Hi, couldn't see a thread for June yet so thought I would start one.

I'm on long protocol so actually starting down regulation on 28th May, egg collection not scheduled in until 8th July.

I am on NHS and this will be my first round. Was referred less than a year ago now and have managed to loose 2 and a half stone to get my BMI down.

Anyone else due to start around June?

Hi @ClaireBear101 that's great that all 5 fertilised, have you had any more updates on them or do you just find out at transfer? Good luck for it. How are you feeling?

Thanks @CakePigeon30 . I'm feeling good, exhausted but good. I had the egg retrieval on Tuesday and Friday the update was 3 eggs doing very well and 2 a bit slower so I will know more in the morning.
Being first time for IVF I'm super nervous so came here to see others going throught it. IUI broke my heart so I'm really praying for good news this time round as feels like a 3rd try.
I also want to hear other people's good news stories regardless of how it goes for me. 😀

Onthedouble123 · 15/06/2024 18:13

@ClaireBear101 good luck! Fingers crossed they're all doing their thing perfectly in the morning!
Im a total newbie. Literally started my first day of norethisterone today in readiness for hopefully first cycle in July. Xx

Hey guys,
I have my embryo transfer tomorrow.
First go on IVF after two failed IUIs.
Got 5 eggs and all 5 fertilised so I'm trying to stay confident but love to hear how others are going with it all?

Hey @ClaireBear101 welcome and exciting times ahead! Are all your 5 day 5 blastocysts that you have, so 1 in tomorrow and 4 in the freezer?

fingers crossed for you lovely.

I’m starting my Northisterone on Monday and taking it til 30th June then will have to wait for bleed, my 1st cycle it took 4 days then I’ll be starting my stims.
I’m super anxious this time as this will be our last go trying to use my eggs so I am hoping and praying for an embryo to transfer

@Clairehbear I will pray with you, can only imagine how you must be feeling.
If you don’t mind me asking, how many times have you been through the process previously?

SlinkMcSlink · 16/06/2024 08:51

@Clairehbear I finished my last northisterone tablet on Friday. Just waiting round for my period now. Bit worried as I’ve heard that it can be more intense. Not sure why.

SlinkMcSlink · 16/06/2024 08:54

@CakePigeon30 Are you a teacher too? I’ve just been reading another thread on here and you’ve said you’ve just had Ofsted? Omg!! Going through ivf and Ofsted. I’d be scared in case I told the inspector where to go!!! Hope it went well.

FlutteryButtery2 · 16/06/2024 09:15

Blood test was negative so that’s me done for this cycle

@SlinkMcSlink my period was actually better on the northisterone 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

CakePigeon30 · 16/06/2024 09:17

@SlinkMcSlink yeah had ofsted - wasn't too bad, I don't actually have many symptoms for down regulation so not feeling too hormonal, just tiredness (but don't know if that is mainly from the ofsted).

I did get my period the day after my prostap injection (was due then anyway) and it lasted mucccch longer than usual (ten days instead of five) so suppose that has been another side effect haha.

@SlinkMcSlink my period was normal after the norethisterone and started 3 days later, so hopefully yours won't be any worse for you!

I noticed a couple of people mention they're at LWC Darlington on this thread. So strange out of all the places, that's the clinic we're at too!

CakePigeon30 · 16/06/2024 09:21

@Zeeha how are your injections going?

OP posts:
GwenH82 · 16/06/2024 09:32

Good luck @ClaireBear101 it's our last attempt too. We are so excited and hopeful and yet bloody terrified and scared too.

Zeeha · 16/06/2024 09:47

Hi @CakePigeon30 the Meriofert in my tummy is going surprisingly well! I'm amazed at myself as I'm such a pansy with needles lol.

I had my first Fyremadel injection in my leg last night. That didn't go quite as well! On the first attempt the needle was struggling to go in and then blood came out straight away so I stopped. I pinched a bigger area and tried again. I managed to get the needle in that time, but I was shocked at how much force it needed. The instructions said I had to draw back slightly on the plunger to check for blood. I didn't like the thought of drawing it back, but I did it and there was no blood thankfully. I could definitely feel the Fyremadel injection a lot more than the Meriofert. I wonder if I was unlucky and hit a little blood vessel on the first attempt. Anyway I'm feeling better for tonight with having done it once before now!

How are you getting on? I'm finding the time is flying by.

So sorry @FlutteryButtery2 hope your kind to yourself and take time to process. This journey is so hard and it takes so much from us.

@GraciousProtea thanks very much means a lot.
This is our 2nd cycle. We done our first cycle in May and got 1 embryo that didn’t make transfer. I have extremely low AMH so the likelihood of it working are very slim but I have to try. So 1 more attempt and if this doesn’t work then will look into donor eggs and most probably go abroad.

@SlinkMcSlink i found the bleed wasn’t too bad bit more crampy but it was manageable. I hated the Northisterone I was just glad to have them finished they made me feel hormonal and anxious so def not looking forward to it this time. Fingers crossed your bleed comes quick for you
