I’ve looked for a thread for August but couldn’t find one? (Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
We are starting a long protocol at the beginning of July ready for stims and EC in August. This is our first IVF, I’ve been infertile for 15 years due to complications during endo surgery so always knew IVF was my only option. I met my DH seven years ago and now we are ready to try our luck.

I suddenly feel quite anxious about the whole process although I’ve known it’s my only option for a long time, now I've finally actually looked into what's involved and people's experiences. I’ve had to loose 5st to get my bmi inside requirements which has been incredibly hard but I’m proud I got to this point.

I've got quite a complicated gynea history so preparing myself for a rocky ride, but I’m also thankful for my medical history because I’m already very used to those awful internal scans 🤣

Injections didn't go well I couldn't split the glass ampoule thing, mine are ones I have to mix has anyone else had these and got any tips on splitting them ?

@camelinastorm I'm sorry, that sounds stressful. I've not started injections myself yet so I'm no help but I hope things go smoother for you tomorrow!!

Same, I'm due to start mine on Tuesday. Mine said call the reception if you need any help at all, have you been advised this? @camelinastorm ?

@GLizzie88 the ampule things are just supposed to crack, I crushed 2 literally they shattered, managed to get one open so managed to inject , just seems stressful opening the liquid. My previous ones (also mix ) snapped really easy these seem harder, hopefully after a few days I'll get the hang

Sorry I have been very quiet on here!!
just had our last scan this morning. I am high risk of developing OHSS and this is my first cycle. Although so far so good. The ovaries feel uncomfortable today but first time really.

In our scan we had 12 follicles measuring over 17mm. Triggering tonight and now waiting to find out a time for Egg collection on Wednesday.

anyone else at this stage too?
how are you feeling?

@camelinastorm I hope today goes better and you got the hang of the mixing! I feel for you as I didn’t have to mix but had to watch the Ovaleap pen video like 10 times 😂 info just was not sticking in my head!
@Sineadttc wishing you all the luck for your egg collection! My egg collection was Friday, I would say to make sure to rest if you can afterwards. I’ve felt bit knackered since and with some tenderness in ovaries area. But overall it wasn’t too bad.

@Sineadttc oh that's great amount, I am a week behind you so no words of wisdom here, this is my 3rd cycle though all I would say is stay hydrated and rest. I was totally fine after egg collection but others have not been, I don't think it's predictable on how you will be. Good luck with your trigger (I found this stung the most )

@camelinastorm oh it does?? Yikes. I’m usually fine with needles but little apprehensive about this one.
I booked up until the transfer off work just let my body rest. So last day is tomorrow!
Have they changed your protocol much per cycle?
Part of me is preparing myself for a failed cycle. So I’m prepared for disappointment. As far as we know so far, the issue is with my OH. Hopefully we get embryos!!

@LimeBird wishing you all the luck in the world too. good to hear though that it wasn’t too bad. Really unsure of what to expect! Have you had your transfer yet?

@Sineadttc it's not a nasty pain just more of a sting compared to the stims I found.
Yes my last round the protocol was changed the first one should never have been so low, then they had the cheek to say the first round is more like trial and error we put you on very low to see how you react, I would be fine with this if it didn't have the 7k price tag 😂
My lasylt round we got 3 day 5 but unfortunately I had implantation issues, I was ill (not from IVF) the day after transfer so I think this impacted and my daughter also has a serious accident so stress occured, this round is same as before as I was happy with 3 day 5s, I've stocked up on beetroot juice for after as they say this helps implatation, also on blood thinners and progesterone injections this time, it's crazy all the extras they do after failed one, I'm like why can't we go all in straight away

Thank you @Sineadttc ☺️ I have my transfer provisionally booked for Weds, even nervous typing it in case I jinx it, as it just depends if any make it to Day 5 blastocyst I think. Still learning all the terminology too!

@camelinastorm I have heard that comment too about a ‘tester round’ for this first round, not the most helpful way to describe it is it when you’re putting your trust in them! I know they can’t guess how you’ll respond though despite best efforts. I’ve just ordered beetroot juice on Uber Eats, 😂 thanks for the tip as hadn’t heard that one!

Hi all. First evening of Meriofert tonight. First cycle was cancelled on the first scan, so fingers crossed for a better outcome second time round! Best of luck to everyone 😃

Thanks for all of your updates, I hope you're all feeling well. Just on my way to collect my prescription and have my first scan. Nervous doesn't even cover it.
Thanks for the advice on resting and taking it as a trial round, I've had that advice from a friend who went through it for your sanity.
It's very hard to think like that though sometimes.

Best of luck everyone who is starting this week! I'm due to start stims next week (depending on when my unpredictable period decides to show itself). I feel like time is dragging!!

Good luck @GLizzie88 @Zeeha and @Tiz90 as you start your rounds! Hope you feel ok, I have to say I felt fine (and oddly felt quite well?!) on Ovaleap so hopefully you’ll feel ok for first stage!

I have found things harder now I’ve gone onto the progesterone pessaries, mainly as I’ve just still got this bruised feeling internally since egg collection. Feels like a UTI type bladder ache, but no stinging sensation when peeing! Also I have to keep wearing pads 24/7 as those pessaries ruin your underwear 😳

I’ve potentially got my transfer tomorrow if any have made it to a suitable quality embryo 😬I have to say I’m feeling so anxious today in case we have bad news tomorrow and back to square one. But also trying to hold some space for hope!

@LimeBird ohh exciting yes the wait is awful my clinic dont tell you anything until transfer day, keep us updated, routing for you 🦾

@Tiz90 I felt the same when starting the injections but I’m sure you will be great at it once you get used to it! Just take your time in the lead up, I also put music on to relax me!

Hi ladies, how are we all doing? Thanks for sharing how you've been feeling on the medication. I've done my day 3 injection today of gonal-f, yesterday afternoon I was absolutely exhausted and had a big headache. I had to go to bed and just lie there!

I am the same with headaches, had such bad migraines since Monday! 😓 I'm starting my second med now this eve , cetrotide. Have a monitoring scan in the morning and one on Monday, egg retrieval will be next week!
Panicking about the time of injections eve, my poor friends mum committed suicide the other day so we are going to the wake this evening and I won't be at home at my usual timing, will have to do them both quite late tonight!

I also had Gonal F last time and for me the 2-3rd day of injections was the most tiring. After that I think my body got the memo and I was back to my usual energy. Hope it's similar for you.

@Glizzie88 sorry to hear it's given you headaches, I get the same from progesterone and have to keep going to lie down in the afternoon! Luckily I work flexibly so can catch up.

Anybody else in the 2WW? I guess as my transfer was 1st Aug I'm going to be the front runner!

Currently 7dp3dt and desperate to POAS but my partner is making me wait until tomorrow.

@Daniki I'm also on my second im on cetrodide but have done mine in the morning as evening just causes too many timing issues, are you on day 5 or 6 of stims

@Bruceytwo I don't know how you haven't tested already I'd be testing the day after transfer, I just can't help myself 😂

@camelinastorm I am on day 6 of Stims. How are you feeling? Iv such a heavy feeling down below like a mild cramp or something. The portal mentioned taking it in the evenings, it's prob going to be late when I get home tonight and take it!
