Hello! I wondered if anybody else has recently tested positive after a transfer and would like to chat and pass the next few nerve wracking weeks with me? 😊

I had my FET on 27th June and my OTD was yesterday 🎉

I know there's other similar threads out there at the min with really lovey ladies on there, but they all seem to be 8-10 weeks ahead so I thought it might be nice to share a new one.

No particular plans for me. Although I find my mind can still easily wander. Today I started worrying about the fact my scan date is the day before I go to the Lake District with my sister and friends so if it's bad news it's going to be tough.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend

lemonyfox · 13/07/2024 21:21

I cleaned the house today to keep myself busy - how exciting! 😂

@Overlyanxiousim sure it'll all be fine ❤️

Morning, hope everyone’s ok.

I’ve woken up so anxious and scared this morning. On the one hand, I’m so happy to be pregnant, but I’m also just so so scared of it going wrong. I’m driving myself mad googling symptoms, lack of symptoms, success rates etc etc 🤦🏻‍♀️. Hope other people are a bit calmer!!

Overlyanxious · 14/07/2024 11:41

Morning @Always28 I feel the same. I'm convinced now it's going to be a miscarriage. It just doesn't feel right (compared to my previous pregnancies - miscarriage and Ds). There's not much we can do though until we have a scan ☹️

lemonyfox · 14/07/2024 18:04

I think we're all the same boat tbh, it's such an anxious time. But all we can do is keep busy, keep positive, and keep counting down to the significant milestones of scans and appointments ❤️

@Always28 @overlyanxious I'm so sorry you're both really struggling with anxiety, it's really horrible not knowing what is going on in there. I think we have to try and remind ourselves that there's nothing we can do to affect the outcome now and try to keep ourselves out of that cycle of worry (easier said than done I know!) I really hope the days pass quickly for you both and the scans bring some reassurance 🩷

@lemonyfox that's such a shame that some doctors take different views on things! I'm glad your doctor supported you taking it. I do wonder if I should have tried metformin alongside the letrozole, it might have helped, but I guess I'll never know now! How are you doing?

@HollyTheHarrier so many of us in the PCOS boat! Sounds like your doctor made a good call recommending FET, I had that with my first round and the waiting after egg collection does feel really long but I guess it has proved to be the right call and no doubt you're glad now to be pregnant without all that awful swelling!

I'm 5+6 today and have started with a little bit of nausea. My husband bought some ginger beer for me and a few sips does seem to help (sorry for TMI but it seems to make me burp which then seems to ease the sicky feeling!) I don't know if anyone else has any wonder cures?! I guess it's a good sign anyway so I won't complain!

lemonyfox · 14/07/2024 19:39

@IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday honestly who knows, but I do wonder sometimes why IVF doctors don't throw everything in their arsenal towards getting their patients pregnant. Cost probably.

I'm feeling absolutely fine, I have incredibly sore boobs today and I'm more tired than usual, but no sickness or anything. I had mild morning (well afternoon) sickness in my first pregnancy and ginger biscuits helped a little. I was also drinking tonic water because I had restless legs (I'd just broken my leg too!) and that also seemed to help the sickness too, maybe the burping too haha.

I'm also 5+1 and I got a 3+ on my last Clear Blue Digi today which has really helped settle my nerves at something going wrong, at least for now 😅

Overlyanxious · 14/07/2024 20:18

I keep trying to tell myself that I can't change it even if it is bad news. I thought I would be less anxious this time but I think I'm worse.

@IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday I found ice pops, cereal and chips helped with nausea last time. Mainly the ice pops.

I'm sorry others are feeling anxious too x

HollyTheHarrier · 14/07/2024 20:27

I hear you all on the anxiety. My tests are still quite light and yesterday was particularly light. I tried to convince myself that I had more dilute urine but then had cramps all day so been worrying quite a lot. Has anyone had blood tests by the clinic to confirm HCG levels? I am wondering whether to ask for one

Overlyanxious · 14/07/2024 20:32

@HollyTheHarrier oh that sounds stressful. Yes I had my bloods taken by them. Not that it seems to have helped my anxiety

IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday · 15/07/2024 18:29

Tagging @lrv1987 as she's in our little club too 🥰

lemonyfox · 15/07/2024 18:47

@HollyTheHarrier have you spoken with your clinic to see if they'll do a beta test? Hopefully they will for you

Hi @lemonyfox yes I emailed them and they got me to go straight in, thankfully result was normal so they are happy! Such a relief! And I got a scan date for 9 August. Hope everyone else is doing ok 😊

lemonyfox · 15/07/2024 18:58

@HollyTheHarrier oh amazing, what a relief! What a lovely clinic.

What did your HCG come back at? How many dp transfer are you now?

OP posts:
IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday · 15/07/2024 19:10

@lemonyfox oh gosh broken leg in your last pregnancy sounds awful! I'm sorry about the sore boobs and tiredness, it must be tough when you already have a little one to run around after and you're feeling exhausted.

Thank you for the tips @Overlyanxious

@HollyTheHarrier I haven't been offered any blood tests but it's worth asking your clinic if you would like to know one way or the other. Fingers crossed it is just diluted urine. Cramps I think can be normal too. Everything makes you question yourself so much, it's hard

Lrv1987 · 15/07/2024 19:55

Thanks @lemonyfox !
One day after official test date and scan on 30th- just want to fast forward ! Miscarried at 6.5 weeks earlier in the year so feeling really burned from that.
How are you all doing? Feeling okay? Symptoms? Xxx

HollyTheHarrier · 15/07/2024 20:12

@lemonyfox they haven’t given me a number, I’ve asked if they can send me the full report as they usually do and I like having the data as I’m a nerd! I’m 14 days post transfer now.
@Lrv1987 sorry about your previous loss, I am struggling not to panic and I haven’t had that experience so can’t imagine how you must be feeling
Thank you @IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday looks like you were right and all seems to be ok so will try to chill for now!

lemonyfox · 15/07/2024 20:12

@IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday aww thanks, he's a good'un so it's not so bad.

@Lrv1987 oh god that must have been tough, and so traumatising. How many weeks are you now?

OP posts:
Lrv1987 · 15/07/2024 21:00

Thanks @HollyTheHarrier definitely feeling burned from last time but trying to stay positive ❤️😊
@lemonyfox - will be 5 weeks tomrorow
Just want to fast forward past 12 weeks now. 😭😂🙈

lemonyfox · 16/07/2024 08:31

@Lrv1987 oh god absolutely, counting down every day to the little milestones!

Hi guys, can I join! Had my BFP last Friday on OTD and had blood test to confirm. Will be 5 weeks tomorrow. Scared/can’t believe it yet. It’s my 4th transfer, 1 chemical & 2 BFNs from last cycle - this was my fresh transfer from 2nd collection.

lemonyfox · 16/07/2024 16:34

@ScullyLyf hello and congratulations!! You must be so relieved it's worked after 3 previous transfers. How long has it been since your first egg collection til this point? Have you got a viability scan date yet? I'm 5+3 so not too far ahead of you!

OP posts:
ScullyLyf · 16/07/2024 16:43

@lemonyfox feeling nervous, don’t think we’ve accepted it yet 😂 but I’m sure that’s normal. First collection was July last year, second collection was end of June this year so basically a year. How are you feeling? Scan is booked for 2nd August
