@Hoppy1985 we are with GCRM how
about you?
any word from your scan?

Loute02 · 05/08/2024 16:52

Hi @AnonS sorry to hear about your past experiences! Do they always cancel the cycles? Can you not wait another week for lining to thicken? What is your protocol?
I don't have any issues with lining but more the progesterone levels did not seem right the last couple times. All things crossed for you that the 4th time is the one!

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 16:52

@Kp121 Just got a call from my clinic. I have to start pessaries on wednesday for transfer Monday PM.

AnonS · 05/08/2024 16:58

@Loute02 I only really get to 6mm at a push. My last cycle they put me on Letrazole which seemed to help. On a natural cycle once, I released 2 eggs, so they were trying to mimic that and I did end up releasing 2 again. They try holding out as long as possibly. Believe I am on 6 abandoned in total.

I do modified naturals, the estrogen tablets and patches do not work, my body likes to build up on it's own for some reason.

Ginie2024 · 05/08/2024 17:01

@Hoppy1985 so exciting!!!! 🥳

Welcome @AnonS, am sorry to hear about the abandoned cycles, it must be exhausting 😔 but I have a good feeling for this month, I think August is our month ladies 💪

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 17:05

@AnonS sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with it. You said you'd have 4 FET's, so is that 4 unsuccessful implantations and 6 abandoned on top? Having to abandon so many cycles i can understand why you feel as you do and sometimes it really just doesn't seem fair. But keep your chin up and know that we're all here as a result of some struggle to conceive so you're in the right place to vent.

I haven't come across Letrazole, is it an injection?

Whysitsohard91 · 05/08/2024 17:52

Hi all, we have 4 Frosties. Long story but our first child has a genetic condition which we could test embryos for but we don’t want to. So currently waiting for clinic to say whether we can use our 4 embryos. When they (hopefully) do, apparently the protocol is just oestrogen tablets then progesterone. I find it weird having no injections - is this normal?

Ginie2024 · 05/08/2024 17:58

Welcome @Whysitsohard91 !
I have injections of progesterone + pessaries. How will you be taking your progesterone?

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 17:59

@Whysitsohard91 do you mean the down regulation part at the start? If so, no i don't think it's unusual. My clinic previously required me to do Buselerin injections at the start for down reg but now they just medicate and follow your natural cycle more closely so I too am only on oestrogen tabs then progesterone, as is a friend i have doing hers through a different clinic to me. Hope that helps!

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 18:01

@Hoppy1985 this time next week!! Exciting! How are you feeling?

Whysitsohard91 · 05/08/2024 18:02

Thank you @Hoppy1985 ! I think I was expecting it to be a similar process to ivf. My cycles are also super irregular so thought they’d need to do more to get the timing right. What stage are you up to? X

Whysitsohard91 · 05/08/2024 18:03

@Ginie2024 i think pessaries? But if levels aren’t high enough I think it’ll be injections. Pessaries are a mess but I find them a bit easier to manage than jabs

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 18:01

@Hoppy1985 this time next week!! Exciting! How are you feeling?

@Kp121 excited but nervous. It's pretty scary knowing this is our last go. I'm so desperate for it to work but what will be will be i guess.

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 18:09

I’m sending you every healthy, happy baby dust for the next couple weeks @Hoppy1985

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 18:11

@Whysitsohard91 do you mean irregular cycle lengths? if so i wouldn't worry too much because as long as they monitor you closely enough it should be fine, the scans will tell them what's going on as you just start taking the oestrogen on the first day of your period so I guess it helps them if you have a really regular cycle but it's not essential.

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 18:12

@Kp121 thanks missus, I appreciate that. Sending the same to you for your TWW. Have you already decided on when you plan to test? Are you going to full hold out, try to or have you already decided to test early? Seems like everyone is different with how they approach it!

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 18:16

Our official date is Sunday 18th which is 13dp5dt
Ill not test until at least day 8 but I feel like I might struggle after that 🫣
Not making any set plans and we will see how we get on. Hubby wants to be here when I test and he gets up at 4.30am during the week so unless I get up early it will have to be the weekend

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 18:36

@Kp121 tricky re the weekends. 4.30am is a cruel time to have to get up, what does he do for a living?!
So working out mine it's going to be that second to last weekend of august as official test time.

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 19:02

He quite likes getting up then 😂he moved to a 7am start but went back to the earlies. He works for a quarry/mobile mechanic.
yup last weekend of August. What clinic are you with?

Whysitsohard91 · 05/08/2024 19:02

yep 39 - 60 day ish cycles. That’s good to know. Just seen your other post, sounds like you’re in the middle of it - fingers crossed for you

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 19:07

@Kp121 he sounds like a nutter - haha. In all honesty I wish I was more of an early morning person. I'm with the assisted conception unit at Guy's Hospital in london. At the time I started it was the only place (other than Glasgow) that did the pre-implantation genetic diagnosis on the NHS.

@Whysitsohard91 oh yeah they are long cycles, has it always been that way? Thank you. Yeah in the middle of my last frozen. I previously had two BFP's that I lost at about 6 and 10 weeks respectively so I'm just going with blind hope this time. When are you expecting to start?

Ginie2024 · 05/08/2024 19:14

@Hoppy1985 out of curiosity, have you tried acupuncture for your last tries?

@Kp121 how are you feeling? 😀

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 19:22

There seems to be a few people at guys @Hoppy1985. I totally agree. Life shouldn’t exist before 8am 😭

i feel ok @Ginie2024 my stomach has given me bit of bother and I feel a bit anxious but I’m ok ☺️

Kp121 · 05/08/2024 19:24

How are you doing @Ginie2024 ?

Hoppy1985 · 05/08/2024 19:25

@Ginie2024 no I haven't though I have seen a few people mention it. Have you?
