@positivepetal Hi and welcome 😊
Don't think it matters what day so much from my experience, but all about your lining measurement! Seems clinic dependant but mine wanted 8mm so that delayed us a bit. So as long as your lining is nice and cosy for that embryo you should be fine! How are you feeling?

positivepetal · 22/08/2024 12:38

@MA48 I'm feeling totally fine atm, last time I took the cyclogest I had some very sore boobs- so not looking forward to that.

The nurse did mention something about a triple layer lining - so hoping that's a good thing!

MA48 · 22/08/2024 12:44

@positivepetal oh the cyclogest, hate them! Make me so bloated.
Sounds like a very good thing, let us know how you get on!

Ginie2024 · 22/08/2024 19:20

Huge congrats @Gnatalie16 !! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and it's only happiness from now on 😍
Welcome @positivepetal ! The 3 lines are good indeed 💪 my (hopefully last) scan is tomorrow so we might be doing our transfers around the same time 🥳

CharlieBarlie1 · 22/08/2024 19:24

@Coffeeandbannans we will have the dreaded wait together. We had 18 eggs but none fertilised until they tried rescure isci the next day. Luckily we ended up with 1 high grade embryo so keeping hopeful that this might be a lucky one. Wishing you lots of luck too.

@Gnatalie16 congratulations to you, I love seeing positive IVF stories as it gives us all hope that one day that could be us too! X

SamVan · 22/08/2024 23:29

@Hoppy1985 @Zypig thanks for your kind words. Sorry I didn’t reply sooner, I’ve been keeping off mumsnet due to anxiety. Unfortunately I’m out and the chemical was confirmed by bloods. It’s been quite difficult getting over it tbh even though it was just a few days but just have to try again I suppose. hope it’s going well for both of you ❤️

@Gnatalie16 congratulations on your positive! What fabulous news!

Gnatalie16 · 23/08/2024 07:06

Thank you everyone for all the lovely messages. I have my scan booked for 12th September which is just before my birthday too so hoping all will be okay.
Wishing all of you the very best and hope you all get that BFP very very soon xx

@Gnatalie16 congratulations! I think we were on a previous group together before- so happy it's worked out for you and a lovely present for your birthday!

@MA48 - ah yes forgot about the bloating- last time I was so bloated I actually looked pregnant 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Ginie2024 - fingers crossed transfer buddy! I am due for transfer Wednesday morning.

Hoppy1985 · 23/08/2024 10:48

@SamVan I'm really, really sorry to hear that. Having your hopes lifted and dashed in a matter of days just seems so cruel. I feel like this whole process is cruel, the fact that we all have to go through it in the first place is cruel.

It is my OTD day today. I took the hospital provided test this morning and got a BFN so I've emailed them to let them know. Unfortunately that was my last frozzie left after 3 rounds so I'm really really out. I just need to wallow for a bit about the unfairness of life etc etc.

I sincerely wish all the luck in the world to those of you still at any point in your journey and I hope with all my heart that you have success xxx

SamVan · 23/08/2024 10:57

@Hoppy1985 I’m absolutely devastated and heartbroken for you about your bfn. This whole process is indeed so cruel and unfair full of highs and lows. I’m sorry you’ve reached the end of your process. I really hoped your last frostie would be the one and I’m sorry it didn’t work out. Do wallow all you want and take your time to grove the loss. It is so unfair that it comes so easily to some people and not others. I feel so sad that some women who drink and don’t even want a child get pregnant so easily while here we are doing everything right and it doesn’t work. Please do take care of youself and sending love and prayers for you ❤️

AnonS · 23/08/2024 11:56

@Gnatalie16 Congratulations, that's amazing.

@Hoppy1985 I'm sorry to hear that, life is so unfair.

I had my 4th transfer today, my partner was super excited and asked me how I am, I honestly couldn't care now, so over it. I'm carrying on as usual (minus the alcohol of course).

Coffeeandbannans · 26/08/2024 08:04

So my first FET is tomorrow. Any advice? do's an don'ts?

positivepetal · 26/08/2024 22:27

@Coffeeandbannans I heard pineapple is good to have, rest but keep moving and there's the myth around the McDonald's fries- I had them both times but not sure it helped!

I'll be having my transfer Wednesday - got told today my progesterone levels aren't quite as they expected so they've given me Lubion in addition to the cyclogest.

positivepetal · 26/08/2024 22:28

@Hoppy1985 @SamVan so sorry to hear of your BFNs. Take the time you need to rest and recover - it's a long and difficult journey both mentally and physically. Enjoy that glass of vino!

MA48 · 27/08/2024 06:56

Been a whirlwind of a weekend. Otd was Saturday but husband away so tested Sunday evening when he was home. Digital test - BFN. Convinced it was wrong because it wasn't first urine so tested again Monday am. Digital - BFN, but line test had a faint line. Googling said the digitals weren't as sensitive. Tested again this morning with FRER and the other little ones, nothing. So no luck here 😔 feel crap, was so sure I felt different this time. Turns out just the meds messing with me.

