Hi guys, the other thread was getting quite full so I’ve made this one, sorry if I have forgotten to tag anyone in the next post!!

@wtawtaw oh no, I am sorry for your sore throat and I really hope it is not Covid! I felt quite unwell when I had it in March 😩 Unfortunately yes, you can only use paracetamol.

I am terrified of catching anything at the moment. When I went to London I used a mask in the tube. Too many people 😱

@Charming81 me too! I'm gonna ask mum to bring one of her tests over, hopefully to rule it out. I had my flu jab last Thursday and haven't really felt the same since but doubt it's that!

@SH998 its definitely made it more real now that we are calling her by her name! It’s really exciting! I bet you can’t wait to find out!

I have spent far too little money on too many things thanks to Vinted. Is 10000% my new favourite app. We have all babygrows from newborn - 3 months sorted now, all for less than 80p per babygrow! Madness

@IVFfirsttimer91 oh yes, I didn't notice it! 🤣 Even though we didn't choose the name because it is biblical but purely because we like it. Plus, my husband is a vet so having a child named Noah seemed kind pf logical 🤣

So, I have received a letter today from the hospital with an appointment of "follow up" 7th November. It doesn't say what it is for. Follow up for what? 🙄 Have you had anything similar? I will be 18week pregnant that week. I'll ask my midwife when I'll see her in a couple of weeks.

@Charming81 we didn’t choose Eden because it’s biblical either! We just loved the name! And I love the connection between Noah and his dad being a vet, that’s really sweet!

No I haven’t had any follow up letters from my hospital, just had appointments through with the names of what they are for on (20wk abnormality scan, cervical length scan etc). So I’m not sure what that would be about.

If in doubt I would just call the hospital I think. It might be an extra scan due to this being an ivf pregnancy. But I think I’d call to check it out anyway otherwise I’d be prone to worrying about it. 18 wks is when I’m having my cervical scan so it might just be that poorly named.

Im loving the names! Cannot wait to find out the sex either! Just over a week to go for mine! Next Friday at 5pm!

15 weeks today! Still dont feel pregnant, and definitely dont look pregnant. Zero bump to show for it!

@Sangels267 woop woop! Stopping pessaries was my favourite day of the whole pregnancy, I think!! And I had zero anxiety about it, so it was allllllll joy!!! No more nasty messiness!

Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones that has a nice and tidy little bump right up to the end of your pregnancy.

Mine seems to have gotten huge in the last week or so, and it’s rock hard! My partner keeps catching me at an angle and going ‘weeeeww you look pregnant’(surprise it’s because I am 😂) but it’s making me feel like a real chunk at the moment lol. I think it’s because this is the most my stomach has ever stuck out in my life that I’m feeling really conscious of it!

Im really well! Food aversions seem to be mostly gone, but my blood pressure drops continue in full. And then make me feel sick. Yesterday I was dying my hair (yay) and had to take 2 breaks, as I thought I might pass out.
Fortunately temps are due to go down from tomorrow (were still in the 30s here during the afternoon), which will hopefully help.

I am very excited about my scan next week as well! I NEED to know! Im tired of trying to be gender neutral (which is NOT easy in Portuguese, as there is no neutral... so you have to keep referrencing to the baby as "the child" "the baby".)
I want to call the baby by a name!

I am debating whether to invite my mom to go with me or not... I know she would love it... But Im not sure if I would love having her there, being all emotional 😂

@ASGIRC yay for food aversions being gone! But I’m sorry to hear about your blood pressure drops! Has your doctor suggested anything you can do about that?

I totally get that feeling of excitement. When it came to ours, I wasn’t even anxious on the day. I was just too excited to be anxious 😂😂!

Is this your mums first grandchild? Totally up to you whether you go alone or not, but for me it was lovely to have Shay there to be excited with me. Surprisingly it wasn’t that emotional, just a sort of ‘I KNEW I WAS RIGHT’ and then just so much happiness xx

@IVFfirsttimer91 doctor totally brushed me off regarding blood pressure.
When I mentioned it she was like "but it was fine when it was measured earlier". Like... DUH! And then she told me to eat better...

It is my moms first grandchild, which is why she will be all emotional. Which I am not, and I dont deal well other peoples emotions LOL.
So yeah, still very undecided. I also keep thinking maybe something has happened, and that Ill find out at the scan. I know its very unlikely, but it keeps popping up in my mind.
And my doppler cant help me, since I cant find a heartbeat. Only the placenta. And apparently the placenta on its own is not a good indicator of things being fine!
Again, this doesnt really worry me. My placenta is literally under my belly button, and the baby is behind it, so its pretty normal not to find the heartbeat. I just dont get the reassurance!
Though the other day I thought I heard the baby move!

@ASGIRC thats fair enough, to be honest I’m not sure I’d have liked an overly emotional thing at the scan. More just excited support haha.

The chance of miscarriage at this point are so low, so it’s unlikely anything is wrong but it is always in the back of the mind as a nasty little afterthought isn’t it.

It must have been really cool to hear the baby move though! I’ve felt mine moving every now and again for a little while now I think. Still not 100% sure it’s her and not gas or stomach bubbles though!

@IVFfirsttimer91 I wasnt 100% sure it was the baby moving, but I think so... I was listening to the placenta, and not moving the doppler, and would hear random sounds. So it might have been!

Yeah, thats the thing. Also not one for a big emotional thing at the scan... So I probably wont invite her...

And yeah, its such an annoying niggle. I know how very unlikely it is, and I dont really think anything bad has happened, but then I think of the scan, and the thought creeps up for a second.

I have NOT felt the baby moving. A few weeks ago I had some bubbles, but it was probably gas! Nothing since! Also, with my anterior placenta, I wont probably feel anything until like week 30 LOL

@ASGIRC i hope it was baby moving that you heard!! That would have been very cool!!

The gender scan is super exciting but I think I will be a bit more worried when we get to the abnormality scan. I had a friend who got really bad news at this recently so I think that’s the one where if you are/I am going to require support it will be that one.

@IVFfirsttimer91 I am 100% going to that one alone. I deal with bad news better on my own. Definitely would NOT want anyone with me for it.

My friend also got not great news at hers. In the end it turned out everything was fine, but that was after many genetic tests and stress.

But I am (somewhat) confident everything will be fine!

Oh dear, I can't think about the 20 week scan. I still have at the back on my mind that my blasto was very poor quality so I am terrified it can mean some kind of problem. I really hope it will be not. For any of us. I can't even think about it 😱

I can definitely feel Noah moving. I had doubts till yesterday. I feel "things" always in the same spots, and yesterday I found out it is where he has his head and arms 💙 So I really think it is him ❤️ It is still not a very clear feeling though. I have to stay very still

So…. I’ve just been POKED from the inside!!! First ever actual movement and not just flutters! It was amazing guys!

I’d like you all to meet Frankie … we went a few days early and I haven’t stopped smiling since 🩵🩵🩵

@Charming81 it made me go ‘OH’ out loud I was so surprised! It’s the weirdest feeling and quite hard to describe! I felt only what I can describe as ‘rolling’ as well. It was fab!

@IVFfirsttimer91 what were you doing? Were you sat still? I can only feel him when I don't move, usually around my bellybutton

@Charming81 I was laying on the sofa with DP watching bad girls! For once I wasn’t being used as a cat bed so was all stretched out and she decided it was her moment to shine 💖🥰. We then of course spent the next hour perfectly still with our hands on my stomach waiting for her to do it again (which she did a few times) dp swears he felt her too, but I don’t know if I could feel her moving with my hand or just inside. Still very exciting!
