IVF / ICSI August

I’ve looked for a thread for August but couldn’t find one? (Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
We are starting a long protocol at the beginning of July ready for stims and EC in August. This is our first IVF, I’ve been infertile for 15 years due to complications during endo surgery so always knew IVF was my only option. I met my DH seven years ago and now we are ready to try our luck.

I suddenly feel quite anxious about the whole process although I’ve known it’s my only option for a long time, now I've finally actually looked into what's involved and people's experiences. I’ve had to loose 5st to get my bmi inside requirements which has been incredibly hard but I’m proud I got to this point.

I've got quite a complicated gynea history so preparing myself for a rocky ride, but I’m also thankful for my medical history because I’m already very used to those awful internal scans 🤣

I won't be having a FET but hoping I'll be on my 2nd cycle then. Still waiting for my follow up appointment confirmation. I've decided to try acupuncture in the meantime.

I'm booked in for transfer tomorrow at 1.30pm. I've never made it this far so lots of mixed emotions tonight.

Keep thinking I'm going to get a call tomorrow to say none have made it. Xx

so sorry to hear the negatives, sending big hugs to you guys! congratulations to the positives 🥳 so hopeful to see it working for some!
I just came on to catch up as had a break from fertility related stuff.
@camelinastorm and @GLizzie88 I may be on a future forum but not sure which month yet as still waiting for an appointment to discuss PGTA testing which we have to have before we can even start any more treatment. Decided on 3 back to back egg collections. At this rate, likely to start end of Oct or end of Nov, but as I’m doing 3 I may well see you lovely ladies on the Dec board depending how things go! It will be weird just doing stims and having no transfers after each round 😮 x

I just tested because, I'm an addict and I got a really faint line 😭 I'm only 4dp5dt so will have to try and keep my cool, won't mention anything to my husband yet will test for a few days to see does anything come out of it.

@Natasha90 wishing you all the best! Iv read lots of threads before where people have had "less than good" graded embryos transferred and it's worked out so hopefully will work for you 🙏

Hey @Natasha90 I defo see a line there. But word from the wise dump those tests and get a different brand. They were the ones I was using and caused me nothing but worry over the last few days as little progession, changed to the boots strips and early response and the difference is insane!

@Daniki do you have a link or photo of them please?

Attached them both below the strips aren't the sensitive ones they're 25miu but I wanted them to see was I getting lines on them and the sticks are the early response they're great!

Thank you, I just looked at the reviews for the ones I brought and believe i got a fake positive. I tested again and it was negative.

Not testing now until 10 dpt xx

@Natasha90 hopefully not, but defo recommend avoiding them anyway, those boots 5 days earlier are quite good and generally quite accurate!

just thought I’d update you all as to where we are at. Went for a scan at 6 weeks, was measuring 5 weeks with a yolk sac only. Went back at 7 weeks (expecting nothing), and there was a baby measuring 6weeks 5days with a heartbeat. NHS signed me off but going to go for a private scan in a week or so. The waiting it driving me mad

Hello everyone, I thought I'd post some good news on this old thread as it was always helpful to me to hear the positive outcomes. After ICSI, I'm now past my 20 week scan and things are going well. Hope there are some other good news stories from this group, and hope this can give fresh optimism to those still going through it x
