FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

@lemonyfox interesting! If this one fails there’s a lot I’d want to ask about dosages and meds.

thanks for sharing @hja62 ❤️ weirdly I find the pregnancy announcements harder than seeing the babies themselves! Maybe because pregnancy always feels so close and achievable but the actual baby part feel so far away to actually be comparable. Congrats on your scan, must have been amazing to see!

good luck for tomorrow @amkw 🤞🏻 I really doubt stress and worry in the 2WW would have any impact. You’re defs not alone in feeling that way!

I had a tiny bit of the same spotting this morning and nothing since. Which is good except is also how my period starts 😩 so I’ve also been THAT person and called my clinic, caused a fuss, and after much back and forth managed to get lubion prescribed to collect tomorrow. I probably don’t need it, and if I do it might be too late, but I’ll start it tomorrow anyway.

Had some unusual pains too and such a sore head yesterday. How do I stop myself caving and testing tomorrow at 4dp5dt…

amkw · 12/07/2024 21:33

Thanks ❤️ @Always28 @lemonyfox @Sierra26 Praying for a good outcome tomorrow.

@Sierra26 I’m glad they’re putting you on lubion, you may not even need it but if it makes you feel better and more reassured that’s good enough! X

Thansk @amkw @Always28 @Sierra26 💕

@amkw good luck for tomorrow 🍀 let us know how you get on? Stress also definitely doesn’t affect the outcome, I promise you, otherwise I wouldn't be pregnant or still pregnant 🙈 I've been a ball of anxiety this whole FET process.

@Sierra26 don’t beat yourself up over being THAT person. You are doing what feels right for you, you know your body best. And if you don’t need it so what, as long as it has given you some reassurance 🤞🏻.

Not pregnant. Heartbroken. This is my third transfer in total but first from this cycle. 4AA too so an excellent embryo. Not sure what’s happened.

Going to demand every blood test under the sun and also have a hycosy etc. Everything is fine with me apparently but it can’t be.

I need to sort my mental health out too. Nightmare.

Everyone, thanks for your support it has meant so much and for those who are pregnant I hope you have the best pregnancy ever and please enjoy every moment. For those awaiting transfers I wish you nothing but good luck ❤️

@amkw 💔 💔 I'm so so sorry to hear this. It's such a tough process.
Sending you lots of love and strength. Hope you can get some answers. Take care of yourself 🧡

lemonyfox · 13/07/2024 11:32

Oh @amkw I'm so so sorry. I've been thinking about you all morning. Sending love x

hja62 · 13/07/2024 13:03

@amkw I'm so sorry to hear that 💔 there is no sense to this process at all. Xx

Sierra26 · 13/07/2024 15:37

Oh @amkw im so sorry. It’s all so unfair. I hope you’re able to just chill and go easy on yourself this weekend. Xxx.

Sierra26 · 13/07/2024 15:38

I caved (well doesn’t count as caving if I always knew I would) and tested at 4dp5dt, negative but I keep going back and convincing myself I see something. Telling myself it’s still early…

lemonyfox · 13/07/2024 16:16

@Sierra26 fingers crossed it turns into a positive!

hja62 · 13/07/2024 18:08

@Sierra26 definitely still very early! With DD I got a BFN 4dp5dt and BFP 5dp5dt 🤞🏻

Always28 · 14/07/2024 10:45

@amkw I’m so sorry. It’s so heartbreaking. You put yourself through so much, and all that waiting and it’s just so horrible when it’s negative after all that.

After my failed transfer, I had ERA testing, and they gave me an extra day of progesterone this time, but at a lower dose, as a result. I have also been on prednisolone this time. I don’t know if those are the things that made the difference but they could be things for you to ask about.

That’s super early, and loads and loads of people test negative at that point then positive later. So still feel super hopeful.

@Always28 Ahhh, I’m actually currently looking into ERA online and I’m going to mention it to my consultant. It is defintely worth a shot. Do the results come back quite quickly? It’s about £1k isn’t it? I just don’t want to put this next one in if there’s something wrong that’s easily fixed! How many transfers have you had? X

I think mine was about £1500 plus medications - but I’m sure it varies from clinic to clinic. So it’s not cheap - but none of this is!! I’ve only had the two transfers. They said they don’t usually do ERA testing until more failed transfers, but because we had these euploid embryos, they offered to do the testing after one transfer to try not to waste any.

The results came back quite quickly. It felt at least positive to be looking into what else could be going on and trying to adjust something rather than just doing the same thing and hoping for a different result. It’s definitely worth at least discussing with your clinic. Do you have a follow up with them booked in?

Thank you for the advice and I agree. We haven’t had our embryos tested so it could be that this one just wasn’t viable even though high grade. Don’t want to take any chances though for the next if it is something within me that’s causing the failures. They will phone today at some point asking the outcome and then they will book me in. It’s only the first from this cycle but third in total, still highly disappointing though.

Natty2 · 15/07/2024 13:34

@Sierra26 don't loose faith! Still early days. Hope the line shows for you soon 🤞

Sierra26 · 18/07/2024 22:27

Thanks @Natty2 and @hja62 . Still negative today at 9dp so counting myself out. Gutted but we’re on holiday so trying to enjoy ourselves, and will let the sadness creep in once we’re home… At least I can have some wine in the sun now.

Wishing all of you who got positives lovely healthy pregnancies!

Those still trying I may see you on a future FET thread once I’ve got my next steps sorted.

lemonyfox · 19/07/2024 08:22

@Sierra26 I'm rooting for you, keeping everything crossed for you next month/next cycle x

Natty2 · 19/07/2024 14:25

@Sierra26 I'm sorry to hear your update 💔 look after yourself and hope you can make the most of being away. Wishing you lots of luck for your next steps
