I know exactly what you mean! I've had a frantic couple of days, trying to buy presents in the Black Friday sales as I've done absolutely nothing before now. I am finding it a very helpful distraction though.

@Hopingforno2in2024 im really sorry for your negative. It never gets easier doesn’t but as tou say, Christmas is a really joyous time and with a little one, I imagine extremely tiring and exciting, so reset, restart and go again in the new year.

@kirstysmbc sorry yours was negative too. But it sounds like you’re also in a good place with Xmas to reset and then look at the options in Jan.

i don’t expect my transfer to be positive this time so I’ll be with you guys in January for #3. Xx

@Hopingforno2in2024 thank you hun. I hope not either but I just don’t have optimism. It would be a pretty flukey run if I had 2 positives back-to-back — one can hope but it’s unlikely (personally for me I think)

@girljulian no date yet but drugs are started and have my day 14 progress scan on Thurs 7th, so all being well, 5 days after that. Which, puts my OTD as Xmas day. Oh joy 🙄🫣

Someone has to fall into the statistic where two transfers in a row result in a positive @GCS34 I am keeping everything crossed it's you 🩵

@Jellyfish1956 I'm not doing great on statistics atm so I'm going to have to disagree 😂 but I hope I’m wrong and you’re right.

@GCS34 I had three BFPs in a row, and only the second of those was successful, so don't write yourself off just yet. Fingers crossed for a truly fabulous Christmas present for you x

just been catching up with where you’re all at - sending love to all of you with BFNs and congratulations to the BFPs - I hope you’re all doing ok!

Ive been working flat out but we’ve had another collection yesterday. My right ovary didn’t play along this time, so we got 2 eggs, and received the call this morning that one has fertilised so just counting down to day 5 now! 🤞🏼
Im on clexane and Lubion this round so hoping for a chance of sticking if we get to transfer on Wednesday ❤️

@Jellyfish1956 im ok thanks, still worrying about everything! I’m 12 weeks on Wednesday but my scan with the nhs isn’t until the following week so I’ll be 13 by then! I
had a private scan last week at 11 weeks 1 days and everything looked good, seen the heart beat at 173bpm and had a very active baby kicking against me and moving hands around! Still feeling crazy nausea but worth every second of it. How are you?

please no one give up, this was our last embryo after 2 failed transfers and when I say I had no hope I’m really being genuine about that! I was just deflated with it all, couldn't see past it failing but it stuck and so far so good. I know it’s not easy to think about when you’re in the trenches but I know so many others have been in same position before getting their positive. Keep the faith!

@21C This made me tear up a little reading this - what lovely news and such positive vibes around your last embryo! Good luck for your 12 (well, 13 week scan!) and good that you had a positive scan last week. Could you feel the movement or was it based on what you saw that you knew it was moving loads? Do you mind me asking if there was their any reason why this was last or was it just the least favourable? Just shows it means nothing hey! I can't believe you're close to 12 weeks. It feels a lifetime ago I was pregnant (sorry if that is triggering to anyone) but I just don't even feel like I ever was now. Madness.

Thanks for the wishes - hoping Thursdays scan is positive and we can go ahead with Transfer next week. I don't have much faith in the transfer and this one working but we'll see.

@MrsMotts any news on the fertilized egg and how it's doing?
@Hopingforno2in2024 good for you! What did they say (assume they have called back now?) You are going full fresh again right?

I've had my final consultation with my clinic and the doctor I spoke to was amazing but made it quite clear it's not really worth carrying on with my own eggs, which I knew anyway really. I've reserved a donor embryo with a clinic in Portugal and will go ahead with a FET once I have all my test results back and my period starts. Realistically I think it will be the start of February now...

Thanks all - plan is for transfer Wednesday. Unfortunately our clinic doesn’t do a 3 day update, but we’ve had the transfer appointment come through which I’m taking as a positive sign. It’s in an embryo scope incubator so they don’t have to remove to check - but i assume they wouldn’t book it if anything had happened so far.

I keep thinking we only ever had 5% chance of getting to transfer surely we can’t be lucky to do it twice. But trying to push the negative out and keep positive! 🤣

@MrsMotts finger crossed for that egg might be the lucky one🤞

7+3 today ladies just had a scan today. Both babies look fine with strong heartbeats. Although the last couple of weeks haven’t been easy, I started bleeding and spotting and it turns out that I have a hematoma in one of the twins. Dr doesn’t seem concerned at all and believes that it will resolve till 12weeks. Although I’m still very anxious as spotting doesn’t want to stop and stories on Dr Google are not very helpful sometimes😑
also I’m starting slowly to reduce progesterone and estrogen this week which adds more anxiety tbh!

Glad your scan today went well @CB2805 although I am sorry about the spotting. It must be very stressful.

Havent heard from my clinic yet so have no idea what protocol etc I will be on. Am not doing fresh this time @GCS34 but a FET with my 3bb :)

I'm doing ok thanks @21C still worrying about everything too! I am 12 weeks this weekend, and have my scan next week as well. I had NIPT and a scan at 10+1 and all was ok. Not too many symptoms apart from being super sleepy - but trying not to read into it and just hoping all is still ok. I'm so pleased everything is going well with you!

@kirstysmbc that's amazing that you have reserved a donor embryo. I take it you will have to fly out to Portugal for the transfer? Or are you having it shipped to the UK? Christmas with your little one will be such a special time that February will be here before you know it x

I'm so sorry the last few weeks have been stressful @CB2805 but that's great the doctors don't seem worried as all looked well in the scan today! I am weaning off the drugs too this week and it's also making me stress 😂

I just seem so early to stop at 8 weeks and when I questioned they said that both babies placenta are taking already over? Not really convinced about that lol just an anxious rollercoaster

Thanks everyone for your kind words! It all still feels so surreal even seeing baby at 11 week scan. I said to hubby I’m hoping to feel better and more confident about it all at 13 week scan with nhs I think it might finally feel real then!

@GCS34 no I couldn’t feel anything which was funny watching the screen seeing this little one kicking against me inside but not actually feeling it! Our 3rd transfer but our first frozen one and first time using progesterone support after transfer. The other 2 failed transfers were fresh and just didn’t stick albeit seemingly ok grades.

@CB2805 not made any announcements other than telling 2 friends after scan who helped cover for me at an event at weekend and drank my drinks haha. Planning on telling family etc after 13 week scan all going well!

@21C ahhh how surreal. I bet you were so joyed. Will you find the sex out? Have you told anyone? And I think I didn’t word that well - I remember you saying about your others, I meant was this last as it was a low grade embryo? Aka last because it wasn’t the ‘top’ one? Not that it mean anything right? I dunno why I’ve suddenly got hung up on grades again when I know it’s crap as my AB ended how it did and that was supposedly a top one 🤷‍♀️🙄🙈

it’s so lovely to read about how you are all doing, I’m sorry I haven’t posted I’ve found the last few weeks since my transfer tougher than all the treatment.

i am still “positive” but I’m not able to let myself believe it or feel excited.

we had our 6 weeks scan yesterday what was amazing is that we did see a heartbeat.

i should be 6 weeks 4 days but the embryo is measuring only 6 weeks (it’s only 5mm it’s meant to be 6-7 I believe) I’ve also had some bleeding which touch wood has now stopped but my scan showed blood behind the sac where the embryo was trying to pull away and it implant but by some miracle it clung on

ive also got a kidney infection rhe docfors can’t get rid off which is cause for concern they said. I’m back in 2 weeks for another scan, and our consultant said not to get excited yet due to all of the above. I’m feeling very mixed emotions at the moment
