Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

@ka3rine are you taking supplements? It's probably way too late to be useful this round, but I was told to take Coenzyme Q10 and something called DHEA to help my eggs grow. Ideally for weeks beforehand - obvi I'm not a Dr so this is not medical advice, best ask your nurses!

Hi everyone could I join please, I was in the August group but think it's reached its limit 🙂

Abit about my background, this is my 2nd rp3und of ivf, 1st round I had 3 blastocysts, unfortunately all 3 were unsuccessful (1 fresh 2 medicated FETs) i then started my 2nd cycle which resulted in a freeze all last month due to high oestrogen levels, so I am now trying a natural FET this month and had my positive ovualtion test today so transfer is booked in for Thursday, Eek! From this round I have 1xday 3 grade 1 and a 4ab in the freezer. They are going to thaw the day 3 first to day 5. I'm feeling hopefully for the moment as the natural cycle as been a breeze which makes a change 😂

AF has finally arrived and I have my base line scan on Monday. Super relieved his SA showed covid made no impact thankfully but also feeling anxious now as it is our first cycle... 😬 eeks!

My test day is tomorrow and I’ve been desperate to test all week but now that it is so close I don’t want to test 😂

Welcome @LavenderJoy - sending you all the positive vibes for this cycle. Does a natural FET 'mean you go with your body without all the stimulants? Sorry if I'm being ignorant.

Hope your transfer went ok yesterday @JadeAC . I'm waiting for the call this morning to find out if it's today or Monday. I'm actually working today; so it's making it all quite stressful as I don't know if I'll be in or not. I think I've found the total inability to plan anything the most stressful part of the experience so far (until TWW!).

Actually one question, those of you taking the progesterone- have you had any side effects? My stomach is in super unhappy and has been since I started it. Just wondering if it's a coincidence or a side effect.

@fsr111 I had a ton of bloating which finally calmed down a few days ago but no upset stomach.

Although upset stomach is an official side effect so it may very well be the meds x

@StormsPassIVF Good luck for tomorrow, the 2ww and test day is definitely the hardest part of the process.

@fsr111 yes that's right, my lining has thicken naturally, had a couple of scans to track a dominant follicle and used home ovulation tests to wait for the natural surge, beacuse that was yesterday, they count 6 days after a positive test to transfer a day 5. I am having cyclogest 2x a day and lubion injections which I start to today to support, also on prednisolone and baby aspirin, I suppose that makes it sound not natural haha!
On my previous medicated FET I had low progesterone now I'm thinking becausw I will have natural plus meds I hope it doesn't go the other way and be to much, there's always something to worry about.

And yes, I have lots of symptoms with progesterone and they have been different each cycle, its definitely not nice stuff 😕

I know haha, I had the exact same thought it's not really very natural lol, only good thing this time is that I hated the way progynova made me feel, I don't think my body likes it, so at the moment I feel great, but I know that will change as soon as I start my injection today.

I heard from the clinic and transfer is booked for Monday morning. All five embryos going well nice grades / numbers, so I can relax now and go to work!

@fsr111 amazing news!! Definitely sounds like you will get some good blastocysts there! How exciting!

I was disappointed with this round although I have 2 which I am lucky to have, I had 10 to start with but they just dwindled down at each stage, but equally glad I have 2 good grades as last time although I had more the grades weren't as good quality so really hoping it's quality over quantity for me.

Hi, thanks for all the well wishes, it really does make the difference to know others know what you’re going through.

yesterday went well and we find out about the second embryo on Monday. Just waiting game. The embryologist did say not to use any clear blue tests though as she said they can test false positive as they pick up something from the trigger injection. I’m just going to wait the full 14days and use the rest they gave me just to be sure.

@fsr111 good much for Monday! Sounds like you’ve had a great cycle. I’ve been ok on the progesterone but I’m shattered. Maybe it’s the process or maybe the meds, who knows.

@tallbird3 yes I am taking DHEA 3x a day - on my 2nd bottle now and CoQ10 600mg for 2 months now. I guess because im taking those meds just lately that is why i havent seen them help that much.

I'm now on stims day 6 but yesterday and today I had EWCM - in a normal cycle this is a clear sign I'm about to ovulate. I've now had two doses of fyremadel so obviously I shouldn't be able to, but it's still making me nervous! Did anyone else get their EWCM during stims?!

we had some tentative good news this morning 😀 first ever positive pregnancy test. Blood test is booked for Monday so just got to hope it’s really good news after all.

@taytay2020 i definitely did, more than usual. So sounds normal to me 😊

also those asking for side effects of progesterone, would say yes have occasionally had some diarrhoea but not every day.
