@hopefullsosbry Great numbers! Yay! Hmmm the progesterone is tricky - I guess it’s up to you! Different ways of absorbing it, maybe you could start a thread asking people who have done with and without? I know lubion is meant to be a bit of a painful injection, not that that should make a difference to your decision 😂

Thanks, yeh i was thinking asking on a thread, but I guess everyone’s body is different etc.. I think I am having a bit of a meltdown today as I feel I just don’t want one to come away again - if I get that far.. and although I should be happy as we got 5 fertilised .. I actually feel a bit unsettled I can’t put my finger on it, I think the fear of having more losses is really getting to me, It could be the hormone change today after EC but I just feel weird today ! 🫨

@hopefullsosbry Bless you. I guess you kind of let yourself feel all the feels in this process, it’s your brains way of self preservation having you kind of mentally go to those dark places. But that doesn’t mean it will happen! Take each day as it comes. Only you can really decide which drugs to take, if you’ve tried just cyclogest before maybe it might help you mentally to try the Lubion? I can’t imagine the dose is much bigger than doing 2 cyclogest anyway. Annoying they won’t just tell you what to do to be honest, we have enough to think about!

@hopefullsosbry That is not very helpful. Maybe request a progesterone blood test from them? I’m sure they do them, albeit just not routinely. Everyone is different, I didn’t mean to cause you any anxiety or anything else so sorry if my story did exactly that! @HopefulllHolly I did fine the lubion injections painful. Not sure why in comparison to the others. It stung and felt bruised for hours after each time.

thanks, I have never been prescribed any progesterone in the past for any transfers do this is my 1st time taking progesterone, I have looked at other threads and I have checked my doses, the lubion injection is 25mg and the suppository is a gel Crinone 8% of 1.125g .. so these actually do seem pretty low doses ??what has everyone relise been on dose wise ??
yeh there is so much to worry about, I think the hormones make me worry more but I will try just trust in the process and switch off for bit .. what will be will be … thanks for the support on here, 💖

@hopefullsosbry They are low! I’m on cyclogest 400mg pessaries twice a day (morning and night). I just assumed they were standard, my progesterone levels are fine (if anything I think they are high as I’ve suffered from night sweats a lot in my older years in my luteal phase, which would indict higher levels). I wasn’t ever tested, it’s just my clinics standard protocol to put everyone on them. If you haven’t had it before it might help as it makes your lining thick and sticky so hopefully prevents miscarriage a little? (Obviously not a scientist so don’t take my words for gospel though 🤣🤣)

@hopefullsosbry They are low and seem reasonable. I was on 25 lubion alternate dates and 400 cyclogest 3 x a day. That’s a super amount no? I’ll request the level and post here in case anyone finds it useful down the line ☺️

@HopefulllHolly thanks for the reassurance … I think I will just take the injections aswell as the vaginal gel then.. do you stay on the progesterone until 12 weeks of pregnancy ? how are you feeling today? Have you started getting morning sickness or anything ? Hope you are ok🥰

Thanks, is the cyclogest a gel or tablet you insert? Yeh it does seem alot but from other forums av been reading I think that’s what most seem to be on ?
Yeh if this is low I will continue with both injections and gel then.. thanks so much , i just freaked out there thinking I was too high 🙈😵‍💫

@hopefullsosbry Hey, it’s the pessaries. I stopped the injections at my doctors request and have been doing the pessaries. Sorry to frighten you, it wasn’t my intention. It sounds your clinic has everything in hand and I wouldn’t worry much more about it. ☺️

@hopefullsosbry sorry your clinic wasn’t very helpful. Surprised you never been put on progesterone with your other cycles- was that a different clinic? I think stick to what they’ve given you if that’s their standard protocol. My clinic does twice a day cyclogest as their standard protocol. I just think some doctors have personal preferences for certain drugs and doses.

@hopefullsosbry I totally get what you mean about feeling a bit on edge after EC, this was me all weekend after having my EC on Friday, I don't know what happened but this waft of heightened uncertainty and fear hit me. You have great news though and having 5 fertilised eggs is brilliant, sending a lot of positivity for those eggs to keep growing and fingers crossed for your day 3 update being a positive one!! I hope you're also feeling a bit better in terms of the pain x

@hopefullsosbry I reckon yeah just do the stuff they’ve prescribed you ☺️ I’m not sure how long I stay on them - definitely until 8 weeks pregnant, I imagine they’ll let me know at my scan next week.
I’m all good thanks my lovely 🥰 I have a bit of morning sickness yeah not been physically sick yet though, just lots of sickly burping and nausea (especially when hungry which is apparently all the time). Other than that I am just exhausted, my boobs are quite full and sore but the progesterone causes that too and extremely bloated. But beyond those things I feel totally fine so far. I’m quite anxious in case somethings wrong because I feel ok and all my symptoms could be down to the progesterone anyway! 🙃 Always something to worry about! But I’m nearly 6 weeks and my scan is only 9 days away now, so I’m counting down the days. 🤞🤞

So got the update today the embryo hasn’t progressed any more and had started to deteriorate so it’s not suitable for freezing. Just so heart broken right now.

thanks everyone for the support today. I have slept for a couple hours there and feel a bit better mentally now. Pain in tummy still there but I do feel it’s slightly better, defo wasn’t this sore the last EC ! 🥺

I wonder if it is just a hormone change also with the sedatives, are you feeling ok now ? .. can’t be good for mental health all these changes to our conscience and hormonal balance that ivf puts us through ! 🤨
