I’ve looked for a thread for August but couldn’t find one? (Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
We are starting a long protocol at the beginning of July ready for stims and EC in August. This is our first IVF, I’ve been infertile for 15 years due to complications during endo surgery so always knew IVF was my only option. I met my DH seven years ago and now we are ready to try our luck.

I suddenly feel quite anxious about the whole process although I’ve known it’s my only option for a long time, now I've finally actually looked into what's involved and people's experiences. I’ve had to loose 5st to get my bmi inside requirements which has been incredibly hard but I’m proud I got to this point.

I've got quite a complicated gynea history so preparing myself for a rocky ride, but I’m also thankful for my medical history because I’m already very used to those awful internal scans 🤣

Thanks all! I can't believe it really, tested again today and there is decent line progression so far. Hopefully this is the start of good things for this group!!

@limebird main difference this time was doing a double 3dt, all previous have been single 5-day blasts. I also had acupuncture immediately after transfer which I haven't done before, it was the midwife who did it.

@Danika I first tested on 8dp3dt, so the equivalent of 6dp5dt (11dpo).

I did end up in hospital yesterday with OHSS, technically 'mild' (didn't feel mild, was agony!) however I was right on the cusp of mild/moderate. I've had to come in again today to check it hasn't got worse in which case I'll be kept in, but despite a terrible night I feel better so am optimistic they'll let me go home :)

I’d say it’s pretty normal during stims especially when you’ve so many follicles 🙂

I've also been feeling many more ovary twinges the last couple of days. I'm on day 8 - so 6th day of gonal f and 2nd day of the ovulation suppressant. I have my first scan on Tuesday to see how the little follicles are getting on.

You're lucky! Both times by about day 5 of Meriofert I bloat out. Last time a little girl kept asking me how my baby was in public. I certainly breathed in then! I've just had a reaction to the Fyremadel for the first time tonight. A little lump appeared under my skin at the injection site which has started to grow. Currently sat with an ice pack on it which seems to be helping.

@Tiz90 I have had minimal even close to no symptoms scared the meds aren't working and don't have a. Scan until day 10 on stims

I'm having my first scan tomorrow so stims day 10 scared and hoping we have follicles in there as had hardly no symptoms from the stomach drugs (on Menotrophin and Cetrorelix)
Caved and had a glass of wine as too stressed we went out for a meal and I caved, feel awful hoping this doesn't impact anything

@camelinastorm please try not to worry regarding the lack of symptoms. With being so bloated before my scan on my first cycle I thought I must be bursting with follicles and I was so excited thinking the medication must be working well. It was the opposite to what I thought though. My first cycle was cancelled and changed to an attempt at natural conception. I think symptoms or no symptoms we just don't know what is happening inside of us until we have a scan. My first scan of this second cycle is tomorrow too, after one week of stims. So sorry about the OHSS, it sounds like a nightmare. How are you feeling? Is it any better?

My partner went in for her first scan on day 4 of stims, and they could see 4 follicles over 10mm. We've been a bit anxious about it (her baseline AFC was 15, so I think subconsciously we expected to see more), but I'm really trying to remind myself in those panicky moments that it's more about quality rather than quantity, after all. And that we're still incredibly lucky to have any at all.
She's going in for another scan today (after 8 days of stims), so I'm really looking forward to seeing if any more of them grew over those past few days.

Has anyone on here had more follicles show up/grow in the last few days of stimulation or retrieved during the ER?😊

@Zeeha oh hope your scan goes well, yes it's a strange one as you literally don't know until that scan

@camelinastorm , @Zeeha is right, who knows. Everyone's body is so different. I usually feel twinges around ovulation time anyway so I've assumed it just means they're stronger on the stims. I hope everything goes well for you both today. I'm nervous mine is tomorrow (tuesday) to see what's going on. I'm keeping everything crossed for collection on Friday as that would be day 13.

@camelinastorm please don't worry! I'm trying to take a sensible approach to alcohol. We've massively cut down, but I don't punish myself for a very occasional glass! I went deep into the research and unless we're regularly drinking significant amounts it's unlikely to impact.

@GLizzie88 oh exciting, there seems to be a few of us with a similar time, we are just driving there now, good luck for tomorrow I'm aiming for EC wed
@Hat24 yeh I've done a bit of research it's always so conflicting, it's hard making reasons to why you aren't having even one drink I've been going through actual IVF treatment now for over a year

I totally agree about the wine by the way, I also think the guidelines are there to stop people going 'wild'. One won't hurt in the grand scheme of things!
Good luck for your appointment. I'm hoping for EC on Friday, sounding more likely than Monday if you're hoping for weds!

@Tiz90 I had hardly any symptoms on the stims, I actually felt pretty good and a bit like I do around ovulation- I felt like my skin looked better too 😂 wouldn’t mind being on them a bit longer! But they definitely were having an effect as I got more eggs out than I expected. So please try not to worry!

@nicky0 I had only 3 larger follicles even at the last scan, but they managed to get 8 eggs, which was good for me as I have low reserve. So I would hope your partner’s follicles will grow or you may get more eggs than the follicles are showing, fingers crossed for you.

I’m still in the dreaded 2ww, trying to keep hopeful but worried that my period may be on its way 😔 keeping everything crossed.

Hey ladies, had my second scan this morn. So I have just over 30 follicles now today(had 23 on Friday @nicky0 so don't worry can defo increase) some are ready and some aren't. She said she can't call what they are going to do as I'm at risk of OHSS so they might do egg collection thurs and a freeze all. Bit disappointed as was hoping to get the transfer done before going back to work in sep (work in a school)
She took my bloods anyway and booked a scan for Wednesday incase that's what they decide.
Happy with the amount of follicles, hopefully there is some good eggs in there!
Quite nauseas this morning aswell, had to stop and get a plastic bag in the shop just incase I had to pull over and get sick 😂🙈

Back from my scan, EC has been put back a day and one more day of stims, 1 large at 20mm the rest are only 14-15 mm so unfortunately not ready yet

@camelinastorm that sounds about right, would that put you at day 13 of your cycle? They're so close, that's really exciting!

@GLizzie88 I think I'm on CD 12, glad to hear they sound about right, was disheartened when the said inject stims for one more day and EC now Thursday not Wednesday, just felt a bit of a little fail, but if the 14mm ones need that extra time to catch up then that's fine
@Daniki wow yes that is a lot of folicles, does you clinic count them all? Mine only counts the ones over a certain size it's strange 🤞🏼 for no OHSS
