Hi @zypig I’m doing good. 7+3 weeks today and going for my clinic scan on Monday.
Had a pretty tough week of symptoms but I’m so grateful to be on this journey that I’m really just trying not to be negative about it. We’re very lucky.
desperately waiting to get to 12 weeks, when I might feel like I can take a breath.
Thanks for asking. How are you doing?

llamajohn · 08/09/2024 06:40

Tested this morning, negative. But no bleeding 🤷‍♀️

llamajohn · 08/09/2024 08:19

Feeling a bit blue.

Now convinced my period or whatever is coming 😞

Ginie2024 · 08/09/2024 09:31

I am sorry @llamajohn , I can totally relate: negative test for me too this morning, and I feel completely numb

Zypig · 08/09/2024 10:06

sorry to hear that @llamajohn & @Ginie2024 , give yourself some time to heal and process. It’s really tough but I promise time will make things a little easier.

@Kp121 same here, so 7w4d today. I have my clinic scan on Monday as well. I actually had a private scan on Friday as I had a voucher to use that was going out of date. Got a heartbeat (and cried..) but measured 1-2 days behind, which they said was fine but they also said that up to a week behind is fine, which I know is not true with IVF (My first transfer I measured 6 days behind with a strong heartbeat and the IVF doctors said I had around a 95% chance of miscarrying - which I did 10 days later). So I’m waiting until Monday to get some more accurate advice and more info, heart rate etc. But hopefully all ok!

My morning sickness started very hard last Saturday and has been really intense this week, I’ve barely left home. It’s way worse than last time but I’m sort of hoping that’s a good sign! I think the progesterone is playing havoc with my digestion & bloating so I’m really hoping they agree I can wean off it earlier than 12 weeks but let’s see! Good luck for your scan 🍀

Kp121 · 08/09/2024 10:18

@Ginie2024 @llamajohn so sorry to read that this morning. There’s nothing I can say that makes it better but keep going, you’re both strong and you will get through this.

@Zypig we had a private 6 week scan and it was amazing to get that reassurance. Measured a day behind but she said at this stage it’s so hard to measure.
im exactly the same with the progesterone. Can’t wait to come off it but the clinic have only sent me enough to 9 weeks anyway. Hope things continue to go well for you

llamajohn · 08/09/2024 12:36

Maybe when I test again in Wednesday it might be positive? Who knows. Just have to wait and see I suppose.

Toinfinityandbeyond24 · 09/09/2024 10:08

Hi Everyone, Just thought id update.

We tested last night when we got back from GNR. I'd completely convinced myself it would be negative as I had pink spotting on Thursday before bed (8dp5dt) We had a good cry then.
But so happy to say its positive. And it looks alot stronger than my chemical last time so we are keeping everything crossed that this is finally it after nearly 2 year & 9 treatments.

I'm so sorry to read those that have not received the best news, I have everything crossed for your next cycle.

If anyone would like to ask me any questions about anything, my doors open, as I know I have trawled through here looking for signs from other ppl that I 'might' have a symptom or at least advice on what I can do to help.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 09/09/2024 11:07

@Toinfinityandbeyond24 my test date is Thursday, on Friday I had some spotting in my underwear, then noticed on the tissue paper, some on a liner, yesterday I noticed it was light pink. I've had some backache for the past few days and like a dull ache/crampy sensation in my lower tummy. This is my third transfer.
Congratulations on your positive ✨️

Toinfinityandbeyond24 · 09/09/2024 11:45

@Rainbowsunshine81 Thankyou. It was only when I wiped (tmi) before doing my progesterone before bed.
I felt like my period was going to start aswell. (In my head it was day 28 of my cycle so i was telling myself it was) The lower crampy feeling & I had a bad lower back but had put that down to me being constipated & bloated.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 09/09/2024 11:53

@Toinfinityandbeyond24 mine has been similar. That's how I've felt for the past few days. I'm on progesterone too, lubion and progynova. I was on aspirin aswell but the clinic told me to stop taking it.

Toinfinityandbeyond24 · 09/09/2024 12:16

@Rainbowsunshine81 I have everything crossed for you.
I'm on lubion, utrogestan x 3, Prednisolone, Tinzaparin, Aspirin, Estrogen, Folic Acid, High Strength Vit D & a Womens Pro Biotic.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 09/09/2024 13:06

@Toinfinityandbeyond24 Thank you ❤️ I've had intraplids as one of the natural killer cell blood testing came back higher than normal. Have been taking folic acid and vitamin D.

