Hello! I wondered if anybody else has recently tested positive after a transfer and would like to chat and pass the next few nerve wracking weeks with me? 😊

I had my FET on 27th June and my OTD was yesterday 🎉

I know there's other similar threads out there at the min with really lovey ladies on there, but they all seem to be 8-10 weeks ahead so I thought it might be nice to share a new one.

@Rosequartzz ah I'm sorry you're feeling rough, it's not glamorous is it. My sickness thankfully has been fading away since 9 weeks, but I'm still bloated and have heartburn. I'm also SICK TO DEATH of lubion and progynova and cyclogest. I've been having terrible insomnia and mood swings since I started them before FET and I'm just fed up of it. I'm surprised my husband hasn't walked out by this point because I'm so exhausted and angry all the time 😅

My clinic told me to stop cold turkey at exactly 12 weeks, which will be this Saturday for me. Can't bloody wait. What have you been advised?

Though my booking midwife told me to start taking aspirin at 12 weeks, so if you're already taking it I'm not sure on stopping that at 12 weeks. Though I have "moderate risk factors" for preeclampsia (first being IVF, second being BMI) so if you're low risk then perhaps you can also stop that at 12 weeks too.

Feel like we rattle when we walk with all these pills in us!

Glad to hear your sickness has faded. Mine started 2 weeks ago so will see how long it lasts. Heartburn I've got the worst of it under control. Lubion for me stopped last week (week 9) progynova, cyclogest and clexane is until week 12. I'll double check for the aspirin when I have the midwife appointment

hey :)

I’m also feeling really sick constantly. Some days are worse than others but it’s always there. I also have heartburn.

I had a scan on Tuesday which was all good. I’m still feeling quite anxious and worrying about the next scan - but trying not to, and to enjoy the loveliness of actually being pregnant. I think I just find it hard to believe it can really be happening after so long waiting and all that’s gone into the journey.

I had originally been told to stop progesterone at 12 weeks. But after having a small bleed about 10 days ago (hence the EPU scan on Tuesday), I’ve now been told to carry on to 16 weeks. However, I’m a bit stressed because of the cost - particularly the pinion. I’m trying to get an NHS prescription for it but it’s proving difficult as my consultant is on holiday and the GP isn’t allowed to prescribe it - the system literally won’t let her. I’m not sure if maybe the EPU can help me.

Oh and I have been told to carry on with aspirin right the way through the pregnancy. Clexane until 16 weeks.

How are you coping with the sickness ? Glad to hear all went well with the scans, every different thing makes me so worried and then I wonder if I should get a other scan done. Did you find out what was causing the bleeding ? At 7 weeks my bleed was caused by a hematoma, at week 9 it was no longer showing on the scan, was so scary ! Can your ivf clinic to prescribe for you ? Surely any consultant will be able to access your notes and prescribe it.

How you getting on with Clexane? It's causing me sooo much swelling I have a little pouch

hja62 · 27/08/2024 19:43

Hi All! Great to hear everyone’s updates, but sorry to hear everyone still quite miserable with sickness and symptoms 🤢 but at least everyone’s journey is going well ! I’m 13+5 today, and really turned a corner last week thank god. Still a bit tired, and get a little queasy in the evening but the fog has lifted and I’m starting to feel like myself again! Hopefully that gives ye some hope 😀

I weaned off my prolutex (lubion) at 12 weeks and have just taken my last crinone gel this evening!! So glad to be done with meds. I stopped my clexane and aspirin at 7 weeks when they discovered the hematoma. I'm back on the aspirin now and will be on it until 37 weeks.

@Always28 I have 14 vials of lubion (marketed as prolutex here in Ireland) I am happy to post to you if that helps any bit? Have a couple of boxes of clexane too if they're any use to anyone.

Always28 · 28/08/2024 09:23

Morning

@Rosequartzz the sickness is a bit draining but there are some days that are better than others. Im snacking a lot so slightly worried that I’m going to put on weight that isn’t really baby related! But seems ok so far. That’s good that the hematoma seemed to have gone on your 9 week scan. They couldn’t see any reason for my bleed so think it could be from cervix. The clexane is giving me a lot of bruises…

@hja62 that’s great that you’re feeling a bit better now. Thank you so much on the lubion/prolutex - that would be amazing if you didnt mind. I can transfer you money for the postage plus some extra.

hja62 · 28/08/2024 11:12

@Always28 no problem at all, I've sent you a PM x

lemonyfox · 28/08/2024 18:25

@Always28 I'll also have 6 vials of Lubion left after I stop on Saturday - they're a box of 7 and annoyingly I'll only need one! Have all the needles and stuff as well, so if you need more let me know and I'll happily post too x

@hja62 and @lemonyfox thank you so much. It’s so lovely to have posted and worried about something and then had lovely offers to help me out. I really appreciate it.

