IVF / ICSI August

I’ve looked for a thread for August but couldn’t find one? (Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
We are starting a long protocol at the beginning of July ready for stims and EC in August. This is our first IVF, I’ve been infertile for 15 years due to complications during endo surgery so always knew IVF was my only option. I met my DH seven years ago and now we are ready to try our luck.

I suddenly feel quite anxious about the whole process although I’ve known it’s my only option for a long time, now I've finally actually looked into what's involved and people's experiences. I’ve had to loose 5st to get my bmi inside requirements which has been incredibly hard but I’m proud I got to this point.

I've got quite a complicated gynea history so preparing myself for a rocky ride, but I’m also thankful for my medical history because I’m already very used to those awful internal scans 🤣

@Zeeha oh great they seen a heartbeat that's a less worry, hopefully the bleeding will stop! 🤞🏻

Which sensitive ones would you suggest? I've been using the clear blue ultra early ones

Just on the way home now from my FET. Have a blood test the 25th but obv be testing away like a lunatic before that 😂

@Lil89 boots early response are great also used to bulk buy the one step ones, always go a pink dye anyway! I'd only use clear blue for a digital

@Daniki how was your transfer?

I was ok up until about 30 mins ago severe 💩 sorry TMI swollen and so much pain. Just in the bath

@Natasha90 relax all weekend! Bath good idea also hot water bottles and keep on the painkillers was quite sore for like 3 days. Transfer was grand nice and quick, just horrible cuz had to have full bladder and I was dying to go 🫣

Me too! They asked me if I was ok and I said I need to wee right now or I will explode 😂😂😂😂

@Lil89 aw it was awful, I'd say I sat on the toilet weeing for a solid 3 mins 😂

Just had the call from the embryologist.

11 collected 9 mature 7 fertilised.

Typing with tears in my eyes, this is my 4th round and I've never made it to transfer yet.

Is this it ? Is it going to be my turn. 😭

Booked in for transfer 12.30 Wednesday

I've just wiped and have black sludge (sorry I don't know what else to call it!) does this mean that I'm out 🤷🏻‍♀️😳 I have a call with the clinic tomorrow anyway but wondered if it's the start of my period 😭

Hi @Lil89 for cheap sensitive ones I buy easyathome off Amazon. Twenty tests should be about £10 or less. I've had brown sludge too so you may still be in! When is your official test date?

@Daniki best of luck with the TWW! I can sympathise on the full bladder. I had to release a bit before and then was still in so much pain they made me release everything. Felt like a hose going off 😂

Official testing day... still negative but no bleed (other than black sludge yesterday!) 😳 there is a little brown mark when I wipe but nothing else!

Clinic are calling me today for an update 🙏

Clinic called and said that I'm out of the race and my period will arrive soon, I'll need to wait for a consultant appointment for info about FET and another cycle

I'm ok to be honest, the constant testing helped me understand every morning that it wasn't working so less of a blow on final testing day! The clinic told me off for testing every day but they don't understand how nerve wrecking the TWW is 😳

Agreed, I didn't test until the official one, but after that I said I'm changing that next time. It's so much pressure on one test.

Just wondering if anyone on here is going for a FET after this failed round ?
I am going in December feels like ages away but it fits within my family, sorting childcare out, giving my body some recovery time from all the meds, I still feel bloated and have a pouch from the stims so hoping my the first week in December I will be fresh and good to go

Condolences to all the negatives, it's an awful rollercoaster it's been 18m now of IVF my body is feeling it and so is my bank balance

Yes I have one left in storage so will be going to FET, not sure when yet but I assume around December too 🙏

It's strange you see so many of the same names pop up,
We are aiming for transfer around the 10th
