Hi there, I start my medication for a fresh IVF round in September. Im not the best at navigating mumsnet and wondering if there are any groups set up for people starting around the same time? X

Hey @fsr111 ahh thanks for checking in on me 😊

Im 8dp5dt now and have had mild cramps throughout. Had a couple of slightly stronger ones yesterday which of course got me worried and starting to feel like my period is close by but a lot of people say that and still get a positive so trying not to think too much into it.

3 more days to test day eeek! I don’t feel like it will be a positive atm but want it to be 😬

How are you feeling today after EC? I have my fingers crossed for you fertilisation update from the lab today xx

I have been good and still not tested. As hard as it is I’m holding out for my Sunday test date.

hi @StormsPassIVF 😊 not gonna lie I’m starting to struggle with all the injections now, feeling not many symptoms and just doesn’t feel like anything is different. So tired of it all. Well done to you for staying strong!
we are thinking of testing on Saturday at 8dp5dt, have read that we might get a result by then so going to give it a go… the not knowing is really hard!

Ahh @purplerain92 I hear you on the injections.

Ive started icing beforehand and my clinic said to rub the area after to disperse the meds which has really helped with the bruising. They are getting better.

You are doing amazing. Good luck if you do test xx

Just heard from the clinic and all five eggs have fertilised, so that's good news. Now just on tenterhooks to see what day they do the transfer.

I'm going to try and take after you @StormsPassIVF and not test, but I'm really not sure how well I'll fair! I'm full of admiration at your will power!

@purplerain92 they just asked me to do a home test and tell them the result. I don’t think they do blood tests at mine

yes my problem also is I’d much rather test on a weekend than during the week… always been like that. I want to know the result if it’s positive but not if it’s negative, wah so confusing 😵‍💫. also that’s quite nice they’ve asked for a home test, part of me would rather take a normal test then hear result over the phone.

Hospital called. Out of the 4 one didn’t survive and one didn’t fertilise well but two have fertilised really well so would be ok to go back in. She said those two look really good. She said if something changes over night and they are only left with one they will put it in tomorrow but that’s not likely. If all is well with them tomorrow then it will be Monday. Cautiously excited for get to the next stage.

@StormsPassIVF I think the stage you’re at is the hardest. It’s just the waiting. My friend was convinced her period was coming and she was so down but turns out she was pregnant and the cramps were from implementation. Th e problem is the symptoms for both are very similar aren’t they?

Ive got everything crossed for those waiting for their test day. Stay positive.

I have just had a call with the clinic and i will have my frozen transfer next month on my next cycle.

can I just ask about progesterone? When I look it up people seem to to be on 400mg twice a day or 200mg 3 times a day. Mine is 400mg 3 times a day. Is anyone else on that as it seems a lot.

Scrap above question I called the nurse. I am on more than is advised but it’s because I’m on short protocol so they say 3 x 400mg. I was just panicking

@JadeAC it seems like everyone is different, my friend was on pessaries 3xper day. I am on 2x400s per day but I also have to take an injection of it too everyday

@fsr111 no we are doing it on the NHS so it’s just at the local hospital. Makes it easier for appointments as it’s only 10mins.

I had my 3rd scan today, still not much growth the nurse say. biggest one is at 6mm and the others are 3 and 4mm. At least i did not loose follicles like last cyle. My LH was up a bit so they gave me fyremadel injections for 4 days.

How to help them grow enough for collection 😀

Had a call from hospital this morning. There’s definitely one embryo stronger than the other so they are putting it in today. They will leave the other over the weekend to see if it’s worth freezing but now they know which one is better to choose they want to put it in. Very nervous. I know it’s not great to have maybe ended up with just one but going to be positive. They were only going to put one in anyway and that’s all we need.

I had my 5 day scan today, and progress seems slow but steady. All follicles that are growing are in the 9-11mm range, with no outliers. 4 on one side and 12 (I think) on the other. The nurse said they might find more follicles on the 4 side next week but those were just vague blobs today and unmeasurable.

I was obviously hoping they'd all be ready and I could do my trigger shot tomorrow, now that I know how much the fyremadol jab stings, but no such luck! 😂 But it's about the best news we could have hoped for so I can't really complain. Next scan on Monday.
