@Lowo21 I’m so sorry!

ARM23 · 24/09/2023 09:33

@Lowo21 I am so sorry about you BFN…I hope you are taking sometime for yourself today.

@GCS34 just the patches (10days). I have put them on tummy and back, I was wondering if I could put them on my thigh (tummy getting a bit sore). Mine are so sticky I struggle to get them off, so I haven’t needed to cover them. When I have had my collections, they always say “lining looks good”. I’ve always been doing frozen transfers so haven’t really thought about it too much. Scan at 8:00.

@Justkeepmoving1234 amazing news, so happy for you!

GCS34 · 24/09/2023 09:51

kirstysmbc · 24/09/2023 09:00

@GCS34 I wore the patches for three months, they're very sticky and no need to cover them when showering or bathing. There's no way they'll come off!! You can even wear them swimming 😊

@kirstysmbc i had one that came off in the shower so now I’m paranoid! I’ve just resorted to taping the edges with waterproof plasters as they were peeling off otherwise.

@ARM23 have you had transfers before from using the patches? Sure it’ll be fine then. For me I had such a history of shit lining and nothing ever above 6.5mm max, so it has been a stressful 3 weeks as there was a make or break apt Friday where cancelling would have been the answer if it hadn’t thickened. You can do them anywhere lower than your waist apparently! I’m alternating top of the thigh on each leg.

kirstysmbc · 24/09/2023 10:25

@GCS34 Gosh, mine have always been so hard to get off, and hurt worse than plasters as well. With that and the horrid sticky residue, I really don't like them, but needs must!

Doughnut89 · 24/09/2023 11:16

@Lowo21 I’m so sorry it wasn’t a positive this time. As others have said, please take care of yourself. I hope your clinic lets you try again before Christmas x

CB2805 · 24/09/2023 11:44

CB2805 · 24/09/2023 11:45

did you do FET after your withdrawal bleed?

girljulian · 24/09/2023 12:02

Congrats @Justkeepmoving1234 !!

I’ve lost hope here unfortunately, no discharge or spotting or basically anything. I was so positively going around telling people symptoms mean nothing (because I had loads of symptoms last BFN) but 🫠🫠🫠🫠

ARM23 · 24/09/2023 12:12

@GCS34 i haven’t done any transfers before…1st one!

CB2805 · 24/09/2023 13:30

@girljulian im so sorry for those news! Don’t loose your hope and take care of yourself🩵

73pheonix · 24/09/2023 18:10

@Lowo21 - so sorry to hear this too. Appreciate the need to take time away, Keep us updated on how you go when you’re ready 🤍. Sending you all of my optimism. Xx

Lowo21 · 24/09/2023 18:50

@girljulian this sucks right! What a crappy day!

Thank you all so much for your kind words, hoping to talk to the clinic tomorrow and crack on with the next round. Needless to say I am very much enjoying the glass of wine tonight xx

Wednesday, and no! It's my third transfer and I now truly feel nothing means anything, but I don't want the hell I had the first time of positive which quickly became a chemical.

@girljulian 😞 that’s just so unfair isn’t it? Like some sick joke. I don’t know if it is because we talk about it more when going through ivf, or if others do but not to us, but I swear things like chemicals, mc’s, blighted ovum’s, ectopic or anything else, are SO much more common Amongst us. And by us I mean a collective not just this group. Wonder if that’s scientifically true but it bloody feels it.

Hey ladies practical question - trying to adopt a "right on with the next" mindset .... how long after medicated failed FET did people start their bleed ?
Hope you are all doing well xx

Jellyfish1956 · 25/09/2023 11:49

Hi @Lowo21 - I'm really sorry out the results of your transfer. It's just shit! After my negative, my last day of taking the meds was a Friday, and I started my period on the following Tuesday, so my period only took 3 days to arrive.

@GCS34 great news on the lining!!! Everything is looking good for transfer.

I've got everything crossed for Wednesday @girljulian

Lowo21 · 25/09/2023 12:07

@Jellyfish1956 thank you! That's what I'm thinking, my body usually takes 2/3 days to react 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Jellyfish1956 · 25/09/2023 12:55

@Lowo21 no problem! Are you about to get started when your period arrives? Hope speaking to the clinic today went well.

@Jellyfish1956 @Lowo21 It is a really shit game isn't it - honestly I always try to think that these things are set to build us up to be better people, and make us more resilient parents in the future. It's easier said than done, but it's the way I kinda focus on stuff to try and help my brain deal with upset 😂

Thanks for the wishes for Wednesday. Question @ everyone: when do they thaw the embryo - the day before or the morning of?

OP posts:
Jellyfish1956 · 25/09/2023 18:17

@GCS34 they will thaw the embryo the morning of the transfer. Normally a few hours before to give it time to expand again xx

Hey! Yea ready to get back to it all as soon as AF makes an appearance! It has helped massively! Thank you 😊

Lowo21 · 25/09/2023 20:15

@girljulian how are you doing ?

girljulian · 25/09/2023 21:22

I’m doing okay @Lowo21, thanks for asking! Just one more day to get through…
