Starting IVF January 2024

Hi ladies,

Just wondered if anyone is due to start their IVF cycle this month and want to keep company?!

I will be starting my first round hopefully in just over a week's time, on a short protocol.
After 2 years ttc, hoping this is finally our year!

@Blossomofhope have everything crossed for you that the line keeps getting darker! I'm in no rush as I don't expect to have been so lucky, so I'll probs just wait til my test day on Wednesday!

I'm sorry the 2 dropped off, I know it's hard but try and look at the positives and remember it's true - it only takes one and your good quality one could be it ♥️🤞

Am slightly freaking out, told myself I wouldn't but I guess I felt jealous and decided I would test this morning 🤣🤣 and I'm pretty sure I have a very faint bfp... this came up in the time it took me to be mid tooth brush, usually I'm terrible and am kidding myself hours after thinking oh is that a line but this defo came up within a few mins. I did my trigger shot 2 weeks tomorrow so although I haven't tested it out, I really can't imagine that it's still in my system by now as before it's gone by about 9 or 10 days. Very cautiously excited but will see what the next few days bring, and my OTD on Weds🥰🙏🤞

@cbear1989 ah I’m so pleased you’re seeing a line. I’m same as you re trigger and I did a double trigger but I tested on the same day on my last treatment cycle and it was negative so it gives me some confidence.
I was wide awake for a few hours at 3am last night which never happens to me - I had night sweats which put the fear into me that my period was coming. But tested this morning and still see a line so feel somewhat reassured.

@Natty2 It’s such a rough process. Cancellations are rubbish - I’ve had them. I try tell myself things happen for a reason. Maybe for this next frozen transfer you’ll be in the best shape and it’ll be your cycle! ❤️

@Blossomofhope Thank you 😘😘 bless you, its probably just the worry of finding out for sure, even if you tell yourself that you're not stressing it still creeps up on you!

Glad your little line is still there!! 🥰🥰 I never have a line at this point either so allowing myself to start feeling a little optimistic but still wary. probs gonna wait til Sunday or Monday to see if it's still there and hopefully a little darker and then will do a proper one weds which is my test day. haven't told hubby yet but hopefully Wednesday can be a special day for us. Is your OTD the same as me?

The night sweats are not fun haha how are you feeling otherwise? I just admit I feel literally wiped out tired, but now that I'm home I put it down to work, and all of the travelling I've had to do over the past few days but now wondering whether its maybe a bit of both. felt quite sick first thing but not long had some brekkie and feel a bit better. keep going between really cold to hot flushes atm too.

Thursday is my otd.. I know I’ll keep testing til then. I just feel tired & really hungry all the time.
I’m nervous for the hcg test. I so hope things progress.

@Blossomofhope probs cos he will tell me I've done it too early haha he's a stickler for the rules 🤣🤣 luckily I have you guys to help me in the current moment!

Bless ya, I agree the tiredness is crazy. I find I'm starving and then really full and the cycle just keeps going round and round 🤣🤣

@cbear1989 My tests are progressing but I can’t help but be so full of fear because I had a chemical pregnancy in the past. Very grateful to be getting positive tests but can’t wait to be further along and confirmed by the clinic etc. I’m sure you’re probably the same.

@Blossomofhope can completely understand the worry, I'm a funny one cos the issue for me has always been getting pregnant, I've literally never seen a positive test that isn't from the trigger 😅😅 try not to worry, especially if they're progressing this is such a good sign so let that excitement build and who knows what the next few weeks are gonna bring! How have you been feeling? I've left it 2 days and done another one and I def think this line came up straight away and is clearer within a few minutes. I'm in absolute disbelief and that this might finally be happening for us, can't quite believe it! 🥹🥰🤞

@cbear1989 I’m similar to you. I’ve only had one positive test a year and a half ago and nothing since. And even that time I had so much spotting before the positive test. It’s amazing it’s finally happening - did you tell your partner yet? Delighted for us. So your blood test is Wednesday?

