IVF September

Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

Its unusually quiet on here hope everyone is doing ok.

Im currently on my 4th day of FET meds. Well after a textbook fresh cycle this one isn’t as fun.

Day 1 - awful diarrhoea
Day 2 - fine but paranoid about shitting myself after Day 1 episode
Day 3 - pain in the front of neck - obviously Dr Google says it’s my thyroid so panicking it’s all over
Day 4 - still pain in neck - waiting for GP appt AND OMG the gas! Can’t stop farting. It’s like a German oompah band - working from home today luckily

Oh and I swear my skin has doubled in thickness as I really have to push hard to get those buggers of a needle in.

Only on day 4 and really not having any fun this time and can’t concentrate to work because obviously Dr Google thyroid panic means everything is ruined 😂😂

@StormsPassIVF you have a way with words! Sorry it's been a tough start to the FET journey.
Had my egg collection today and got 7 eggs out of a possible 7 follicles 🥹. I was absolutely terrified going in and am now in a state of disbelief.

@JadeAC good luck for Friday, mine is next Monday and I'm nervous already! My symptoms keep coming and going so keep thinking it's a bad sign!

@StormsPassIVF sorry to hear the meds are egucing you side effects, I know what u mean about your skin becoming thick, this must be a thing as my lubion injections are so difficult now, it's as it my skin has got really tough.

@StormsPassIVF Thats quite a description 😂😂😂 To be honest though I got massive gas after transfer, it was not pleasant 😂

@StormsPassIVF I hope your symptoms ease off soon 💩.

I have another scan tomorrow, then hopefully will book transfer in next week. Start the pessaries and lubion.

Not holding out much hope as embryo is only graded a 3bc.

@Natasha90 when you read people’s stories people have had failures with good quality and success with less so. They wouldn’t use them if they weren’t good enough.

@JadeAC literally holding on to it only takes 1.

I'm driving myself mad with google and looking for success stories.

Christmas just makes this journey so much harder 😞

What date did you test from?

Apart from you ladies. There's only 2 people who know about this round. My husband and my best friend.

I just tell myself that everyone has their own struggles. I have a lovely husband and family a good job, a nice home and a lovely (when he feels like it) cat. Those people who fall pregnant so easily probably envy you for something else.

thats great transfer should be next week and yes as Jade says so many lovely stories of the lower grade being the goodun so as Bon Jovi would say ‘keep the faith’

@LavenderJoy yes that’s odd about thick skin isn’t it! It is with the ovaleap. Can’t wait to be on Lubion, I’ve been sent teeny weeny needles this time so hoping I won’t need to ice it 😊 if we get that far

how soon can you jump into the next round of IVF after a fail transfer? does anyone here has previous experience. looking for some insight :)

@ka3rine I had the period from my failed fresh transfer. I started my frozen transfer meds on my next period.

It of course depends when you clinic can fit you in for the Dr planning appt and getting meds delivered etc…

@StormsPassIVF we have an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday as she is on holiday this week. I stop my progesterone already and waiting to bleed.

Did you mean you started immediately taking medication for the next cycle after your period?

Has anyone as well did the Mock transfer testing? ERA test?

@ka3rine thats great your appointment is so soon.

So I didn’t start on the period that came immediately after my failed transfer.

Its the next one.

So I had my transfer 13sept, that failed. Had the period on 25th September.

Now started meds on the next period which started 20th October.

If your cycle is regular it comes around quick.

So sorry for your BFN @ka3rine, I know how disappointing it feels. It's good to be proactive, but allow yourself to be upset for a while too.

Your list of symptoms name me chuckle @StormsPassIVF! Hope it starts to ease up for you before too long. I have my meds arriving on Friday, but only oestrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries.

@Natasha90, hope your friend is ok but also that her message wasn't too painful for you to see. I find people's pregnancy announcements hard to hear. How has she taken the news?

@fsr111 to be honest she's like I'm not sure etc. I think we're i am mid cycle my emotions are all over the place.

Just in the clinic now waiting for my appointment for my scan / appointment now.
