Hi, couldn't see a thread for June yet so thought I would start one.

I'm on long protocol so actually starting down regulation on 28th May, egg collection not scheduled in until 8th July.

I am on NHS and this will be my first round. Was referred less than a year ago now and have managed to loose 2 and a half stone to get my BMI down.

Anyone else due to start around June?

@CakePigeon30 I’m so sorry hun! That must be so disappointing and I’m so sorry this happened. But please don’t lose hope. Sending virtual hugs and hope you’re doing alright l. Last scan you were expecting more, did they say what happened?

CakePigeon30 · 10/07/2024 11:49

@SamVan mine didn't go well, Only got two eggs

@CakePigeon30 welcome back! Sorry you’re disappointed. But the lower the number generally the quality is good so those 2 might be all you need! Did they give you any info in the clinic / what did embryology say? Don’t be too hard on yourself. Will they call tomorrow with fertilisation? Are they going to do ivf or icsi with them? Hope you’re not too sore and enjoyed the sleep. X

FlutteryButtery2 · 10/07/2024 15:49

@GCS34 thank you! The listing I looked at only had the front and back cover 😂
How did you get on?

@CakePigeon30 I’m sorry it didn’t go to plan, everything crossed for you

@FlutteryButtery2 im an Amazon pro 😂 I think probably spend 60% of my monthly salary on crap from there. Hopefully it helped anyway.

really good - all went well thank you hun - I was apparently talking about aperol spritz as I went to sleep 😂🍹

FlutteryButtery2 · 10/07/2024 16:23

@GCS34 😂 my basket is currently £170 😬 easily done! My OH regularly accidentally buys his basket so we have some interesting bits 😂😂

CakePigeon30 · 10/07/2024 16:32

@GCS34 @SamVan @Mumiialfie26 egg collection was ok quite a calm experience however I didn't really sleep at all. Ve slept for hours since I've been home though!

Yes having ICSI. The clinic were surprised at the low numbers, they just said the didn't knows why it happened

@GCS34 did you get many eggs?

SlinkMcSlink · 10/07/2024 16:54

@CakePigeon30 Fingers crossed that both of those eggs are of good quality. Xx

@FlutteryButtery2 hahaha what random things you got? I buy so much crap. Put it this way, I’m excited for prime day ok the 16th 😂😂 need to get a grip of my life if that excites me.

@CakePigeon30 did you feel anything then or not? What did you do just chill there? I was out for the count. I was under for 45 mins tho. So probs gave me more cuz I had a few follicles to go at.

least you’re having icsi - that will defo help fertilise them both! Are they calling tomorrow?

FlutteryButtery2 · 10/07/2024 17:51

@GCS34 so so many things 😂 think my favourite one was a bagatelle board

I love prime day!

SamVan · 10/07/2024 17:53

@CakePigeon30 I hope you can get some clarity from the clinic, and these two might be all you need anyway. Thinking of you x

@FlutteryButtery2 😂😂😂 brilliant. And have you ever played it? Begs the question why it was in his basket in the first place 😂
my biggest random accidental was one of those pull down weighing things that you attach to your suitcase and lift up to see how much it weighs. It’s proven quite useful however!

FlutteryButtery2 · 10/07/2024 19:12

@GCS34 - what do you think? 😂 I think he was looking at it because his mum wanted one, but ended up getting her one elsewhere but forgot to take it out his basket 🤦🏻‍♀️

@FlutteryButtery2 😂😂 regift it to a friend for Christmas. Sure they’ll be thrilled 👀🫣

SlinkMcSlink · 11/07/2024 13:12

How’s everyone? I’ve got my follow up appointment come through for the 12th August to plan in when they’re doing transfer.

FlutteryButtery2 · 11/07/2024 13:47

That’s good @SlinkMcSlink howre you feeling?

@CakePigeon30 howre you today?

SamVan · 11/07/2024 15:31

@SlinkMcSlink are you doing a medicated or natural transfer? I’ve been given a choice and am so torn.

SlinkMcSlink · 11/07/2024 16:25

@FlutteryButtery2 since my period came everything feels so much better. It was like a relief!

@SamVan They haven’t told me yet. I’m guessing medicated just so they can control dates for appointments. Do you know how it works? What day of the cycle do they do a frozen transfer?

SamVan · 11/07/2024 16:28

@SlinkMcSlink Usually around day 19-21 I understand but theres more of a window with medicated. I'm not sure which to do because I ovulate naturally and a natural cycle means you don't need to continue with meds until week 8-12 (depending on your clinic protocol) whereas with the medicated you need hormone supplementation throughout. But with a natural timing is more difficult so theres a bigger risk of missing a cycle (that said the risk is still there with medicated that you don't respond properly).

CakePigeon30 · 11/07/2024 16:45

@FlutteryButtery2 feel fine, actually been at work lol.

Found out both eggs fertilised so that's good news. Transfer on Monday l.

SlinkMcSlink · 11/07/2024 16:51

@SamVan 8-12 weeks of medication? 😱😱😱😱

SlinkMcSlink · 11/07/2024 16:51

@CakePigeon30 Thats great news! Good luck on Monday!

SamVan · 11/07/2024 16:53

@SlinkMcSlink Yes the medicated fet shuts down your natural hormones so you need estrogen and progesterone supplementation. On the NHS its just tablets for estrogen and pessaries for progesterone but I know a lot of private ones also use progesterone injections as there is some evidence not everyone absorbes enough from the pessaries.

SamVan · 11/07/2024 16:53

@CakePigeon30 That's excellent news!!! I hope the transfer goes well for you Xx
