Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

I emailed them and they just replied with this - "The embryology team will be in touch today with your next steps." 😭😭😭

@JadeAC yes thank you, i just had a call from the clinic today and my numbers were right in the middle of the range of where I should be for 4 weeks so she felt there was no need to repeat the test, she didn't give me a number but I think that's probably best for me as I would obsessively Google the number after and compare so I feel better not knowing. I'm feeling better today and more positive, I did a clearblue today and got a strong positive so I'm keeping everything crossed and going to try and enjoy being pregnant and put the tests down lol x

@LavenderJoy Thats great news! I know what you mean about the anxiety though. I feel abit of imposter syndrome when I talk about being pregnant. Like at the back of my brain I’m thinking it’s not gunna work out. Im having my scan week commencing 23rd and I’ll be 7 weeks then so I think I’m going to really be able to enjoy it after that. Im obviously over the moon and I don’t want to sound a Debbie downer because so far so good but I think having fertility issues and friends with fertility issues never lets you totally live in the moment.

@JadeAC - it’s funny I know this but somehow still desperately trying to find something to tell me how things are going. I think it’s a control thing!

Thanks all - it was ICSI.

Seems like plan B is ICSI after IVF, so unsure of our options now...

Got a call tomorrow so hope they can enlighten us.

@bloss0mx sorry to hear that, I'm sure they will have a plan for you and give you an insight to why, take care of yourself. sometimes they can change the type/brand of stimulation injections which can make all the difference, I had the option to try a different medication this time if I wanted to, but just went for a higher dose instead.
This journey is so tough and shitty!

@JadeAC thank you, don't think I'll ever relax its beacsue we go through much to get here, years of heartache and hope and when it's finally our turn its too hard to believe, I never thought I could get pregnant after multiple failed cycles and 3 operations later, I'm just in total shock and still denying it 😂 I'm not sure how my partner is going to put up with me if I'm honest haha!

@JadeAC Good luck with your scan, I haven't got a date yet, im just hoping I make it there 🙏 🤞

@Arundel8 stay positive. you only need 1 egg. try and celebrate small wins :)

@JadeAC i also have 1 fertilise egg.

I got a call from the embryologist earlier and he said its a very good news and all went well. they fertilise the egg that was collected from me.

So I will have the FET on Thursday.

@LavenderJoy I think any pregnancy is nerve wracking, but I think it's definitely next level when you've been through treatment. For now just take joy in the fact that your little bean is growing!

I'm a week in to my 2WW and I'm going crazy with anxiety. The symptom guessing is off the scale and I'm so emotional it's ridiculous. I wish I could just press a button and fast forward a week! xxx

@West8690 we must be pretty much aligned in our timings - my OTD is next Tuesday…thought quite tempted to test this Friday so I have the weekend to manage expectations etc.
Do you have any symptoms yet? I have to say I have really noticed any

@Arundel8 I've had cramps since transfer and sore boobs and a bit sickly, but I'm putting it all down to the lubion. Keep thinking I'm just going to bleed.

@West8690 that sounds really promising!!
I am very much managing my expectations as my blood results show my progesterone is sky high (270?!) but no symptoms so doesn’t feel like it has worked. But I am trying to stay positive and I guess you never know?

@Arundel8 yes I think a positive attitude is amazing. I felt ok until yesterday then just had a massive wobble. My last 2 rounds have ended in miscarriages so I think I'm just constantly on edge.
I don't think there's any right or wrong when it comes to symptoms - I think it's so hard to know what's med symptoms and what isn't!

@bloss0mx so sorry to hear that this cycle wasn’t a good one for you. I’m sure they’ll come up with a good plan for next steps, with eacc setback they learn what went well and what didn’t and the success rate is supposed to go up each time.

@LavenderJoy @JadeAC really happy to hear your news! 👏 my clinic called me in for a very early scan on Monday (6 weeks) and we saw first heart beat. They scanned early because my Hcg levels were particularly high so wanted to rule some things out.
how are you both feeling? The tiredness hit me last week like a plank.

@purplerain92 oh congratulations, that must have been amazing. And such a relief to see that heartbeat.

I don’t really have any symptoms other than proper tiredness. I’m back on nights next week and I feel I’m gunna be like the walking dead haha

I have a scan booked on the 30th October, if eveything still goes to plan I will be 7weeks+2 by then so seems so long away 🤞

@JadeAC good luck for your night shifts! Yeah the decaf tea is just not cutting it, gave up caffeine a few months ago and resorted to eating lots of sugar on the weekend (when I shouldn’t have been tired at all..)
but yeah apart from tiredness I’ve been feeling pretty hungry actually, needing to snack lots. Feel like I’ve put on loads of weight what with the ivf and not exercising 😐 ah well.
after the transfer I could definitely feel the implantation point, as could feel where embryo put in and for the next 2/3 days after that could feel sharp twinge in the same area. Also sneezed and that particularly point felt really sore! My tummy also really hurt when standing up for about a week after transfer but that has all gone now, maybe from the egg collection still. 💭 how about you?

@purplerain92 i had cramps right from transfer but they seem to have died off now so it’s just the tiredness really. I know what you mean about those random pains when you sneeze or cough though.
