@Doxy21 regarding your thyroid, do you have thyroid antibodies? You mentioned your levels are ok but other levels not so much?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 23/11/2023 21:19

@Sunflower360 im not really sure? TSH 1.29, TPO antibodies elevated at >600 - low vit d - prednisolone low dose around implantation

Sunflower360 · 23/11/2023 21:22

@Doxy21 sounds similar to me in that the TSH was low at normal level but antibodies are present. Good that its flagged in readiness for your transfer

Thanks @Sunflower360! A break has done wonders for my mental health, didn’t really realise how much it was effecting me until I took a couple of months off. I’m going away for work next week and then away with DH for 2 weeks before Christmas. So nice to feel like “me” again. Will attempt 3rd cycle and transfer in January - but putting it all firmly to the back of my mind for now. Hope your 3rd cycle goes well! Assuming follicles were on your accessible side in today’s scan?
@Doxy21 wishing you the best of luck with this cycle and change of protocol! Was your AFC 6+ then? A promising start! X

Doxy21 · 23/11/2023 23:17

Thanks @HopefulElle it was 6 - but one was a cyst but they still let me go ahead. So fingers crossed!

Sunflower360 · 24/11/2023 07:45

@HopefulElle that sounds good, sounds like the break has done wonders for you. In an ideal world I would have had a break but being 38 really don't want to waste anytime, this year is write crucial to give this a good shot.

Follicles were on the accessible side this time, thankfully, another reason why I can't delay as last month wren I had the residual follicle cysts they were on the other side- got to catch the good side when it comes up!

@VenusStarr
@Hopesandsunshine

Tagging you both from a previous thread in case you wanted to join as there will likely be others in cycle when you are too, plus there are some others in cycle at the moment... including me!

Does anyone know the timeline for mild ivf? On Nat modified I was on 150 gonal f every other day, now it’s 225 every day. Does that mean ehh collection happens sooner? I don’t think so right? It’s always usually around day 14 of cycle

VSRCM · 24/11/2023 08:35

@Doxy21 My first mild cycle was 9 days injections and then trigger, collection on day 12. Second mild cycle was 12 days injections, trigger and collection on day 15. Dosage was 225 but increased to 275 on last 2 days for second cycle.

Sunflower360 · 24/11/2023 08:42

@Doxy21 varies as @VSRCM says. You should hopefully still be collecting around the same time too. I'm trying mild this time too, started ok 150 Gonal-F, think we may be on similar timelines. Are they going to do a fresh transfer for you?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 24/11/2023 08:52

Thanks both! Yeah I will be having a day 3 fresh transfer

VenusStarr · 24/11/2023 09:02

Hi @Sunflower360 thank you for the tag.

Hi everyone, I'm due to start a 3 cycle package late December. Hoping for a fresh transfer on the last cycle. I'll be doing mild icsi with 225 bemfola.

Our last go at ivf was a bit of a disaster, so we took a year out. Like you @HopefulElle it's been really good for my mental health and thankfully my amh has improved even though I'm 40 now.

Looking forward to chatting with you all x

Jennaqua · 24/11/2023 10:04

All the best.

Doxy21 · 24/11/2023 12:27

@VenusStarr ooooh did you take any specific steps to improve your AMH? Good luck!

VenusStarr · 24/11/2023 12:41

@Doxy21 I had very low vitamin D 3 years ago when I last was tested, so was on a high dose of vit D and I read recently that low levels can affect amh. So I've been on 4000iu recently and 600mg of ubiquinol. I've also been exercising regularly for the last year, so think maybe all that in combination might have helped.

gemso2020 · 24/11/2023 15:46

Thanks for creating the new thread @Sunflower360 :)

Maddie23 · 24/11/2023 15:48

@Doxy21 I was on the mild protocol and did 10 days of stims and EC was on day 13.
I think it does vary as others have mentioned. I initally was going to trigger on day 9 for EC on day 11 but after my scan they decided to give it a few more days.

Ks2023 · 25/11/2023 07:58

Hi girls. I read all your previous posts and it was very informative. I wish you all best of luck in your IVF journey. I’m about to start my first round with create in December. Can you please share your protocols with me. They send me medication list but I’m confused is it just for 1 months or is it for all 3 eggs collections.

Sunflower360 · 25/11/2023 08:33

@Ks2023 Hi! The invoice is for all 3 cycles and looks like you may be on natural modified if I understand that correctly? Looks same to what I had. They deliver the fridge stock meds per cycle so as to not fill your fridge up. I have been on natural modified the last 2 cycles with Create but am trying mild this time with steroids as I'm going to transfer if all goes ok to continue.

What are your circumstances? Is this your first cycle or have you had previous ones? Hope your December cycle goes ok, when do you start?

OP posts:
VSRCM · 25/11/2023 08:34

@Ks2023 I would double and triple check that with a nurse (not the PC). If a straightforward mild-stim protocol, then this looks like 1-cycle and (they usually do one cycle at a time) but not sure why 6 Ovitrelles! Ovitrelle is the trigger so you will only need 3 in total..

Classic admin error at first glance.

VSRCM · 25/11/2023 08:39

@Ks2023 or what @Sunflower360 said! Sorry, I’m not familiar with natural modified but I have had an error in the quotes Every. Single. Cycle. so I am very very skeptical 🙂

Sunflower360 · 25/11/2023 08:42

@VSRCM I had 6 triggers quoted as Natural Modified is a double trigger protocol usually (although I only had one last time due to my Estradiol levels), I do agree, though it is worth triple checking in the nurse consultation

@Ks2023 also keep a record of what meds are used each cycle as you may find you don't use them all and they roll into the next cycle so you don't need your full order next time... for instance I'm owed 1 x trigger but then I've been issued extra stimulation without charge so swings and roundabouts so I'm fine with that. But if I hadn't received the extra stimulation I would have requested the money back for the trigger I never got dispensed. Unfortunately you do need to micro manage that part

We not gonna have medication from them I think it’s rip off. My in-laws own pharmacy so I’ll get in myself. They offered natural modified for me as my AMH 4.78 and AFC is only 3 and my FSH is 18 so I’m complicated case 😢 it’s my first ever try. I have 1 baby already who is 2 now. 1 chemical this January and nothing since then. I’m 38 as well and my husband 44 so time is running out. Who done natural modified how many eggs you been able to collect per cycle? Also gonal f 900iu and it’s 3 so I’ll use only 1 gonal f per circle? It’s 1 pen? So how I’m gonna use it all in one go? Just for 1 day? Sorry so many questions I’m absolutely clueless 🙏🏻
