Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

I'm currently 8 hours post 5dt and I'm already freaking out. Feeling tired and crampy but I think it's just the anxiety of everything wearing me out, barely slept last night and finally gave in and got up at 5 this morning and went to the gym for one last workout before the 2ww. I've got to wait until Monday the 16th for OTD too - an extra day because day 12 would be a Sunday when my clinic is closed! Gahhhhh

Im going mad, haven’t been to the gym in a month as I thought I’d tack covid on the end of my BFN just for a laugh. Hope to get back to it on the weekend.

Although the clinic said the crippling pains in my guts was coming off the progesterone I actually think it was the covid so hopefully won’t have to go through that again as it was agony.

@JadeAC haha i know! To be honest it’s the perfect timing. Trying to not get covid during stims and before my egg transfer was stressful and impractical.

Now the antibodies are back up I feel I can just be normal on the next rounds.

we see the doc on 16th to find out when we can put one of our two frosties in.

@StormsPassIVF oh that’s good they’ve got you in so soon. Must really take the pressure off to have those Frosties.

@LostIVF How are you? Has your bleeding stopped?

@JadeAC it does take the pressure off and we have 2 more cycles if this doesn’t work. Even then, I think we will continue onto a 4th if needed. I’m 39 this month so just need to get on with it 😊

what happens now for you? Do you just book you scan in or does your clinic do a blood test?

my OTD isn’t till Friday so I have to do the test they gave me on Friday and then ring them. I’m not really sure.

Caved and tested this morning, two days before OTD and it was a BFN. Guessing I'm not totally out yet, but will help me prepare for Friday's result now. So hard not to symptom spot and convince yourself everything is a sign, at least now I can manage my expectations.

After a nerve-wracking few days, today I had my 5dt with our only embryo, grade 5BCbc. Low grade so we know the chances of success aren't great but I'm still so glad we made it this far. Our OTD is 15th Oct.

@fsr111 your not out yet, they say 2 weeks for a reason. You’re right though everything is over thought and questioned. I saw this yesterday and it’s so true.

I feel that some of my symptoms are fading and im just left with backache and cramping today, I moan when I have them and moan when I don't, it's such a mind fuck during the 2ww.
I was looking back at some notes I made of my symptoms during my last cycle a BFN and they are almost identical day by day, so I can see it going the same way 😪

Hi all, congratulations @JadeAC - fingers crossed the line will get stronger!

I cannot go into details, as internal review process has been started in the clinic. Received multiple apology calls today. We are considering to raise an official complaint by ourselves as well, at present don’t have energy to do this yet.

Just feeling really let down - we were so positive and happy with the process, felt very safe with the clinic and nursing guidance. We can only hope the next one goes better.

I absolutely hate to write this as have nurses in my family and friend group, but push to speak with your doctor - just push it if you feel the nurses guidance is not good enough.

@JadeAC OTD is Monday, so not long to go. In a werid way equally don't want it to be over.

@LavenderJoy yeah i can understand that. I’ve just found this bit much more intense that’s I was expecting. Im usually ultra chilled and at times I haven’t recognised myself with the anxiousness and being abit of a Debbie downer. It’s not a nice process.
