@Sunflower360 I'm set to do a FET with my 3-cycle, I just had a look on the invoice, and it didn't explicitly state that meds for the FET are included. I'm not sure what the meds are though so maybe they are included in the meds breakdown. I would have thought it was included though as they do try to sell it as an 'all inclusive' kind of thing.

Thanks for the advice about mild vs NM, I read a bit more over last couple of days, and think I will ask for a chat with my consultant and push for that next time.

Sunflower360 · 02/12/2023 17:11

Thanks @gemso2020 think you're right and I'm not sure of meds either tbh!

Hi my IVF family. I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for all of us. I’m about to start my IVF next week just waiting for my af. First time in 2 years I can’t bloody wait for her. Also I hate being this KAREN but I’m already have so much problem with Create. specially with my coordinator. She is not answering my calls or messages and when I called main phone they told me she is very busy. WTH? I’m paying client as well and I had to chase and book all appointments myself. Doctor told me we will do natural modified IvF and if by any miracle I have more than 5 follicles then we do mild and I have to pay difference. Now my coordinator wants me to pay for MILD regardless just in case? I been quoted 16k for natural and 19 for MILD. Hell no I’m not gonna pay just in case if I miraculously grow many follicles when I always have just 3. Anyway no communication from her I asked for new quote without medication, asked link for finance if we will decide to apply and again nothing. Now they want me to pay £500 for nurse appointment? I don’t wanna pay as you go it’s so much stress I rather pay straight away. Can I ask for new coordinator? Where I can complain? I hate doing this but it’s stressful as it is already 😢

Doxy21 · 02/12/2023 19:48

@Ks2023 that seems strange as the only difference is the meds. So you just pay the extra for the meds as/if you need them - that’s what I’m doing?! Though the meds do seem to be close to £1k more per cycle for mild v Nat modified

Ks2023 · 02/12/2023 20:06

@Doxy21 apparently not only meds

@Ks2023 sorry you've had so many issues already. I have to say I don't really have a lot of contact with my patient coordinator, in all honesty it is a cog in the process that I really don't think Create needs as it just causes more bother than solutions-I communicate mainly with the nursing team and then ad hoc with my patient coordinator (usually just for audit trail or minor admin). You tend to book most your appts in person anyway once you get started, so hopefully things will get better.

As @Doxy21 says the main difference between natural modified and mild is the medication-rest is the same. I would suggest sticking with paying for natural modified and see what happens. Hope your experience improves, the admin side of things does cause a lot of bother for many people unfortunately with Create, but clinical experience has been better

@Ks2023 thats interesting! No one has told me that!

Jennaqua · 03/12/2023 12:58

This is unbelievable. It is what it is. @Ks2023 I micro-manage my patient coordinator, as a matter of fact, I coordinate my patient coordinator.

VSRCM · 03/12/2023 13:10

@Jennaqua 😂well said! I second that!

I feel really disappointed and let down and wouldn’t use them if I can turn back time.

If you can afford Create, you can afford to go abroad for treatment. I wish someone told me sooner..

@Ks2023 Once you have a nurse contact, build a rapport with her and go through her instead. Triple check all your invoices. Also, writing a honest review on trustpilot will help make them pay more attention to you, although it will not improve on their competency..

@Sunflower360 The £2,225 was with NHS but via the private route.

Ks2023 · 03/12/2023 14:12

Thank you girls. My husband keeps asking me how much and how we can pay and keep telling him I don’t know😩 have nurse appointment on Tuesday but it’s zoom one? Is it correct? What’s the next step after nurse consultation? That’s the problem no one tells me what to do next I just have to find out myself 😅 don’t wanna nasty surprises like something is not ready or we need some more tests and my AF gonna start very soon. Also, my husband asked me a question if you can help me please 😅 how things work from his side? When he need to give his semen? We doing ICSI should he do his business every time during egg collection or he can do it before and only ones? We don’t have any male problems but I suggested ICSI myself for my egg quality. My husband needs to travel for work and I’m scared he will not be here for his semen collection

Sunflower360 · 03/12/2023 14:34

@Ks2023 I would suggest raising these issues with them. They really ought to be explaining the process at the very leastthe nurse consultation is zoom as standard and will go through the process with you, I would having a list of questions-remember no question is a stupid question, ask everything and anything on your mind about the process!

Semen sample is on the egg collection day, each time you get to that point. So it is a fresh sample, usually taken whilst you're in theater

Sunflower360 · 03/12/2023 14:35

After the nurse consultation you should have your meds delivered and wait on your AF to start the cycle, but if you're not happe please do make that point so they can sort things out

Ks2023 · 03/12/2023 14:58

@Sunflower360 thank you. I’m so excited and so scared at the same time. I don’t think I slept at all last night just overthinking every scenarios in my head. Have my HIV test tomorrow just find out Friday that I need one 🤣
when you having your transfer? Is it fresh or fet after 3 cycles? X

Sunflower360 · 03/12/2023 15:08

@Ks2023 I'm having a FET likely starting end of January now after this egg collection. Need to have a Hysteroscopy before the FET as there is a possible polyp which may need removing, hence not having a fresh transfer

Ks2023 · 03/12/2023 15:11

@Sunflower360 fingers crossed for you ❤️🙏🏻

gemso2020 · 03/12/2023 19:34

Thanks @Sunflower360 will have a read over that article now.

