@hopefullsosbry good luck today. It’s really hard waiting for these scans and counting follicles. Tbh, one thing I’ve learnt from all the cycles of IuI and IVF is it helps me to be ready with the plan for what next if it fails, so that’s sensible to start thinking about next steps incase this one doesn’t work. But having said that, there’s every hope in the world that you’ll get some good eggs. And as we know from this thread, it’s not all about numbers. Rooting for your follicles!! Let us know how scan goes.

@EggsFrozenNow I felt like each scan was something different, hopefully they can adjust the meds to get the best result for you!

AnnieStar12 · 24/05/2024 09:35

This is the test, it’s far too early to be an actual
positive as I’m only 2dp5dt. But I am 9 days post trigger so am surprised it’s as clear as it is.

@hopefullsosbry Oh bless you, we definitely all have bad days. I imagine it’s harder when you’ve already been through so much. Did you have any tests after your last round to see why they didn’t stick out of curiosity? Or was it just bad luck? Fingers crossed you have some more growing now! ☺️

@Seasidegirll Sorry you’re feeling poorly still! Definitely give them a call to see if you can get seen. I know that OHSS symptoms get worse if you are pregnant but you will have only just implanted so I think it’s too soon for that yet. Hope you can get seen today!

Also it was my second pee of the day as I forgot on the FMU

HopefulllHolly · 24/05/2024 09:37

@AnnieStar12 I think it can take 11 days for the trigger to leave your system. Maybe just keep testing every couple of days and see if it gets darker and then you’ll know. 😊 Fingers crossed it turns in to one!!

I forget @AnnieStar12 was it a hatching blast?

@AnnieStar12 thanks for the reminder! I haven't yet tested to see if the trigger has left (will do it tomorrow now - which would be 4 days post transfer though)

@Seasidegirll hope you can get a scan, I have also felt some cramps today - I'm also 3 days post transfer.

AnnieStar12 · 24/05/2024 09:42

I don’t think it was quite hatching no.

I am sure the trigger shot has a half life every two days .. so if you knew the dose you can work out by halfing the does every two days to see when would be out your system .. but I can defo see a faint line .. praying it’s your postive 🤞🏽✨🙏

EggsFrozenNow · 24/05/2024 09:45

@HopefulllHolly I think the biggest one is like 12mm while the others are like 6 or less... I'm like you food wise! Never ate breakfast normally but having 3 meals a day now, also I do feel a lot of craving with the meds. In my previous cycle I wasn't careful and ate a lot of comfort food, put on maybe 10 pounds and only some of that was bloating, if you are concerned about weight gain then make sure to only eat the healthy stuff and not give it too much to the cravings if you are feeling any

@AnnieStar12 Yes hope so thank you!

AnnieStar12 · 24/05/2024 09:47

@positivepetal i kind of wish I didn’t test now! I waited this long specifically because I did not want to see a second line as I knew I’d find it mentally/emotionally challenging to see one.
So I thought I was being sensible waiting until 9 days after trigger to just make sure trigger was totally gone as I was (wrongly)confident it would be totally negative, and then I would know with confidence that any line showing up in a few days was a BFP.

Seasidegirll · 24/05/2024 09:49

Just realised I wrote im 3 days post transfer, I’m 3 days post COLLECTION 🙈 Just spoke to my clinic and they are going to scan me, they said it sounds like I could be experiencing mild OHSS but the scan will be able to tell us

hopefullsosbry · 24/05/2024 09:50

@AnnieStar12@HopefulllHolly thanks for the postive words .. yeh we had all the test after 4 loses with the reacurrant miscarriage clinic and nothing was flagged up .. only thing is my partner has DNAfrag which can cause reacurrant miscarriage and my eggs will be old (we had biopsy of one miscarage which was triple x so was my egg that was’duff’ .. I feel it’s slim pickings from us both I really feel it’s abnormal chromosomes .. we are both older I’m 41 and he’s 43 .. we met later in life so that’s why we trying so late ., if we met each other in our 20’s could have been different who knows ?!

