@ASGIRC I am secretly hoping for a girl as well. DP wants a boy, my sister wants me to have a boy and my dad wants me to have a boy 😂😂.

Having said that, I’ll be thrilled with whatever we have. 3 of my friends are all having boys so at least there will be plenty of clothes to go around 😂

@IVFfirsttimer91 if you donate your embryos, you'll be helping someone like me! I'm using a donor embryo!

I'm sure I'll come around to a boy, if that's what I'm having, but it will take some getting used to.
However, I have 70% chance of having a girl, as my embryo was a 3AA. Girls develop slower at embryo stage, apparently!! Still, 30% chance of boy!

@ASGIRC It was our first thought tbh, we love the thought of them going to people who need them, rather than them just being destroyed - I absolutely hate the thought of that.

Really?? I didn’t know that at all! That’s really interesting! I’m sure boy or girl it will be great; it is difficult though changing an entire lifetimes way of thinking!

@IVFfirsttimer91 yeah, I also think, if I'd used my own eggs, and wasn't a carrier for a genetic illness, I'd donate them.
Or at least donate them to science.

Haha yes! I found that out reading about grading. 5AA embryos are 80% likely to be male. Basically the male embryos develop much quicker at that stage, on average. Clearly they use up all the energy then, then stall 😂😂😂

@IVFfirsttimer91 that really is an amazing number. Take your time to decide on whether you want more, unsure of your age but I'm sure you have plenty of time yet. Me on the other hand is 40 next month so I am pushing it to get anymore in. I would love 2 though :)

That's a good idea of donating, I've heard of egg donation but never embryo donation, worth looking into as I wouldn't like mine to be wasted. I know how hard infertility can be on a person so would love to help if I could.

@ASGIRC fingers crossed for that girl for you then. I assume that a 5BB would likely to be a boy is it? We are already calling ours 'he' and have already picked a name, id have a shock if it was girl but would honestly be happy either way :)

@SH998 yeah, the 5s tend to be boys.

I only have a girl name picked out, and I'm very set on it 😂

Yeah I've heard 5s are boys too! We have a 5 in and refer to it as he for some reason!! I do reckon it's a boy. I would be so grateful for either but if it's a boy t this time I would want a girl for our second.

Wonder if you can genetically test frozen embryos 🤔

The placenta has taken over and I saw the umbilical chord, and every time I spoke the bean moved it’s little arms and legs.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything cuter in my life guys. It floored me.

@IVFfirsttimer91 ahhhh that sounds magical!! Are you just over 8 weeks now? Was it an abdominal scan? So happy for you!

@wtawtaw of course you can! When you pgt-a test them, you can find out the sex as well as any other genetic things!!

The pain of the spot is driving me bonkers. It is still very deep upder the skin, but it's so swollen, the whole lip looks swollen. Then once it goes white I'll pop it, and will continue to pick at the scab for ages until it heals, which means it will hurt for that much longer!! 😂😂
Also, I'm 40,not 15,so why do I have acne?!?! 😂

@IVFfirsttimer91 OMG that's so amazing!!!! The little arns and legs moving must have been so cute!!
Can't wait to see something similar in 2 weeks! I'll be 9 weeks by then, so should be similar!

@wtawtaw im 9+2 🥰 it was the cutest thing ever. No it was still a transvaginal scan, but at 12 weeks should be the abdominal one :).

@ASGIRC it should be similar yes ❤️❤️ honestly the image I’ve got is so cute, it looks like a little plasticine model with little circles for arms and legs. I can’t wait for everyone else to see similar!

@ASGIRC I’ve heard 5’s tend to be boys too that’s why I think we are convinced it’s a boy. Our frosties are a 3 and 4b so maybe girls. After waiting so long I’d honestly be happy with either. We also have a girls name chosen just in case lol 😂

We have girl and boy names chosen, though not sure how my family are going to react to ‘Rocky’ if it’s a boy 😂

But obviously, @Olivia199 has a DD and it was also a 5! So again, there might be more of a chance of one over the other, but that doesnt mean you dont get the smaller chance!

But Im quietly hoping Im in the 70% chance with mine! LOL

@IVFfirsttimer91 i love it! I’m sure your family will too.
My dads quite old fashioned so I’m sure I’ll have the same reaction for the names I choose 😂

@ASGIRC a few more months and we will all know what we are having 🤞🏼

@SH998 i think they will like the girls name we have chosen (Eden) but I think Rocky is a bit out there for them. We were really keen on the name Rafferty a while back, but have seen lots of little boys with that name so we had a re think. I’m sure your dad won’t hate the names you’ve picked!

@IVFfirsttimer91 oh I love all them names and don’t think they are too way out there. It is difficult to find a name that hasn’t already got about 15 other kids with the same name in the school lol 😂

We like Frankie for a boy and Nellie for a girl, they are normal names compared to the rest on our list 🤦🏼‍♀️

As for names, Ive settled on Margarida for a girl. Maggie for short!
For a boy I really like Luis, but thats my brothers name, so I would have to ask him permission to use the name!

@ASGIRC it isn’t until next Friday! I will be 7+2 at the scan. It feels like the longest wait ever.

@beehappy19 Friday will be here in no time!! By 7 weeks youll be able to hear the heartbeat and see the little bean!!!

And yes to finding out the sex! Thats where the names conversation came from! @IVFfirsttimer91 is having a 16 week scan for that purpose!
