Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

Thank you @YellowTack and @teampacey youre both so sweet 🥹 do you know the baby shower thing just didn’t even really cross my mind. She’s my best friend and she’s wanted to be a mum for the longest time. It wasn’t that traditional to be honest, it was in private club with lots of champagne and nibbles so it felt more like a party. I would say the chat with other people about thier kids was tough, I just feel like I have nothing to contribute.

Clinic emailed this morning! If my cycle is on time I will looking to have transfer on 5th November so in four weeks time! Just got to wait for my period to arrive but I’m pretty clockwork so should be ok.

im currently taking wild nutrition supplements, folic acid and coq 10. Is there anything I could/should be taking prior to transfer do you think? I’m back on the diet for now with maybe a few treats here and there. Had quite a lot of fizz at the weekend so that was fun 🥂

@MrsBP15 get some Vit D supplements aswell 🙌

Quick question for anyone who ovulates. I’m currently ovulating (which I always think is such a cruel trick as it’s basically pointless for me though I realise it’s a good thing) and wondered if anyone gets side effects from ovulation? I am feeling completely exhausted and strung out, also quite anxious as previously mentioned, I’m getting headaches too. If I didn’t know any better I would think I’m getting my period but I’m not due for another 2 weeks! I’m just curious really as I’m not sure I’d ever noticed before?

@MrsBP15 Perhaps as you’re anxious, you’re paying more attention to things you hadn’t previously. In regards to ovulation, I do so regularly, I think I do anyway. I occasionally got ovulation pain and discomfort, not over bearing pain but a twinge. Sometimes I got ovulation bleeding, my CM would be pink or have a red streak in it. Headaches can be caused by hormones preparing your body to satisfy whichever function. It’s difficult to say as we’ve all different. I also don’t think your anxiety or stress is going to be helpful to you. I hope you feel better soon. X

PurpleRayne89 · 09/10/2024 12:05

@MrsBP15 you have been so kind and supportive towards others on this thread so hopefully you can extend that to yourself too. Hopefully you get your medication in time. 🕰️

MrsBP15 · 09/10/2024 13:19

@PurpleRayne89 thank you for this. You’re so right everyone is so different and who knows if it’s stress, ovulation or both!! TTC is all about clutching at straws I find. Thank you for your very kind words, that made me feel quite emotional 🥹 (in a good way). I’ve never been very good at putting myself first but I’m trying to be better! Being kind to oneself is very good advice ❤️ medication arriving on Friday so it’s all good!

How are you? I bet you’re excited! Have you had any more tests or anything? Such happy news for you!x

PurpleRayne89 · 09/10/2024 13:34

@MrsBP15 It is hard isn’t it. This TTC journey is unique to us all but one thing we have in common are the emotions and psychological stress we experience. It’s hard to take your own advice. I have a scan booked for 25/10. I am both excited and anxious about it. I had bloods done today. Hopefully her results later today. I’m glad your medication is arriving Friday which means you can finally get the ball rolling. Are you going to do anything alongside treatment? I did acupuncture once a week. X

MrsBP15 · 10/10/2024 08:36

@PurpleRayne89 thats great re your scan though I imagine the wait is pretty hard. Lots of people say that ivf parents find pregnancy more anxious for obvious reasons. There are just so many stages were things could go wrong that a lot of people who conceive naturally don’t tend to worry about as much. I’m certainly looking forward to getting the ball rolling and we have just booked some time away over half term so that will be really nice. I had some acupuncture for ec so I’ll have some again, probably from next week. I’ve also started up with a fertility therapist which I’m really happy about. Then the usual yoga as well so hopefully will be covered! Are you carrying on with acupuncture now?

So sorry @BrightStar2021 - all the best with the next FET! keeping everything crossed for you

CherryBerryBoo · 11/10/2024 10:10

Hi all,

OTD today at 9dp5dt and we have a strong positive and 1-2 weeks on digital. Absolutely over the moon after our 4 failed FETs! Would love to join you on the BFP page.

Daniki · 11/10/2024 10:44

@CherryBerryBoo congrats! 🙌 il see can I tag you on the other thread x

Painty04 · 11/10/2024 17:37

Hey all, firstly, congratulations to all those getting BFP!!! 😁

Secondly, bit of a weird one... So I had a failed FET in Sep, had a light period several days after stopping pessaries and now, right when I should be ovulating (just like you @MrsBP15) I've started spotting and it feels a little like my period is coming. It's not due for another 2 weeks! Is this just the IVF meds messing with my system? Has anyone else had this happen after a failed transfer?

I have an appointment with the nurse next week, but any experiences or insights welcome 🙏😂

teampacey · 12/10/2024 09:37

@BrightStar2021 I'm so sorry lovely. It's rubbish. Wishing you absolutely all the luck for next cycle xx

teampacey · 12/10/2024 09:46

Huge congrats @CherryBerryBoo!!!

teampacey · 12/10/2024 09:47

Hi @Painty04 hope you're doing ok, so sorry I can't help with this one as have no clue. Hopefully someone who has been through it before comes along and can help xx

MrsBP15 · 12/10/2024 10:39

Sorry @Painty04 i got nothing! I’m currently waiting for my period to come in the next two weeks (I hope) so I can have my (delayed) frozen transfer. This is my first round of ivf. I’m very much flying by the seat of my pants, so much so that my meds arrived yesterday and I’ve actually got no idea what they do? I assume it’s to do with your lining? I’m sure it’s been explained to me at some point but there’s just so much info being fed to me that I sometimes miss stuff!

congratulations @CherryBerryBoo so exciting for you!!🎉

PurpleRayne89 · 12/10/2024 10:52

@CherryBerryBoo Congratulations !!!

PurpleRayne89 · 12/10/2024 13:13

@MrsBP15 Whats the names of the medications? Especially they’re to thicken the lining and also cultivate follicles. The stimulation of follicles is to start before a dominant one is naturally chosen by the body to allow them all to grow at similar rate.

MrsBP15 · 12/10/2024 19:45

@PurpleRayne89 ive got progynova tablets and cyclones pessaries. Would these be for follicles? Surely those are being left alone since I’ve had egg collection!!

OP posts:
PurpleRayne89 · 12/10/2024 19:47

@MrsBP15 they are both used to thicken the lining. I think they want to focus on that before stimulating follicles. Do you ovulate on your own? Also, do you have issues building a sufficient lining?

MrsBP15 · 12/10/2024 20:29

@PurpleRayne89 i ovulate like clockwork each month. No idea about my lining haven’t been told I have issues so assuming ok? I didn’t realise they stimulate follicles at this stage as well?