Hi everyone I've been really quite on the thread I've just been too nervous! All this ivf makes me so anxious! It's so lovely seen people have successful EC and getting BFP! @AnnieStar12 I do hope that line gets darker everyday for you ✨️ and best of luck to everyone in there tww I hope your not biting your nails down to noting 😂

I had my EC yesterday and got my results this morning I have 2 fertilized eggs I'm so happy and relieved to get this far, fingers crossed I'll get to transfer one!

My notes say Ovitrelle 250 so when would I expect that out of my system if I took it on 15th May at 10.30pm?

Good luck for the scan. Hope you're not too uncomfortable. I've literally just had mine after Wednesday's egg collection and my ovaries are "kissing" they're so enlarged 😂. Waiting to hear what they say but I'm voting for freeze all now.

Seasidegirll · 24/05/2024 10:01

@Hollielouise Any signs of OHSS or just very large overies? I’d be so gutted if we have to do a freeze all but I know it would be for the best!

HopefulllHolly · 24/05/2024 10:13

@hopefullsosbry God I can’t tell you how many times me and my partner have said we wished we met each other sooner because of our TTC journey. It’s so frustrating when you meet the right person and the timing is a bit off. I have every faith we’ll both get our babies though.

@Cloclo93 Yay for your two little eggs! I hope you’re coping ok mentally! keeping my fingers crossed you’ll have a lovely one to transfer in a few days. ☺️

@AnnieStar12 It’s definitely harder testing early. Plus when you find out it’s a BFP it means you have longer to worry. Try not to think about it if you can and do another test in a couple of days.

@EggsFrozenNow Ah thank you! I eat very healthily anyway so it’s nothing to do with what I’m eating. Just from progesterone and pregnancy but it’s very uncomfy! 😅 I think your eggs sound like good sizes for where you are! ☺️

Thanks for everyone’s messages. Nothing yet from the clinic, they usually contact after lunch as they’re all in clinics in the morning. My ovaries are slightly polycystic so my period is never exactly 14 days after ovulation, it can be anything from 14 - 18 days after. I think I might get a digital test on the way home from work to test again to get a definite answer. I’m ok with it being negative - I can go on holiday as planned in the autumn, I can save a bit more money for maternity leave (if/when it happens), I can pay off my car loan, lose some more weight to get into the healthy BMI bracket etc etc. it’s more annoying not knowing to be honest!

Hollielouise · 24/05/2024 10:26

@Seasidegirll There was a tiny amount of free fluid and I feel a bit tender and bloated on one side but to be expected with so many follicles now filled with fluid, so they don't seem concerned. I'm so torn whether to go for it or freeze, as I feel ok - just can feel my huge ovaries! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ Are you feeling ok?

Hollielouise · 24/05/2024 10:34

Just to update we are now on a freeze all as they're just to much risk and they've given me Cabergoline for OHSS - anyone with experience of it let me know! Devastated not to be transferring on Monday but best to be safe x

Gnatalie16 · 24/05/2024 10:36

@Hollielouise I had exactly the same had my EC last Friday and transfer should have been Wednesday but have frozen all 11 embryos. Won't have my transfer now till July as they want me to have another period before doing transfer. Cabergoline isn't bad, I take it at night and don't have any side effects finished my last one last night. Did you have to do a week of ganirelix too?

Seasidegirll · 24/05/2024 10:40

@Hollielouise sorry to hear it’s going to be a freeze all but it’s 100% the best decision for you ❤️ I’ve been taking Cabergoline in the evenings since my EC and I’ve been ok so far.

AnnieStar12 · 24/05/2024 11:00

@Hollielouise ah I’m sorry!
I imagine I feels like a bit of a double edge sword having a high number of eggs as it means delays. But in the long run it’s definitely the best thing and your body will be in the best condition to grow your little embryos once it’s recovered from the EC.
