Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

@West8690 I know exactly what you mean. We have no children yet and the amount of questions we get are staggering. For me I don’t actually mind people asking if I have children or if I want them but it’s always for me about whether it’s meant well. Intention is everything.

@West8690 I have a huge number of invasive fertility questions all the time and it hurts like hell (we are severe MFI and we have only told one friend who had a lot of IVF so is an amazing support). Sorry they were so insensitive, I actually think it's real ignorance on their part of how brutal infertility is.

@JadeAC @LavenderJoy lovely to see your BFPs. Massive congratulations.

I am starting stims again tomorrow and am really nervous after my cancelled cycle (I have been downregging for 10 days as now on long protocol). It's been so helpful for my mental health to see the range of outcomes here, so thank you all for sharing. Fingers crossed for some more good news soon 🤞🤞🤞

@JadeAC thank you🥰. I have been downregging for 12 days today and the stimming phase will hopefully be around 15 days to egg collection. So not too long hopefully if things go more to plan 🤞

I agree too and hate all the questions, sometimes it's even worse by the ones who know what you are going through and still ask insensitive questions, I really don't think many ppl understand how much it is emotionally difficult until you have been through something like that themselves.

Im lucky no one really asks me and if they do I just reply with - cats. Then they think I’m a crazy cat lady and leave it alone xx

@JadeAC @TheFanciestPants people asked all the time before we had our little one, I feel like if people approach it cautiously or at least delicately, it's fine. Its those that done, ESPECIALLY the ones that make statements like 'oooh you don't want to leave it too long' 🤦🏻‍♀️

@StormsPassIVF we have the cats too 🤣🤣🤣

@West8690 ah, thank you! We are ttc #1 so we still get a LOT of questions. I am very vague with answers like not yet, but it's so hurtful given where we are.

Sort of excited about starting stims but also sort of terrified. If that makes sense?! I have a short menstrual cycle so down regging should help with avoiding early dominant follicles (hopefully!). I had my follow up cycle bought forward as my follicles are looking good at the moment, so all a rush again! I have started drinking a litre of milk a day as apparently that should help with egg quality.

I have done another test today on my OTD, and the first response is a clear line the same as yesterday's, but the clinics test is much fainter than the control line, I think the brand is called invitech. Do you think I should be worried? I'm 11dp5dt today. It doesn't help that i woke up with some period pains this morning and a bit of brown spotting again.
I really want it to work out 😪
I'm going to speak to the nurse today and see what she says, I really want to be happy that I have 2 lines as its never happened before but i just have this constant worry its not dark enough.

@LavenderJoy different tests have different sensitivities so the lines being different strengths is not necessarily a cause for concern.
See what the nurse says, but some options are to use the same brand test as your original in a few days or have a blood test 2 days apart. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

@StormsPassIVF yes, 3 injections from this evening! The nurse said I definitely deserve chocolate afterwards 😁

Thank you @JadeAC and @TheFanciestPants, the nurse has reassured me today she said the lines are definitely a positive and sometimes they are lighter as it takes a while for hormones to pick up, im praying for a sticky jelly bean 🙏they have taken my bloods today so hopefully I get a good result tomorrow. I started to have some more pink and brown spotting today which worried me and a little bit of cramping. This ivf malarkey is relentless even with a BFP, its so hard to be happy but I think it because I can't believe it's actually happening to me!

hello, been in and out of this thread. i just had my very first egg collection today. the embryologist called and said we have a mature egg and they can do fertilisation. I am asked to come back on Thursday for the FET. also from tomorrow i have cyclogest 400mg (2x/day) for 22 day.

Coming back in after my little break away. Waiting for AF to arrive on Sunday then I should have a scan then start meds to have my 1 and only 3bc transferred.

Congratulations to everyone on their BFP so far.

I'm routing for all of you ❤️.

Hi @ka3rine - I had my first EC yesterday too! Also on the low end with two mature eggs and a borderline line. Currently waiting for the call to see if they have fertilised. 🙏🙏🙏 Hope you are feeling okay after EC and good luck. 💕

Hi - currently in the 2WW after a 3 day transfer last Thursday.
Getting anxious as not having any symptoms yet. Anyone else seeing anything?
This is my third transfer and I am 41 with low AMH. Only produce a few (1-3) follicles and this time we did mild IVF (at ARGC) which resulted in one egg. Really trying to stay positive but it’s so hard - thoughts like why bother, it’s clearly because you have bad quality eggs keep coming into my mind.

Actually the only symptom I have got is an increase in appetite but not sure if that’s just due to the stress…

@bloss0mx fingers crossed! We only ended up with one fertilised so stay positive.

@Arundel8 The 2ww is horrendous. If I learnt anything from my extensive over searching then it’s that there is no same symptoms that mean it’s worked or not. Some people have the same symptoms but end up with different outcomes so you just have to try and stay positive. I know that’s easier said than done though.
