Thank you for the wishes everyone - the scan went well, there was a heartbeat and everything seems to be progressing. I’m a little bit in shock as had convinced myself it was going to go wrong, not quite accepted it yet!

@Salacia I am so pleased and happy for you! Must have been so lovely to see the heart beat. Congrats xx

Thank you both. I remember somebody telling me on a thread on here before that ivf/miscarriage destroys the joy in pregnancy which I feel is very true - doesn’t quite feel real!

@Salacia thats so totally true. Constant worry about everything! Worry bc you cramping and then worry bc you stopped cramping(my life right now lol)! Crazy rollercoaster

Thank you. I’m trying to decide if we tell anybody or not. It’s still so very early so I don’t want everyone knowing but feel that I need some support in case it goes wrong/before everyone buys me my standard bottle of wine with a book token taped to it for Christmas…

What have others done in this situation?

@Salacia I have decided to tell as fewer people as possible. Only those that knew we were doing IVF (3) because I knew they were wondering. We might tell our families at Christmas but I’m keen to wait until after the 18week scan.

There is no correct answer…just do whatever feels right to you.

Thanks @ARM23. Previous cycles we were quite explicit with dates/timings etc which was then pretty soul destroying to update everyone when it failed/ended in miscarriage. I think the problem is that I want to tell a couple of close friends because if this does go wrong I’ll need their support (plus they’re mostly doctors and I’m known for liking a drink - it’s going to be pretty obvious…) but then I feel guilty not letting our parents know. My husbands parents will be very relaxed and respectful but I’m worried my parents are going to make it all about them. I know I just need to put my big girl knickers on and get some boundaries though!

Our plan if all works out is to tell people who don’t know about the IVF after 12 week scan. Several friends and family members do know though as they are either great emotional support or have been helping with childcare while we go to appointments.

currently 5+3 in constant state of anxiety, had an early scan today due to cramping! 2 sacs in which one of them had a small heamatoma! Dr said that cramps and slight bleeding is quite common at this stage?
not sure if I’m much relieved tho.
did anyone experienced before heamatoma? Do you think is something to worry about?

Great to hear the news of some babies on the way from a few people! I hope things are progressing well!

in a turn of events I got my letter reviewing my last transfer (from August!) saying that they recommend doing another natural cycle like last time. I’d already booked in for medicated for starting next month. Potentially though if my cycle arrives on time AND I ovulate before 15th dec 🙈 I might get a transfer before Christmas which is crazy. I think it’s super unlikely cause I feel like my cycle just goes bananas sometimes 🤣 I would be so happy if it could happen though feels like I’ve been waiting way too long!

@Jellyfish1956 Hi! I’ve not posted on here for a while but seen your message and so nice of you to ask about everyone. I have also been thinking of everyone here albeit not been active.

I am currently 10 weeks and also living in a constant state of anxiety. I’m not sure it gets easier @CB2805!
I had a scan with the clinic at 7 weeks 5 days and saw baby and heartbeat which was surreal but lovely. My nhs scan isn’t until 13 weeks but for my own sanity I have booked a private scan at 11 weeks for next week. Currently awake as I’ve been experiencing awful nausea from 4pm onwards every day from about 8 weeks which is strange as always just assumed morning sickness was just that - more common in morning but not here! I am incredibly grateful every single minute of the day to even be in this position and would absolutely take this for our dream baby so please don’t take that as me complaining!

@21C I’m exactly the same…very anxious, I’m 10weeks tomorrow. Constantly nauseous. I had a scan last week (just incase) and all fine but I can’t help but constantly worry.

@Ellenn Thanks for asking, unfortunately the result didn't change for me this cycle. I'm currently looking into donor options, I've definitely reached the end of the road with my own eggs. I'm so pleased you have a plan to move forward and hopefully things will all kick off soon.

@CB2805 @ARM23 @21C I know how you feel about the anxiety, I was a constant mess until about 16 or 17 weeks with my daughter, and spent a fortune on private scans. I do feel like I missed out a bit on the joy of pregnancy at first, but did eventually start to relax and get excited. Wishing you all a speedy and healthy remainder of your pregnancies, and I hope you all get past the anxious stage as soon as possible.

I am a mess waiting for OTD, convinced it hasn’t worked.

@21C @kirstysmbc I honestly believe IVF is taking all the joy of a pregnancy now!

Last day I thought it would be game over! I had a bleed with fresh blood and cramps. God knows how scared I was!!
went for a scan this morning babies seem okey and growing, dr said we’re couple of days away of a heartbeat🤭 apparently the hematoma could cause the bleed!
still a bit anxious not gonna lie, I don’t think I will relax till we have heartbeats!

@Hopingforno2in2023 when it OTD? How you’ve been feeling? I keep my fingers crossed for you🤞🩵

OTD is Saturday @CB2805 but I have red spotting today so not feeling hopeful.

@Hopingforno2in2023 doesn’t loose your hope yet, red spotting doesn’t always sign bad news🤞

I am the same as you @21C @ARM23 and @CB2805 living in a constant state of anxiety and worried it's all gone wrong. My scan as 7 weeks was good but I know things can change. I have. 10 week scan booked for Monday and am praying all will be ok. I don't really have too many symptoms apart from some weird cramps which is worrying me.

I haven't had a heamatoma @CB2805 but I have read about many people who have and everything has been ok 🩵

@Hopingforno2in2023 I'm so sorry about your BFN. Hopefully 2024 will be your year with your little 3bb. It's great to have something lovely like Christmas with a little one to focus on until then
