Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

@xMrsxHx87x omg amazing news! Huge congrats!!!!!

@MrsMc14 enjoy your ET- today you're getting pregnant!

I'm now 6dp5 and I think my very faint positives are getting stronger. They are no longer squinters but they do take a little while to show (well within the time limit though) I've attached this mornings below.

@teampacey looking good 🙌 def recommend getting diff tests Jesus them one step ones were driving me insane as they were quite light compared to other brands 😂 get the boots 5 days earlier I bet you'll have darker lines!

teampacey · 06/10/2024 09:59

I tried that one yesterday @Daniki cos I remembered you saying and I only got a faint line after ages. Really stressed me out 😭
Mine seem to be darker in the evenings atm. I think I'm going to try and find a frer or order one. God does the stress and worry ever end?! (I know the answer is no lol)

Daniki · 06/10/2024 10:05

@teampacey unfortunately no 😂😩 yes I'm the same actually stronger SMU/evenings!

teampacey · 06/10/2024 10:08

Now I'm going to have to do another one with SMU 🤣 my husband just laughs at me now! He's used to me calling him to the bathroom to stare at tests!

YellowTack · 06/10/2024 10:21

@teampacey that looks good! It’s normal to have faint lines only at 6dp5dt!

@MrsMc14 good luck for your ET today!

@xMrsxHx87x congrats!

I have stopped testing from 12dp5dt after positive tests but the wait until the viability scan is so long and I am very anxious. I decided to test again today and thankfully the line was very dark. I am thinking of going for a private HCG blood test next week, I think this would reassure me even though I know not everything relies on HCG!

I am going to visit my best friend abroad next week, and meet her baby for the first time. I am glad I got a positive test because I don’t think I would have managed this very well if I had a negative test.
I still don’t know if I will tell her or not, she knows I was doing IVF in September so she is probably going to ask. I don’t want to lie to her but I am only 5 weeks so it’s so so early!

PurpleRayne89 · 06/10/2024 10:24

Try a different brand of tests. Last cycle for me I got constant false positives on them. I literally was so upset and I hate them. First response if you can or boots early pink dye tests. However, I’m sure your experience is different to my own.

teampacey · 06/10/2024 10:42

@PurpleRayne89 argh oh god really. Right have ordered a FRER and will pick up some other brands today.

@YellowTack thanks lovely. I think for me I would probably tell her. If anything happened would you need her support? Hopefully she will be sensitive and not ask but I think maybe only people who have been through infertility know not to ask and wait to be told!

PurpleRayne89 · 06/10/2024 10:46

@teampacey they were super bright falsies too. When you look on the reviews. So many people in the same boat. I purposely didn’t get them this round. They’re convenient as it’s a cheap way to test out trigger but no thank you. I used FRER this time around and boots.

teampacey · 06/10/2024 15:59

😭😭😭 hope that's not the case. I've been out and got some clear blue- boots didn't have any early detection ones in and I couldn't get to the supermarket before closing. Ordered some frers to come tomorrow. Will do one clear blue tonight and one tomorrow morning

Well....feel better now!

PurpleRayne89 · 06/10/2024 18:44

@teampacey Thats amazing!!! Congratulations. At least you have that piece of mind. My last cycle was just a cruel trick. I couldn’t believe it. I guess it is likely sensible to get some confirmation using different tests. When’s your beta?

xMrsxHx87x · 06/10/2024 19:09

Congratulations @teampacey! Solid result there!

teampacey · 06/10/2024 21:54

Thanks guys! Still don't really believe it!
My OTD is next Monday 14th- my clinic has asked me to get a beta then. I'm not flying back out to Prague for it so need to see if the gp will do it or if I need to pay for one. Either way I'll get it done then and go from there.

Woohoo! Nice to see it in writing 🤩

YellowTack · 06/10/2024 23:00

@teampacey amazing news! Glad you got your confirmation! Hopefully you will be able to celebrate and relax now!

PurpleRayne89 · 07/10/2024 07:05

@teampacey All of that hardwork is paying off. Out your feet up and relax. If you want a faster result then pay for a test. Most GPs, you have to wait a week or so. Perhaps you have more resolve than myself.

I got 2-3 weeks on CBD this morning. I have a blood test at 11am today. I get my results tomorrow. I think this time around I implanted later than my first pregnancy. I have no symptoms at all. If I hadn’t tested, I wouldn’t have know any different. The last time I had sickness, sore boobs, backache and tiredness.

teampacey · 07/10/2024 10:00

Thanks guys!!! Yes so exciting! Keep thinking about telling our family at Christmas and the look of shock on their faces! 🤣
I know I should probably not get too excited as still a long way to go but then I also want to enjoy this happy little bubble!

@PurpleRayne89 yay for 2-3 weeks!!!!

When is everyone registering with the midwife? I'm going to start a new thread for those of us with BFPs after IVF if you want to join?

PurpleRayne89 · 07/10/2024 10:02

@teampacey love to join !!

CherryBerryBoo · 07/10/2024 11:36

Hi ladies.

@teampacey congrats on the BFP!

im 5dp5dt today and have BFP on a FRER! Test day is not til Friday at 9dp5dt! Remaining optimistic but cautious... as we've had a couple of chemicals before. I'm not going to test again until test day now when more FRERs come in the post!

Daniki · 07/10/2024 11:45

@CherryBerryBoo tentative congrats 🙌

teampacey · 08/10/2024 07:54

@CherryBerryBoo amazing news!!!!! Huge congrats! We have a BFP group if you want to join or you can wait until your OTD.

@MrsBP15 how are you doing? Have you been given any further ideas on dates for your FET?

MrsBP15 · 08/10/2024 09:02

Congratulations @teampacey and everyone you have had bfps, so exciting for you!

Nothing from me which is frustrating to be honest. My meds are arriving on Friday because we’re away when my period is due so wanted to get that sorted plus I knew it would take like a week to sort out! I’ve contacted the admin today asking again for them to give me some more info. If I don’t hear back, I’ll text the doctor. I’m finding the waiting and not knowing really difficult. Went to my best friends baby shower at the weekend which was ok but a little tough. All my friends know what I’m going through so that’s not an issue but it’s just…hard. I’m not feeling great to be honest and work is feeling quite stressful. Think I need to get away for a few days if I can.

Sorry for the rant when you’ve got such exciting news. How are you feeling? I bet you’re thrilled!

YellowTack · 08/10/2024 09:40

@MrsBP15 sorry to hear you are not feeling great.

You were very brave to go to your friend’s baby shower while in the middle of IVF, you must be a very good friend.

The wait must be so frustrating, don’t hesitate to follow-up with your clinic as much as you need to get proper answers. I was a bit pushy with my clinic as they were very slow and I am sure my treatment would have been delayed for another month if I hadn’t pushed.

I would definitely recommend a weekend away to change your mind, even though you will still be thinking about IVF the whole time if you are like me, but at least it makes the time go faster :).

teampacey · 08/10/2024 11:16

Thanks @MrsBP15 🩷 your turn next I'm sure.

I agree with @YellowTack you were very brave to go to the baby shower and a great friend. I hope you get something solid in the diary soon- I think the waiting around is the worst part of all this. Sending you lots of hugs. Look after yourself and maybe do some pampering. Oh and eat pate and drink wine- do the things you soon won't be able to 🤞🤞🤞
