I’ve looked for a thread for August but couldn’t find one? (Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
We are starting a long protocol at the beginning of July ready for stims and EC in August. This is our first IVF, I’ve been infertile for 15 years due to complications during endo surgery so always knew IVF was my only option. I met my DH seven years ago and now we are ready to try our luck.

I suddenly feel quite anxious about the whole process although I’ve known it’s my only option for a long time, now I've finally actually looked into what's involved and people's experiences. I’ve had to loose 5st to get my bmi inside requirements which has been incredibly hard but I’m proud I got to this point.

I've got quite a complicated gynea history so preparing myself for a rocky ride, but I’m also thankful for my medical history because I’m already very used to those awful internal scans 🤣

How is everyone doing? Where are you all up to? We're in the 2 week wait now. Booked a nice weekend away to recover and relax.

I am 8dp5dt and I really don’t think I see a line. Period hasn’t come on yet, but I feel it brewing. I have little faith it’ll turn for the better. I wanna punch something. Official test day is still a week away.

I'm still on stims, plan is to have EC next Wednesday xx

@Natasha90 idk, angry? I'm just fed up. Fed up that I have to go through a whole ass egg collection every time to get one stinking embryo, take all these damned shots, for it to not even have the decency to implant 😤I know this is irrational anger, but bleh I don't care.

@BakinABaby I'm sorry, still time for shifts but go punch a pillow if you need to. There should be a soft play for us IVF ladies to go and take our anger out. I don't think your anger is irrational at all!

@Natasha90 best of luck with your EC and hope stims are going ok. My clinic do a blood test 2 weeks after EC so that's next Thurs for me.

Only one day after ET but I'm feeling good and already want to test 😂

Can someone advise on when to test? Clinic doesn't do blood tests and advised to test on Sunday 15th which feels like so long away!! When should I test or not test 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞

@BakinABaby it's awful this process, I hate it you would think with all the technology and costs it would be guaranteed, my hubby is like I don't get it they literally stick it in the right place how isn't it 100%

It's so awful isn't it @camelinastorm .@BakinABaby how many cycles have you done? I only got one suitable embryo too, I'm worried it'll be the same next time. I can't believe your test date isn't for another week, I came on my period at 10dp5dt!

@GLizzie88 Eh, I don't wanna be too much of a downer in this thread, with many still waiting for results. But I've done 2 collections, 1 embryo each. The second one went even worse than the first. I seem to fall on the side of statistics where noone hopes to be when it comes to IVF, I hope you get a better turnout from your second cycle. When are you starting?

@BakinABaby it's a brutal journey I've had 3 cycles and never even had a transfer yet 😢

Clinic called to say that our last remaining embryo has grown loads in the last 24 hours!! From 2CC to 4BC 🤞 so they have recommended freezing it!

@Lil89 if you had a trigger injection recently you could do a cheapy test now to make sure any hcg is out your system if you want to avoid a false positive. Then if that's negative, wait a bit longer to give the little one a chance to implant and start the hcg being produced. I saw the very faintest of lines on a sensitive cheap test (10mIU/ml) and frer at 7dp5dt. I've tested every day since for a week for reassurance the line is getting darker (as I had spotting which sent my anxiety through the roof, the darker lines means hcg is increasing which is a positive sign). I've just today chilled out a bit and not tested. I'm planning to test every few days now until the seven week scan because I'm still not confident enough to go without any tests (15dp today)!!

Still waiting. Hope to go for a 6 week scan where I imagine I’ll be given meds to get rid of it. My body has a missed miscarriage I imagine

We're waiting on hospital appointments but it looks like we'll miss 3 cycles before we start again.

Did a test this morning and the test was much darker than previously … really worried it’s an ectopic and have slow rising….

@Trying4eva1 will your local early pregnancy unit not see you today if you ring and explain your concern? I'd be adamant I want checking straight away!

I agree with @Zeeha if there is a worry of an ectopic I would be trying to get an app too! 😩

They won’t see me till 6 weeks which is Weds. plus if I say it’s because its due test lines (rather than anything clinical) I think they’d just tell me to do one!

@Trying4eva1 is that this wed? At least that's not too long away, how do u feel? Any pain or anything?

Just a small update, no egg collection for me Wednesday they want to give me an extra 2 days of stims.

So back Wednesday for a scan and then hopefully collection Friday.

@Lil89 one is 18mn and a couple of 16s but all the others are under the 14mm.

I really hope they change I'm drinking 4 litres of water a day I can't drink any more 🤣

Can I have some advice please... I am 5dp5dt from my first fresh transfer with no symptoms, haven't had any spotting to indicate success and all cheap pregnancy tests show negative (trigger shot is out of my system) 🙏

Is there anything else I can do to make this a success?