Zypig · 09/09/2024 15:02

Congrats @Toinfinityandbeyond24, try to remain cautiously optimistic. I’ve probably had a similar journey to you - 3 years and 8 treatments. This being my third transfer. I had my 7w5d scan today and all was good although a couple of days behind but they said that was fine so I’ve been discharged from the fertility unit! I’ve just got some v. light bleeding but the woman doing the ultrasound was brutal so I think she probably hit my cervix a bit! 😂 surely I can’t miscarry 4 hours after they said it was fine.

Good luck on your ongoing journey!

@Kp121 how did your scan go? Did they explain how to ‘taper’ off your meds?

Kp121 · 09/09/2024 15:20

Hi @zypig scan was lovely thank you! When’s yours?
they didn’t mention tapering off. They just said I had to message them to get more because they consistently don’t give me enough of anything and
keep having to reorder so I’ll ask when I get them :)

llamajohn · 09/09/2024 15:29

Since my negative on Sunday morning, I 've had all the mild cramps, lower back dull ache feelings etc. but have to be realistic for test 2 on Wednesday morning. It will be negative and I think my body/mind is playing tricks with me, it's so annoying that symptoms of success and failure are pretty much the same!

Am feeling a bit resentful of taking the medicine right now.

Zypig · 09/09/2024 15:52

@llamajohn totally know the feeling. I had the same with my last transfer where I had an earlier negative and then had to keep going with the meds. How many days post transfer is your OTD? Mine was 14 days which seemed ages for a 5day blast
in comparison to some others at the 10 day mark.

llamajohn · 09/09/2024 15:53

My test on Sunday was 10 days post (transfer was on Thurs 29) so, second test on weds will be 13 days

Zypig · 09/09/2024 15:55

@Kp121 mine was this morning. Measuring 2 days behind but they said that was fine and the heartbeat was decent at 159bpm. The tapering plan they gave me is pasted below. I’m on a fully medicated FET so no corpus luteum but even then this seems fairly conservative. I’m so done with progesterone bloating 😑

  • To stop lubion, evorel patches and Arovi (enoxaparin) at 10 weeks
  • To taper Per oral progynova from 3 times a day to once daily at 12 weeks and then stop at 14 weeks
  • To stop per vaginal progynova(2 daily) at 12 weeks
  • To taper cyclogest from 2 times a day to once daily at 12 weeks, then stop at 14 weeks
Toinfinityandbeyond24 · 09/09/2024 16:05

@zypig Yes we are. We know its only the 1st step after 3 failed IUI & 6 ivf Transfers the last which ended in a chemical, we know its early days & will be counting down to our scan on the 30th.
@llamajohn sorry to hear about ur result.

Kp121 · 09/09/2024 16:46

Thanks @Zypig im planning to taper things as well rather than just stop
we were measuring bang on 7w5d but we didn’t get a heart beat number

Zypig · 09/09/2024 17:49

@Kp121 that’s great news. If you get given a tapering plan I’d be interested to see how long they keep you on everything in comparison. Are you on a fully medicated or a natural cycle?

Kp121 · 09/09/2024 17:50

Fully medicated @Zypig. I’ll let you know if I hear anything :)

Coffeeandbannans · 10/09/2024 10:16

Ginie2024 · 04/09/2024 23:06

I am so sorry @AnonS , it really is sht 😔

@Coffeeandbannans you are doing bloods without giving them the test result? For me I have to test at home and I'll do bloods only if I get a BFP. Good luck for tomorrow, not long left now

Yeah, my clinic don't recommend you test at home, they tell you to wait until bloods as that is more accurate.

I had my bloods last Thursday and was floored when they called with the result because i knew I was pregnant, I felt pregnant and had been singing away to the little nestled embryo. When they called with the results they said that the HCG levels showed that a pregnancy had occurred but they need to test again in a week as the levels show that it is unlikely to result in a successful pregnancy, I think they said they wanted a level of over 100 but the level was 60 on OTD. I've been numb ever since and hope has been dwindling. I've not had any bleeding so part of me want to believe that there's still a chance but I think I know what the result will be this Thursday. We only have one embryo left and it's a hatching C grade Embryo, so I will be continuing to live like I am pregnant until that is transferred.

Hope everyone else is OK.

positivepetal · 10/09/2024 16:20

Hi ladies,

I also had a BFP on Sunday & Monday.
Clinic asked me to come in for bloods on Monday, my HCG was 80 (this was 12 days post transfer). They said it looked ok but want me to go back tomorrow for another set of bloods. This has me worried now.