I also just really appreciate this group in general. It’s nice to share the journey with people and be able to talk things through. It’s definitely easing my anxiety.

lemonyfox · 31/08/2024 07:18

How is everyone doing? I stop all my meds after today as I'm 12 weeks now, feeling a bit weird about it and worrying something might go wrong! Which is silly I know.

@Always28 you're so welcome 💕

@lemonyfox great to hear you've finished your meds, it feels like another milestone met!! I'm 14+2 today, symptoms almost completely gone but haven't felt baby move yet. So basically so don't feel pregnant at all....cue more anxiety 🙈🙈 scan at 15+6 on Sept 11th so counting down to that 🤞🏻

lemonyfox · 02/09/2024 20:34

@hja62 oooo lovely will that be a gender scan for you?

OP posts:
hja62 · 02/09/2024 22:06

I don't think we're going to find out the gender!! Another surprise 💗💙

lemonyfox · 03/09/2024 12:25

@hja62 ahhh you have a stronger will than I do! 😂

We had our 12 week scan today and all is looking good. The baby was wriggling a lot which was lovely to watch. Despite the fact it was my 5th scan, I was still so so nervous beforehand, and still can’t quite believe there’s a baby in there! I do feel good for getting past that 12 week mark though and think it will help just a little bit!

The baby is now measuring 12+4. So that gives a due date of 14th March.

Weirdly my nausea seems to have increased today and yesterday! Hoping it’s a surge before it all eases but we’ll see.

We’re not going to find out either

hja62 · 04/09/2024 20:12

@Always28 congratulations on making it to the 12 week mark 😃 it's definitely feels like a milestone!! So glad all was well at your scan xx

Hi @lemonyfox ☺️ Doing well thanks, 33 weeks now!! Don’t think it’s sunk yet, still. And definitely underestimated the tiredness. Are you feeling ready? How are you feeling?

lemonyfox · 30/01/2025 17:33

@ScullyLyf good to hear it! I'm 34 weeks today, I finish work in just over a week and I can't WAIT. The exhaustion has been horrendous this whole pregnancy but I'm feeling excited too, I'd say I'm 70% prepared 😂

Always28 · 31/01/2025 07:16

Morning :)

I’m good thanks. 34 weeks today. I have a midwife appointment this morning so hopefully that will be all good.

I have a planned c section booked on 25th Feb because of my history.

Currently trying to decide if it would be ok to drive 100 miles to see my dad for a weekend beforehand. I could really do with a break and some downtime.

Hope everyone else is ok and it’s all going well.

IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday · 04/02/2025 00:16

Hi everyone,

Glad to hear everyone is well, if tired!

I'm good thanks, 35 weeks today. Unfortunately I have gestational diabetes so not thrilled to be higher risk BUT I am managing it with diet so far so fingers crossed that continues.

Not struggling too badly with tiredness (working from home has been a godsend for this!) and I'm not too uncomfortable. Not sure i feel quite ready for the baby yet, we've packed bags and half-organised the nursery but I'd like to be a bit more organised in the next week or two!

lemonyfox · 04/02/2025 11:19

@Always28 that's exciting, you're having a baby this month! If it gives you time to recharge then go for it, but I'm not sure my bladder would cope on such a long drive at this point 😂

@IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday ah I'm sorry, I've got GD this time round too. Have they given you any guidance on birth plans with GD? I found the doctors can be a bit pushy about early induction in my case which is annoying.

OP posts:
IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday · 06/02/2025 15:36

@lemonyfox I'm sorry you're in the same boat. Are you managing with diet or on meds?
The GD team have explained the early induction recommendations but they've all been clear that it would ultimately be my choice. I'm sorry yours are more pushy, I understand they have to explain the guidelines but it doesn't need to be more than a recommendation!

I was supposed to be making a plan with them for birth at last week's appointment, but then the growth scan showed baby had fallen below the 10th centile - so we've got another scan next week to then make a plan based on that, as they said if there's still a slow growth concern they'd want to plan an induction based on that more so than GD. All fun and games!

I am very keen to avoid induction but equally don't want to put the baby at risk. I am hoping the slow growth was just a measurement error, as she's very active. I think I will book an induction for GD (I'm diet controlled so they're saying by 41 weeks) but then see how I feel nearer that time and maybe have a couple of days monitoring if I think i might have a chance of going naturally if given a little more time and baby/placenta all looking okay.

lemonyfox · 12/02/2025 18:51

@IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday that's fair enough, it's hard to know what's the right decision but just go with what you feel most comfortable.

When's your repeat scan? What percentile were you tracking on before the drop to the 10th?

I'm on metformin, but I was before pregnancy anyway for PCOS so just stayed on it. Which is slightly annoying as my hospitals view for induction for those "medication controlled" is induction between 38-39 weeks. So even though my sugars are always fine, and there's no fetal or maternal complications, they've still gone with that. So my induction is booked for 39 weeks now. Which I'm okay with overall because I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable now!
