@taytay2020 thank you 😊 I am feeling fine today mentally but really suffering with period cramps, my whole gut is cramping, never experienced anything like it. Hot water bottle is helping x

taytay2020 · 26/09/2023 09:04

I'm almost certainly doing egg collection on Friday. I've got a scan tomorrow and they'll check my oestrogen level again to confirm and decide which trigger I should take.

How did you all feel after your egg collection? I'm currently supposed to be working on Friday evening, it won't be strenuous but I'll need to stand up, look smart and speak politely to other humans. Should I cancel it now?!

StormsPassIVF · 26/09/2023 09:10

@taytay2020 good luck for Friday
You def don’t want to work that evening.

As you’ll have been sedated you legally can’t drive for 24hrs and you may be a bit sore afterwards. I want sore but I felt delicate and couldn’t walk fast. My EC was on a Friday and felt capable of getting back to work on the Monday xx

JadeAC · 26/09/2023 12:16

@taytay2020 good luck for Friday! That’s exciting. I was quite achy for the rest of the day and still felt the affects of the meds so like @StormsPassIVF said you won’t be able to drive.

fsr111 · 26/09/2023 12:42

@taytay2020, I'd agree not to work Friday evening. I wasn't especially uncomfortable by the evening, but i was tired. I went back to work the day after and felt fine. Good luck for EC!

Feeling absolutely exhausted today after transfer yesterday, think it's just the end of the cycle and all the hormones / emotions catching up with me. Seem to remember someone else saying they felt the same.

Hope your cramps don't last too long @StormsPassIVF.

LavenderJoy · 26/09/2023 13:31

@fsr111 yes I felt like that too on previous cycles, I think by that point all your hormone levels are rising.

I agree, I wouldn't work, I had pain for a couple of days after.

I had an update today from the lab, my day 3 Embryo survived the thaw yay, so fingers crossed it makes it to a blastocyst, if it doesn't or if its a lower grade they will thaw my day 5 i have in the freezee. I am really hoping it makes it so I still have 2 shots!

Chickencrazy3356 · 26/09/2023 17:41

@fsr111 I haven’t had my FET yet but after my EC I was beyond exhausted for 2 weeks I’ve never experienced tiredness like it and I think it was suddenly stopping the hormones hoping the 2WW passes quickly for you

@LavenderJoy everything crossed for your day 3 how are you feeling about it all?

Chickencrazy3356 · 26/09/2023 17:44

I had my last cardiac appointment today I’m a bit anxious I’ve had to double up on my medication and my consultant said if I get a BFP I need to half my dose then he will take me off the meds and change to something else as these medications are not good to take in the 1st 4 months however I just feel anxious about taking them even before my transfer incase they cause issues

has anybody else been on long term medication when did you stop ?

StormsPassIVF · 26/09/2023 18:13

@fsr111 thank you and wishing you all the best for the TWW 🥰

LavenderJoy · 26/09/2023 20:30

@Chickencrazy3356 I'm feeling excited but also really nervous and that dreaded feeling is coming back, don't know how I'm going to get through the 2ww, I really wish I can fast forward to Thursday to know if it makes it and the grade...

has anyone has any day 3 grade 1 turn out to be a good blastocyst before?

I can't help you @Chickencrazy3356 sorry as I haven't been on any long term meds x

JadeAC · 27/09/2023 10:18

I’m not really having any symptoms. Hard not to read too much into it. Trying not too though

JadeAC · 27/09/2023 10:18

I’m 7dp3dt

taytay2020 · 27/09/2023 11:01

Just had my last scan, only 2 more jabs to go, woohoo! Now waiting for a phone call after they get today's blood test results - to confirm which trigger to take tonight, what time to take it, when to come in for EC on Friday, and whether they'll let us do a fresh transfer this cycle (although EC is another chance for them to say no to this even if they don't say no today). I'm high risk for OHSS so think low oestrogen thoughts for me please everyone!

fsr111 · 27/09/2023 11:40

I was thinking of you @JadeAC - when it OTD? Are you going to hold out? I really want to say I'm going to, but I'm not sure I will...

Good luck @taytay2020 - keeping everything crossed for EC and positive news on when you can have your transfer.

I'm still in the depths of deep exhaustion, hoping it's a side effect of the progesterone that doesn't last too long, I can't get myself together.

bloss0mx · 27/09/2023 11:44

Positive vibes @JadeAC and good luck for Friday @taytay2020 ! 🤞🤞🤞

I had my base line scan and currently on day 3 of stims. Next scan is not until day 10 and seems to be the only one - is this normal with NHS? 🥹

JadeAC · 27/09/2023 12:08

Good luck @taytay2020

@fsr111 my official test day is 6th October. When is yours? At the start I was sure I was gunna wait but the wait is killing me so maybe I’ll go early. I’m exhausted as well. It hasn’t really gone yet. Maybe it is the progesterone.

fsr111 · 27/09/2023 13:43

@JadeAC mine is 6 October too, at 11dp5dt, yours must be the full 14 days. It's going to be the longest week! Sorry to hear you're exhausted too, sending solidarity!

JadeAC · 27/09/2023 13:54

@fsr111 i think it’s because our embryos are the same age mine just went in me on the 3rd day and yours the 5th. On my research I think on percentages you have a bit of a better success rate on the 5 day transfer like you’ve had but it’s only a couple
of percentage so fingers crossed! Are you going to wait or test early?

taytay2020 · 27/09/2023 13:56

Thanks @fsrfsr111 and @JadeAC !

I'm no expert but that seems a very long time @bloss0mx - they considered getting me to take my trigger shot on day 9 and this was decided by a blood test on day 8. But perhaps it varies person to person and they're not expecting anything drastic to happen to you for a while..?!

JadeAC · 28/09/2023 15:05

@bloss0mx I was with nhs and I only had the scan in day 10 once I started the injections. I only went in for bloods on other days.

bloss0mx · 28/09/2023 15:23

@taytay2020 @JadeAC thanks for replies!

@JadeAC when did you go in for bloods? I've not been booked in for any... 🥴

JadeAC · 28/09/2023 15:33

@bloss0mx I started my injections on the Friday and I did bloods on the following monday, Wednesday, Friday ans they would ring me on the afternoon each time I had bloods to discuss the dosage of injections and then I had the bloods and scan day 10 and took the trigger that night. I was on what they call short protocol though so maybe that’s why. I only did 10days of injections and did my egg collection day 12

bloss0mx · 28/09/2023 15:35

@JadeAC thanks - super useful because I'm also on a short protocol... going to contact them now!

x

JadeAC · 28/09/2023 15:38

@bloss0mx keep me posted!

LavenderJoy · 28/09/2023 15:41

I had my embryo transfer today, my day 3 made it to a blastocyst today thank god!! it was a 3AB this morning and then by the time I got to the transfer it was a 4AB which I am pleased with. I did bleed quite a bit during the transfer, I haven't before, he said I have a sensitive cervix but I'm just hoping it doesn't effect anything, has anyone else bled during the transfer before?
