Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

Hi everyone. I done test this morning after my two week wait which was positive. Now for the 3 week wait to the scan. Just wondering if anyone else in same boat? Don't think i can believe this is real until I see for sure everything is ok. It's not an easy journey, this is my third time but first positive test. Also my clinic never said about continuing progesterone after positive test and was wondering if that's right as I've heard people taking it for at least 8 weeks.

I’m 7+2 and still on same doses of meds I’ve been on since transfer. 3 x progesterone and 3 x oestrogen tablets. I would check with your clinic

I've been advised to continue untill 12 weeks, the wait for the scan drags, mines Monday I'm really nervous I keep thinking the worse but praying for a good outcome, I don't think I'll sleep Sunday night with nerves..

I think I'm worried as I'm having odd days where I spot (only a couple of drops) but keep thinking the meds are masking a misscarriage, I was 8 hours delayed today from taking my lubion because the pharmacy hadnt ordered them on time and i ran out, i started spotting this afternoon so now I feel like that's confirmed the worse for me 😪

@LavenderJoy thank you! The whole thing is just nerve wrecking, it's so hard to relax and believe things may actually work out. Best of luck with your scan on Monday, hopefully it'll be good news 🤞🏻 we overthink every little thing and always expect the worst! The continuous disappointment does that to us!

Had my scan today. All good and we saw a little heartbeat. Feel such a relief. Finally feels real and we’re really excited

We have 3 embryos out of 4 mature eggs and are awaiting a day 5 transfer on Sunday morning. I am finding this time so nerve wracking. Very worried they might not make it that far but embryologist seemed positive (originally suggested a day 3 transfer) so hopefully they know what they are doing?! 🤞🤞🤞

ahh well I’m ok thanks, went to the doc, they don’t seem to be worried about my weird neck pain (I still am of course)

BUT today the meds have been fun OMG cranky! I’m full of rage and have been storming around the house like a very grumpy bear! Not helped by the cat tripping me up this morning resulting in 2 whole cups of coffee (mine decaf obvs) on the CREAM carpet. All went downhill from there really.

SUNDAY! That’s so close and ever so exciting. I have everything crossed for you for Sunday and any frosties are a bonus 😊

@StormsPassIVF i can only imagine how annoying that was to clean up first thing. I remember when my husband was swigging milk in the middle of the night and our cat attacked his leg out of nowhere and he jumped and spilt the milk all over the kitchen 😂 he was furious but the cat looked pretty smug about the whole thing if I’m honest 😂

@Natasha90 have you tried them rectally? I did all mine that way. No mess at all.

@JadeAC I have tried that, however after 30 mins or so I get really bad diarrhoea. Sorry for TMI xx

Today I've had a bright red heavy bleed, I phoned the clinic they said they couldn't see me as its heavy bleeding and I would have to go to a&e, spent 5 hours there and they said they also can't scan me today and won't do anything unless I've soaked through 4/5 pads😪 they checked my cervix and its still closed so only good thing I'm clinging onto at the minute, I've got to wait till my scan that's booked on Monday, it's going to be such a long wait not knowing....I've had mild period cramps and back ache which is worrying me but the bleeding has slowed down but not stopped yet.....this journey is so tough even when you get a bfp...im feeling so upset today.

@LavenderJoy gosh, that sounds really scary 🫂. I know a lot of women get bleeding early on and it turns out the baby is fine. I know it's impossible not to be extremely worried but if the bleeding is slowing down then that is a good sign 🤞🤞🤞

@LavenderJoy I’m thinking of you. I cannot begin to imagine how stressful and upsetting it must be especially leaving A&E with only half and answer.

Thank you everyone, bleeding has slowed but still have some mild cramping, so im hoping I wake up the same way tomorrow and no more blood 🤞, I'm still not convinced though as I know the start of a misscarriage can be different for everyone and progesterone can prolong the inevitable.

How are things today @LavenderJoy ?

@JadeAC the bleeding tapered off last night but then I woke up at 2am with period cramps and more bleeding, I honestly sobbed most of the night as I thought I was having a misscarriage, but this morning is has easy off again and just some red bleeding when I wipe so I have no idea what's going on. If I'm honest I am preparing for the worst tomorrow. The hospital can't get me in for a scan untill Wednesday so I have that as a back up if the clinic can't scan me tomorrow if I'm still bleeding.
I felt ill last night and was sick this morning so dont if they are good or bad signs.

@LavenderJoy I can only imagine how worrying that is. If you search heavy bleeding early pregnancy on here though there are loads of women you’ve experienced that and it’s not been a miscarriage. I know you’re still going to worry until you’ve had the scan and I think anyone would be the same but it’s not definitely bad news.
