Anyone doing IVF round in September?✨

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

That's around double isn't it @PurpleRayne89? So sounds really good. Was yours a frozen or fresh?

@teampacey Double would be 133. It’s an 86% or so increase. I won’t complain too much. I’ll have one more Wednesday next week and then hopefully leave things alone!! I had a fresh transfer as it was an early blast. They didn’t know whether to freeze. Both of mine were early blasts. The second one made it to blast on day 6. It’s a 4BC and in the freezer. I have an early blast grade 1-2 in freezer since 2020. Those are my back up plans.

@teampacey yes ET on Sunday. I go in nice and early so not waiting round.

@MrsMc14 After EC, I had a filet steak work broccoli and a smoothie when I returned home and then slept lol. Main thing is to look after yourself. Two days later I had acupuncture.

I had acupuncture before and after mine then went to the airport 🤣 I got McDonald's fries on the way home and then the next day I slept a lot.

@MrsMc14 I had my EC on September 19th. They only took 8 eggs, 3 fertilised and 2 made it to day 5. It didn't even occur to me that these numbers might be a problem with me being new to the process, and I've generally avoided forums and research until now! We had 1 transferred and the other has been frozen. Due to test on Monday but I'm going to do one tomorrow so I can gauge the situation on a day I'm at home rather than right before I go to work. I just keep focusing on the mantra "it only takes one"! Good luck to you 😊

@teampacey I had McDonald's fries too, after reading an article on it being a thing😂 @MrsMc14 I felt surprisingly OK after my ET. I was home by 12 and then went for a dog walk a couple of hours later. I even felt well enough to go back to work the next day, though I had initially requested two days off. I'd heard horror stories from friends of mine who went through it so I was expecting the absolute worst!

thanks for the reminder about the McDonalds fries. I had read abit it but completely forgotten about.
I’m feeling excited for tomorrow now. Fingers crossed all are still progressing. I’ve booked couple of days off work too just incase. With this being our first time we don’t know what to expect.

I have a blood test Monday and another Wednesday to track my doubling time. My hCG was 122 yesterday and this morning my CBD was still 1-2 weeks. I thought the threshold for CBD 2-3 weeks was 250. I thought my level would have at least increased by 30 or so in 24 hours. What do you think or am I being pedantic?

@PurpleRayne89 I know it's easy to say but I would try very hard not to read too much into it. Tests can be so conflicting and I don't think any of that is an exact science. Some people don't even get a positive til after their periods and then their are people who get a positive at 7/8dpo. The levels for HCG are really wide. Plus you would do to the tests under the exact same conditions to compare exactly. Things like time of day, concentration of urine, how hydrated you are- (which things like the weather, your hormones, amount of sleep, what you've been drinking etc can all impact on how you metabolise fluid and how concentrated your urine is). I have actually never heard that about it needing to be a certain level for 2-3 weeks- did you mean 150 as you put 250?
Also I don't think the increase is linear otherwise they would say it doubles by half each day rather than day doubles 48-72 hours iyswim? So it might only increase a small bit today and then jump up in the next day or two.

As awful as it we cannot change the outcome of this. We just have to try to have faith, enjoy it whilst we can and then deal with things as they happen. Right now you are pregnant, if you can try to hold onto that.

Also I say all that whilst panicking that my tests are evaps/my trigger/a chemical.....we're our own worst enemies!

I'm on 450 Menopur and today, due to a miscommunication with my husband who injects me, we injected around 500. How much of an issue would it be?
I'm day 10 of stims

@naomimn Sorry to hear that happened. It won’t make much difference as the dose doesn’t differ by much. As long as you stay on schedule it’s fine. This cycle I injected less than I was supposed to, more another day and forgot to take my aspirin. It didn’t appear to make much a different because the cycle was somewhat successful. Keep your stress levels and anxiety down. Ask your doctor for reassurance is it helps and best of luck with the cycle x

Morning everyone. Tomorrow (Monday) is official test day, but I decided I would test Sunday for reasons already explained. Woke up at 3.30am desperate for a wee so thought, let's do it. BFP! I burst into tears with excitement, I was hones expecting it to be negative. Obviously need to test again tomorrow and wait for bloods, but so far a good start!
