Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

@JadeAC they said my treatment plan doesn't indicate I need any bloods... 🥴 Looks like I have to just hope for the best on day 10!

@bloss0mx that sounds really positive. It really isn’t a one size fits all is it. Everyone’s treatment and experience is so different

Thinking back to my fresh cycles, I was scanned on cycle day 5/6 then evey other day up to egg collection and near the end it was everyday for the last 2 days to make sure it was timed right.

@JadeAC l’m good thanks only super tough part has been the withdrawal symptoms I had coming off the progesterone. I think it’s not common but I was in a lot of pain, like not period pains but shooting pains in my guts. It lasted 2/3 days but much better now.

I have my appointment at the clinic on 16th Oct to plan for my first FET 🙂

All I can say is try to embrace the TWW it drags and then it’s gone so fast.

That sounds painful! I’m struggling abit with this tww. I’ve felt since I had the transfer that my period is coming. I know it could be the progesterone but just feels like it does before my period. Still early days though so fingers crossed

I hear you @JadeAC, I can already feel the TWW dragging. I felt really rough straight after the transfer and now I feel better, I've convinced myself that's probably a bad sign.

Glad you're ok @StormsPassIVF. Can I ask, has your period started now? How long after stopping the progesterone did it take to come?

Good luck for your TWW @LavenderJoy. Hope you got some answers on the bleeding, sure it was probably just your cervix irritated.

Hope everyone has nice weekends planned and can take their minds off this rollercoaster process!

@fsr111 hey!! So my test day was the Sunday (11 days post transfer). The clinic was closed so still did my progesterone on the Sunday and Monday morning. My period started on the Monday and I’d technically not stopped the progesterone at that point - so 12 days post transfer

@fsr111 thank you! He said that it could be that my cervix is sensitive although there was quite a bit it did stop after so I'm hoping it hasn't done any harm, I started read that if blood gets into the uterus it will harm the embryo then started to panic, don't know why I do that to myself!

@JadeAC how many days are you into your 2ww? I'm only one day past and have a feeling it won't work already, it's so hard to shake of the negativity 😪

@LavenderJoy im 7dp3dt. I’ve had what I would call period twinges/cramps right from the transfer and they haven’t gone. It’s just feels like period is right around the corner. I know it could be meds but like you say it’s really hard to shake that negativity once it creeps in. Have you had any symptoms? (Not that you can really go off them)

@LavenderJoy I’ve just realised you meant one day past transfer. I wouldn’t be getting negative yet! It’s unbelievably early. Realistically it won’t have worked or not worked yet. The embryo will not have even started to implant yet so chin up. Positive thoughts

@JadeAC yeah I'm only 2dp today so I know im being ridiculous, think it's just my way of trying to prepare myself for a negative test again as my on my last fresh cycle, all 3 transfers failed :( no, no symptoms yet, feel completely normal, although (not symptoms related) but when bladders full it's quite painful and uncomfortable, i feel liek i cant stand up straight, so I might mention it to the nurses when they ring as it's been like that since the day of transfer, feels like I'm all bloated and there's no room for my bladder if thay makes sense 😆

@LavenderJoy you’re not being ridiculous, it’s natural to want to prepare yourself when you’ve been through this before. This tww is the worst thing about the whole process.

@JadeAC TWW definitely starting to consume my thoughts more and more. I just wish I could stop googling things! Determined to hold out until OTD but the urge to test earlier is quite strong!

Evening all.

I have started my 2ww today, please can I join you??
I'm 39 and had a 5aa popped back in today. This is our second cycle of icsi. First one we managed 10 fertilised embryos but only one blastocyst that unfortunately ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks (pregnancy tissue was tested and revealed chromosomal abnormality... one of those things, we were told)

This time (by some miracle, given that I have now turned 39) we had 15 embryos turn into 8 blasts. 1 in today and 7 in the freezer.

I am very conscious that I'm getting on for pretty ancient in terms of egg quality. But as my friend said, it's not like your body knows exactly when you turn 39 and then immediately destroys your fertility Hmm

@fsr111 im exactly the same. I’ve googled everything. I think I might cane on Monday as that will be 2 weeks after the trigger.
@SarahScone Hi, hope you’re feeling ok after your transfer. That sounds like a great cycle! I’m 36 and we got 5 eggs but only one we could use which was transferred day 3. I bet your over the moon with that many in the freezer

Amazing cycle, great to have so many in the freezer. We had 5 embryos, one in and one in the freezer. Best of luck with your TWW! When is your OTD?

Caving on Monday after two weeks sounds totally reasonable @JadeAC, no chance of any lingering trigger. I was actually thinking of caving on Wednesday but DH was quite outraged at the suggestion and now I feel like I can't...

@fsr111 its tricky when your not on the same page. I suppose it’s only an extra 2 days so not worth falling out over. I think just with the AF symptoms I’ve had I can’t relax and just want to know one way or the other. I think if I hadn’t had that I would have been able to wait…maybe 😂

Bad news for us this morning. It was all going so well - I had 11 eggs collected on Friday but only 2 have fertilised. I'm not sure we'll be doing a transfer on Wednesday after all 😥 This reeaally sucks!

@taytay2020 oh I’m sorry! We only had one fertilised in the end but they put that in on day 3. Can they not just put one of the 2 that have fertilised In?