Ginie2024 · 27/08/2024 13:20

@SamVan @MA48 @Hoppy1985 I am so sorry about your results 😔 it's such an emotional investment and yet it can be all over in seconds, just by pi**ing on a stick...
@Loute02 and those who have done their transfers, how's the wait going?
@positivepetal avoid perfume! That's one that comes back often I think, no strong smell that could affect the embryo before they transfer it.

I have just done my intralipid, not feeling much after it so I hope my body understands the message!

Loute02 · 27/08/2024 13:59

@MA48 sorry to hear about your test result 😔 so hard to go through it... Hope you take care of yourself and your husband is there with you.

@Ginie2024 I'm 7dp5dt and holding on 😊 think I'll be ok to wait until it's on Saturday. I keep myself busy and the long weekend was a good opportunity to get out of the house. When is your transfer? Tomorrow? How are you feeling? What are the intralipids for?

positivepetal · 27/08/2024 14:56

Hi ladies
I got a call from my clinic last night and they asked me to start Lubion right away. Has anyone taken these injections? It was painful and still feeling sore today! Any tips?

Loute02 · 27/08/2024 15:19

I take them every morning 😊 I have a few bruises around my belly. Ive seen some people using a pack of ice on the injection site or injecting in their thighs. I just alternate sides on my belly. Hopefully someone can come along with more advice!

AnonS · 27/08/2024 16:50

@positivepetal I am taking them daily in the morning. I do them in my thigh as I find it less painful especially afterwards, no creasing of belly rolls or trouser/skirt band. I'd advise warming up the vial first, which I do either in hands or under boob (dont judge its warm and snug there) and inject very slowly. I can only tell there area is tender if I touch it and bruise if I hit a vessel.

Ginie2024 · 27/08/2024 19:39

Same here, Lubion in the morning and cyclogest twice a day - they actually just called me saying my progesterone is quite low so I now have the pleasure to do 3 cyclo a day + the painful Lubion 🤪
Not much advice from me on Lubion, I alternate the side of my belly too, it does hurt but less when you do it in diagonal instead of vertically. I never bothered with the ice pack as that's too much organisation for me and in the thighs it's even more painful 🙄

@Loute02 hold tight!! You're testing on Saturday? Did you resist so far? Well done!!!

Transfer is on Thursday morning, first one so am quite anxious! The intralipids are to reduce my level of NK cells coz my immune system is too strong and my body could reject the embryo...the irony, when you try all your young life to be strong and healthy and not get pregnant...

positivepetal · 28/08/2024 10:23

Thanks ladies!

The site of jab is very sore at touch for me too! I haven't had any bruising yet..

I'll try the ice pack, the thighs & diagonal to see if that makes any difference.

I was already on cyclogest 3 times a day and now they have added the Lubion.

Transfer day today for me 🙏🏽

Ginie2024 · 28/08/2024 11:53

Good luck @positivepetal and let us know how it goes!

Zypig · 28/08/2024 12:06

Hi @positivepetal I have been using lubion for a while now. This is transfer #3 for me using it (one got to 9 weeks so I used it for ages then). Through trial and error by far the best approach I’ve found it to use heat straight after and gently massage the area. I bought a tiny bean bag from Amazon that I can heat quickly in the microwave. One of my nurses mentioned this to me as apparently it helps the viscous liquid disperse quicker rather than sitting as a lump under your skin. It can help to use ice to numb in the moment but I don’t think it will help the tenderness a day later, hence the heat tactic! If I don’t do the heat the whole area is so tender for days after for me. It also definitely is less painful after the first week or so for me once my body is used to it.

If you have been told to inject subcutaneously (belly fat) I wouldn’t switch to inter muscular (thigh) without checking with your nursing team first in case it impacts the absorption.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

Hi Guys, long time lurker on here & finally plucked up the courage to comment.ha.
Same sex couple,
3 x failed iui paid for but in NHS clinic then changed clinic and to ivf
4 egg collections in total
3 x fresh Transfers
3 x Frozen Transfers
Have had a Frozen transfered today.

Our last transfer gave us our 1st ever positive but sadly resulted in a chemical.

No known issues other than ovulation which we found out upon initial ivf tests.
Currently on, Utrogestan 3 x daily, Lubion, Prednisolone, Baby Aspirin, Estrogen & Tinzaparin injections. Seems alot when I write it down.
Separately I take High Strength Vitamin D, Folic Acid, Womens Pro Biotic & Omeprazole for a stomach problem I have.
I did take High Strength Coq10 prior to egg collections.
Fingers crossed this time & wish you all the best of luck.