@Ks2023 Good luck starting your treatment, as others have said just be sure to track everything and double-check what is on any invoice. Admin is a nightmare, I've literally just sent off a formal complaint due to payment issues with medication.

Sunflower360 · 03/12/2023 19:49

@gemso2020 oh no, keep us posted on how the complaint goes!

Hi everyone 👋🏼

Thanks for the tag @Sunflower360 a little about me; 36 and my OH is 37; no known fertility issues except for low AMH (5.2pmol checked October 2022).
We are experiencing secondary infertility issues as conceived my 4YO boy no issues in 2019 but last 2 years and 4 months of trying and have had no success.

Completed 2 rounds elsewhere long protocol, first cycle - collected 3 eggs, 1 fertilised and transferred on day 3; positive pregnancy but was an ectopic resulting in emergency surgery of right tube removal and blood loss on 29th Dec 2022.

We decided to take a break for a few months to heal and grieve. We did another cycle with the same clinic in October 2023 got 4 eggs but again only 1 fertilised normally (not done ICSI but may try it for our create rounds) not sure if this is normal or not?

We’ve gone for natural modified this time to hope to get better quality eggs and embryos and hope to start soon. I’m not sure what is going on with my body but last cycle they found a cyst and no follicles so couldn’t start and now I’ve had another bleed, which will be two bleeds in the space of 3 weeks! Can I ask if this is normal after IVF treatment? so they have asked me to go in for a scan tomorrow to see what’s happening and I’ve asked for a blood test as I’m getting a bit concerned but prior to that my AFC has been 4-6 so hoping this is just a blip.

Sorry to hear about your delay in transfer @Sunflower360 but glad that they have spotted the polyp. Good luck for your EC next week.

Good luck for your EC too @Doxy21 please keep us updated on how you get on.

Good luck starting your treatment @Ks2023 hope your nurse zoom call helps to clarify everything.

glad things are progressing well for you @VenusStarr let me know how you get on not long until you start meds am I right?

Ks2023 · 04/12/2023 12:02

@Hopesandsunshine awwww hun I hope it’s just a bleep and new scan will go well and you will be able to start treatment soon ❤️ I did my blood tests today for HIV ect and have nurse consultation tomorrow. Just waiting for my AF now and so exited and so scared at the same time. I’m losing myself at small things atm

Sunflower360 · 04/12/2023 15:43

@Hopesandsunshine IVF can mess up your cycles I have to say, after my withdrawal bleed my cycles after each collection so far have 5/6 days longer than usual.

@Doxy21 have you got the green light to proceed to collection? I'm waiting to hear if I have another day of stims or collection on Weds

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 04/12/2023 17:00

@Sunflower360 - I’m triggering tomorrow and collection Thursday. He thinks 3 eggs max.

jolly86 · 04/12/2023 17:55

Hi everyone! I am also having treatment at create, I did have a successful cycle in 2021 in NHS but no embryos to freeze so now doing it privately. I am quite disappointed, as I am currently day 12 and about to trigger tonight. However, I wasn't scanned over the weekend and in today's scan my lead follicle was 25 mm, the other 4 that are good are 17-18-19 mm. I can't help thinking I should've been scanned on saturday and triggered on sunday. They cancelled my saturday scan last minute after blood results on friday. So now that 25 mm, which seemed to be growing much faster than others, is most likely over mature. Given I had 1 good embryo last time I just fear that was the one. Anyways that is gone... The issue now is, I was told to trigger tonight, but take ibuprofen 3 times tomorrow, to keep that follicle in place (to prevent early ovulation) but reading online it doesn't look like ibuprofen is a good thing during treatment. They said they do this at create. Has anyone had this before?

Hopesandsunshine · 04/12/2023 20:11

Ahhh okay that’s reassuring to know @Sunflower360 and weirdly glad I’m not the only one to experience this.

best of luck @Doxy21 you have done mild stims is that right?

hopefully you know more soon on how much longer you have left to stim @Sunflower360

hope your nurse consultation tomorrow goes well @Ks2023

Update from me; had a scan and the cyst is gone by the looks of it, they’ve taken bloods and I’ll know more if I can start stims or not but got 4 follicles showing at the moment, just hope they’re good quality 🤞🏼

Doxy21 · 04/12/2023 20:13

That sounds great @Hopesandsunshine yep mild for me. Doc thinks 3 eggs. Corresponds with when I did mild before elsewhere.

Sunflower360 · 04/12/2023 20:23

@jolly86 do you know what your estrogen blood results are? That can indicate how many mature follicles you may have. I've been in a similar situation whereby my lead follicle is in the 20's but the other less so they wanted to give them chance to catch up, when I come to trigger I'm going to have stimmed for 12 days too. I've written off my lead follicle and think it'll be over mature, will see what happens and hold out for the others to be ok. I've not heard of the Ibuprofen advice, did they advise what your LH levels were from the blood results?

@Hopesandsunshine thanks. I'm triggering tomorrow like @Doxy21 so collection will be Thursday. Good news about your follicles too