@Blossomofhope bless you!! it's weird isn't it, I expected spotting but haven't had any. I had absolutely crazy pains and tingles in my boobs yesterday so starting to feel like these are good signs, I guess everyone is so different with symptoms.

No I haven't told him yet! keeping this lovely little secret to myself (and you guys 🤣🤣). For our clinic we don't have a blood test it's just a home pregnancy test and then they book a scan at about 7 weeks to check the viability if you are pregnant. Have the proper Clear blue ones for weds 😅😅 so am a lot more hopeful that I'm finally gonna see the result I want on them and can share it with him 🥰🥰

Am guessing yours is bloods? Have you told your partner yet? 😍😍

@cbear1989 ah I see. Funny how diff clinics have diff approaches. Yes mine is a blood test. I’m intrigued to hear what the hcg level is. I have used a couple of clear blues with the line but I haven’t used the clear blue with the digital because I’m scared it’ll say not pregnant - purely because I read the digitals only pick up a higher level of hcg. Now whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. But I’m going to use it tomorrow as itl be 9dp5dt/14dpo so should show up. I think I prob implanted a day or two after transfer. I have a whoop tracker and it showed real changes in my heart rate around then.

Ya I told my partner the day I did the test even though I told him I wouldn’t test for a few more days 😂 .. I thought his reaction would be really joyous but he was actually more emotional and just seemed so relieved. Bless him 🥺 … I’m excited for you to tell your partner! I think my clinic also does a scan around the 7 week mark. After that I assume the next one is 12 weeks. It’s all so new to me.

@Blossomofhope totally get that! I've been praying for the day of seeing 'Pregnant' on a digital clear blue test so hopefully weds will finally be the day. Show us all a picky of your digi one once you have it! so so happy for you too 😍🥹

Aww reading that literally gave me goosebumps!! That's so sweet, his reaction sounds adorable ❤️❤️ making me excited for weds now for sure.

I'm super emotional as well just keep welling up at stupid things 🤣🤣

I got my official BFN today along with AF. I tested early so I knew this would be the result.

Have emailed the clinic and hope to try again next month.

Hey guys, finally got my positive on my Clearblue Digi this morning so starting to feel this might be happening now! Told hubby too. I know him too well, he was like but its not Wednesday 🤣🤣 so so Happy though. so strange but being able to share with friends and family especially when they know what we've been going through but I know it's sensible to wait a little 🥰🤞

@Bruceytwo Im sorry to hear. I know how rubbish it is to hear it hasn’t worked. That was me last time. Take time to get over it and when you feel ready, go for it again. Apparently there’s more success after the first time. Hope you’re ok.

@cbear1989 I also got a positive on the digi test this morn, relief! I agree it’s so weird keeping this secret. Family knew we were planning another round but they didn’t know we did it. I’m going to visit my fam in a few weeks and will be keeping it to myself. I just want to wrap myself up in cotton wool now .

@cbear1989 @Blossomofhope congratulations both! So pleased to hear it's worked for you, and gives me hope for our potential second round.
Our consultation has been cancelled tomorrow annoyingly until next Friday so hopefully at this point we can work out if we're going to transfer our only one or do another round.

@Bruceytwo sorry to hear this. Did you have any frozen?

@Natty2 ah I know it’s such a tough decision. You never know though - the one frozen might be the one! 🤞🏻

I had my beta blood test today. No surprise, it was very negative (0.6). I'm guessing when it's this low, it means there was no implantation at all.

I'll speak to the nurse tomorrow, but now, it's on to my first FET (I only have one embryo banked) in March.

@cbear1989 yes it so is. So you’re passed your official test day now? I had my blood test this morning, will get the results this afternoon. Eek

@Copenhagener sorry to hear this, I'm also moving on to a FET in March, are you going medicated or unmedicated? I can't decide! Hopefully March will be the time for Danish successes!

@Natty2 Thanks, I do have 3 frozen so am very lucky with that. Sorry about your cancellation, it can feel like there's always something!
