@Sunflower360 yeah they always say cycle 1 is experimental to see what works but I’m here on technically cycle 6… hahaha

Sunflower360 · 25/11/2023 17:46

@Doxy21 yeah and this one is cycle 4 for me 😂 I think a lot is also about if you're on the same page as the Dr and if your views are listened/acted upon. If so then probably that is as good as its going to get with IVF treatment, the rest is up to making the right tweaks at the right time

But reality is if you have a aneuploid embryo then your chances are not great at the offset...but of course you'll only know that if you test. But then if you test you read you could be ruling about embryos that could correct themselves. Will just see what happens, time will tell!

I am going for IVF/ICSI+SD_MOT5. With AFH=23 and Trilaminar endometrium. I want to connect with the CEO via LinkedIn and give feedback from my experience because I don't think she knows about all these reviews and feedback. From admin to clinical staff. They make the process daunting for ladies. It's unbelievable.

Sunflower360 · 25/11/2023 19:43

@Jennaqua Triamlinear Endometrium and SD_MOT5?

Jennaqua · 25/11/2023 19:49

Pardon?🙂Is that a question? @Sunflower360

VSRCM · 25/11/2023 20:05

@Jennaqua That is a great idea! Please do, I did something similar with Agoda a long while back and actually got a response + vouchers! Maybe we can all get some money back for our inconvenience and putting up with their perpetual errors 😎

Sunflower360 · 25/11/2023 21:42

@Jennaqua sorry, yes! Was not sure what they were?

@Doxy21 how did your scan go? No Cetrotide for me as yet, still stimming at 150. Interesting as they said they don't do bloods on mild for the day 5/6 scan, only on natural modified. Said they base it on the follicle sizes...

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 27/11/2023 13:00

@Sunflower360 today was my day 6 scan and I had bloods? 3 follicles, stay at 225 daily and take cetrotide in the AM on Wednesday before my next scan

Sunflower360 · 27/11/2023 13:02

@Doxy21 weird how they do things differently. I did think it was odd but makes no difference I suppose at this stage, will see if they do bloods on Wednesday. What size are your 3? That's a good number so hopefully you'll get 3 eggs

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 27/11/2023 13:08

I have no idea of the size tbh! He did show me the chart but I didn’t register - the hormones are giving me a perpetual headache and I’m so thirsty so I felt like shit for the 8am scan!

Sunflower360 · 27/11/2023 13:22

@Doxy21 fingers crossed, you may be at egg collection by the weekend! I may be a bit slower as my follicles are not quite there, will see come Weds

Sunflower360 · 27/11/2023 13:44

@VenusStarr how are you following your meeting with the Dr?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 27/11/2023 16:08

@Sunflower360 something was lower than expected on my bloods - phone cut out as doc was speaking 🙄 so I’m upping gonal f to 250

Sunflower360 · 27/11/2023 16:19

@Doxy21 that's annoying, can you can them back? I would suggest taking a photo of the computer screen with your follicle sizes next time too, I do that so I have a record to note down of how things are progressing. The nurse let me do that, at the end of the day its my data and I want to keep a close eye myself so I can challenge where needed

VenusStarr · 27/11/2023 16:41

Hi @Sunflower360 thanks for checking in. The coordinator messaged back, I've got a new Dr appointment on Friday. Feeling calmer. Hoping once that's done I can get my nurse consult and meds.

Fingers crossed @Doxy21 I wonder if it was your estradiol levels?

Fingers crossed for you both x

Doxy21 · 27/11/2023 17:29

@Sunflower360 i usually would pay more attention to the screen but it’s only day 6 so i figure everything is negligible? My old clinic used to print it if I asked. They were progressing and the cyst was getting smaller. This is my last ever collection so I’m kind of over it all tbh! I was so excited to do mild and now I’m wondering if I should have stuck with natural modified. But oh well!

@VenusStarr I’m sure whatever he said was low he said it was less than 600 and should be more but I may be making that up! Does that sound like Estradiol?

Sunflower360 · 27/11/2023 17:34

@Doxy21 it just tells you how many follicles abs what stage their at, I find it useful just so I can track and compare to my previous cycles.

Looks like a lot of analytical work to get us there🎯🎁🎁🎯👌🥰 I believe every effort is worth it. 🤗

Joining this thread. Going to my initial ultrasound tomorrow. Have previously already done all my blood tests and ultrasound. Don't expect anything new. I do have low testosterone, anyone had this before?

Nervous about beginning at Create given all the negative feedback. But they still have a high success rate based on HFEA. What do ladies think? Happy with their level of care so far?

Sunflower360 · 28/11/2023 21:27

@buttonfour My personal experience clinician wise has been good, attentive and tailored (definitely in comparison to my 1st NHS cycle which was like a conveyor belt approach). Admin wise at Create-not the best but if you don't mind keep track of those things then it's fine. If I've ever noticed an error they are quick to fix and do not challenge back, or so my experience has been anyway.

I'm on my 3rd collection with Create (4th overall) and hoping to transfer this time round. Whether I have success with the embryo transfer is yet to be seen but up to this poiylnt my results have been better than the NHS cycle where I didn't even get fertilisation (probably because they couldn't even tell the difference between a blood vessel or follicle in the scans...yep it was to that level).

What are your circumstances so far? Hope your scan goes ok!

buttonfour · 28/11/2023 21:54

@Sunflower360 thanks for the advice and that clinician care has been good so far! We are 35 and have been TTC for two years. All tests done so far don't show anything abnormal, although sperm could be a bit better. We are healthy and active and don't smoke. We are now looking at IVF so we can get some eggs frozen and also don't want to keep waiting/trying. Have not done any egg collection so far.. know NHS would cover us but the wait with them is so long... so have decided to just go straight to private at this point. I am scared of needles and having to be put under for the egg collection.. but am just going to pluck my courage as we've been TTC for two years.

Sunflower360 · 28/11/2023 22:03

@buttonfour egg collection is daunting at first but actually is not bad at all, especially if you're sedated, best sleep ever! Each collection I've had with Create has been good care and I've felt hardly nothing afterwards, not even groggy from the anaesthetic. Whereas with my NHS cycle I was taking painkillers for 2 days and was really tender and felt sick from anaesthetic, probably says something about the clinical side more than anything - I do feel Create are very cautious in their approach, if they can't access a follicle or it poses a risk they won't do it, in the grand scheme of these it's not worth it and that's what they've advised me too as I have an ovary that's hard to reach. Hope it all goes ok for you, any questions please ask!

It could be @Doxy21 I think estradiol is related to how many follicles have eggs. Are you back for a scan today?

How's your cycle going @Sunflower360

I've got a consultation on Friday with my old doctor, so hopefully will get the go ahead to see the nurse and order meds.

@buttonfour I've been with Create for 2.5 years (but not done any treatment for 1 year). I've found the care good but more recently communication has been a bit flaky and when you're already stressed it can be frustrating. But when you're at the clinic the care is fab and they do look after you.
I echo @Sunflower360 egg collection sedation is lovely and I've found Recovery good too.
