@hopefullsosbry Has your clinic discussed blood thinners or aspirin for recurrent loss?

Our 13th embryo was discarded today as only a 4DD so now 12 in the freezer waiting for FET ... though obviously analysing the grades of them and whether they will thaw successfully. Never ending 🫠

@Hollielouise I think grades are more for embryologists, I wouldn’t get too stuck on them. My friend did 4 cycles of IVF, 6 transfers, all miscarriages and BFNs and her last egg which was the poorest quality ended up being her son. Plus you have tonnes of embryos so the chances you’ll have one that works is quite high ☺️

@hopefullsosbry I am feeling a bit better today I think it's coz I went back to work and had loads to catch up on so didn't really get much time to think about things. Just have the dreaded day 5 call from the embryologist tomorrow and really hoping it goes well.
Going to be a very restless and sleepless night tonight!

I just had my third scan, dr said realistically they would get 5 eggs, and they are reducing my dosage again as one follicle is getting much larger than the rest... 1 x 18mm, 3 x 10-12mm, 2 x 7-8mm, 1 x 5mm

5 eggs is a good number! Did they say when would be your EC? I am on day 12 of stims, 5th scan tomorrow, very very slow growth this time for me 😣

@Ginie2024 Good luck at your scan, hopefully you’re ready to trigger! I did 13 days of stims, they were very slow too. Hopefully it just means they are gobbling up the hormones ☺️

I don't know yet, will have another scan on Thursday and might know then - i am day 8 right now, slowish growth for me as well, Dr said each follicle seems to be growing at its own pace 😣for my failed cycle in Jan, they got 7 eggs out (4 mature), so I was hoping to at least hit similar numbers, but oh well... they are also growing lower than last time

Are you on a short protocol? I was under the impression that 12 days would be the maximum days of injections.

@HopefulllHolly Thank you my dear! I know I should be grateful for whatever I can get, just a bit disappointed to see that my numbers have gone down again after a few months, and I can see that this time they are growing much lower, for my previous cycle around day 7 i had 3 large ones over 17mm + 3 more around 10-12... now that Dr has reduced my dosage again I'm slightly worried if the others will manage to grow in time, but i guess Dr would know best...

How are you feeling these days?

@EggsFrozenNow You didn’t ask me but I stimmed for 13 days, trigger on the 14th. I know of some others as well who have stimmed for longer, it’s all individual I’m afraid.

Yeah it's so variable even for the same woman/body but a month later: short protocol, I did my first cycle last month, triggered on day 13 with 3 eggs retrieved (biggest was at 23mm then 17 and 11) and one little soldier made it all the way to PGTA normal ❤️
This month, there are 4 or potentially 5 in total but they really aren't growing much, between 10 to 15mm only on day 12 and it scares me so much...@HopefulllHolly thanks, I will try to picture them gobbling up the hormones in there!

3 days past transfer here, is it ridiculous to be symptom spotting here? Intense cravings for steak and kale (presumably iron) and then a ton of oranges (vit c?) - is that all to do with progesterone like everything else seems to be or could it be a sign..?

@Ginie2024 Oh wow, such variations! May I ask why you are doing one month right after another, are you batching/banking embryos (not sure if thats what it's called) for some reason?

Me I'm just freezing eggs this cycle, as my husband has high DNA fragmentation and need to do embolization to try to improve that, so we decided to do egg freezing first then do ICSI with thawed + fresh eggs in 3/4 months

@EggsFrozenNow of course, am batching indeed because AMH 1.8, 40 yrs old with 4 miscarriages (low egg quality) and no live birth, Dr recommended to secure all possible eggs asap as they won't get any better but he did warn that some women will do very well with back-to-back cycle, some won't at all - it was a gamble so I'll see...one thing I know, I cannot go through another miscarriage

If you have the time (age wise), that's great, your plan sounds good tbh!

Similar thinking for my egg batching now actually, I'm 35 but my amh and follicle count halved over the past 12 months, so we wanted to get eggs out of me as soon as possible and didn't want to wait another 3+ months for my husband male factor to improve, Dr said I would need multiple cycles anyway, plus my acupuncturist also thinks high DNA fragmentation significantly increases the likelihood of miscarriage ...

@Hollielouise sorry just noticed this .. I had a test for ‘sticky blood’ back at the start of last year by the reacurrant miscarriage clinic and they do a standard of two tests .. the 1st came back postive and at that point I was told to use low dose aspirin for ttc, but the 2nd test (6weeks later) came back negative .. so then I was told I didn’t need them anymore ?! I was a bit confused by this but she said it can come and go and that’s why we do a 2nd test to determine the outcome .. I asked for a repeat test (I was thinking if it can come and go maybes it could come back) but she said they don’t test again .. that’s why they do the 2nd test ? So I have been advised not to take asprin ? Although I did think should I sneakily take some leading up to transfer .. but I have read if you don’t need them you should take them, it can hinder blood flow to the uterus at implantation time as thins the blood so i don’t want too 😵‍💫 I’ll go with what they say .. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ahh they still haven't called yet. The nurse called to see how I was doing since my fever and pain, and she said they usually call after lunch for day 5 updates as they spend the morning doing the fertilisation update from the EC the day before.

Feeling quite nervous - hopefully they call me soon with some good news x

I still haven't heard from my clinic. I've called them, left a VM and spoken to the receptionist who said they would call before the end of day.
It's getting closer to 5 and still no news.

I'm starting to get really nervous and anxious. This is horrible 😭

@EvaA17 I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about and just an admin error. Really bad of them though as they’ll know how stressed people get waiting. I hope they ring you soon!

Hi all :) I’ve been reading all these posts and so I feel compelled to post. I have been hoping everything goes OK for you all. ❤️ It’s a stressful time.

@EvaA17 I remember waiting for the embryologist to call in April on day 5 - it’s the worst wait and I think they phoned me just before 5.

I had ICSI and had my EC in April. (11 collected, 10 mature, 10 fertilised, 8 blastocysts and all frozen) Had to have a freeze all due to fluid on my uterus which was caused by ivf medication. Having my FET the end of June. 🤞

@EvaA17 Sorry they left you waiting, that feels unkind as they must realise how anxious we are to get these calls. I hope you’ve chased them down!

@positivepetal how you holding up cycle buddy? You still managing to stay away from the tests?!

I’ve had a previous round of ICSI where I got 2 eggs collected and ended up with 2 blastocysts but one failed to implant and the other ended in a chemical.

@AnnieStar12 I still haven't tested, I think I will cave by the weekend. I've come to stay at mums for a few days and I've purposely left the tests at home 😂 I still have no symptoms nor feel any different, just not been sleeping well!
