I feel for everyone waiting for scans. The 2WW is bad enough, I can imagine waiting for that viability scan is painful!

Tested today 9dp5dt - BFN, as expected.

Most positives should really be showing by now. So I think it’s safe to say the bleeding/spotting is my period and the progesterone is holding off full flow for now.

I’m going to message my clinic. I know they’ll tell me to keep taking the pessaries but at least they’ll know I started bleeding before OTD again.

Ladies looking for advice, on the clexane. I have a box of prefilled clexane syringes. Do you just stick them straight in like me?bit dawned on me yesterday that there's air between the liquid and the actual needle and im not sure if I should be pushing the syringe down to get rid of the air before putting it into my belly or whether that's the way it's designed

DauntedAF · 07/08/2023 07:29

If it helps at all I had zero symptoms throughout my entire first trimester last time on which was a medicated cycle and all turned out well

Not that it's helping me now. 4dp5dt and would only love a symptom !!

loulamay · 07/08/2023 07:51

@Olivia199 I would pay good money for an LED indicator that everything was ok!

@Lauralozzle I'm so sorry lovely. Take a breather and make sure to do lot of nice things for yourself. Big hug.

@DauntedAF you don't need to worry about any air bubbles in the clexane - they're not like ones where you draw up the liquid yourself. I think I said, but make sure you dry the tip of the needle first - any liquid on the end and it stings like hell.

Transfer in 2 hours...

Thank U Laughing GIF by Pusheen

Hi everyone! I am new to this community. I am looking for a IVF clinic - 32,F, severe endo, I was recommended to freeze my eggs. No clue where to go. Looking for a cheaper alternative but also where I am not treated like a number - AND a clinic that doesnt smell like a hospital! Any help much appreciated!

Lauralozzle · 07/08/2023 07:59

@loulamay Good luck with your transfer!

loulamay · 07/08/2023 08:11

Hi @rdn3101 - it might be worth starting a new thread in the main talk part? That way lots more people will see it! I think your choice will depend a lot on location and your willingness to travel, as some people go to Europe in search of cheaper clinics and some stay closer to home. Starting a new thread with a reference to your diagnosis will help I think, because I'm sure there will be lots of MNs with related experience.

ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 08:18

@loulamay good luck today!!!

@Lauralozzle I'm so sorry it seems it hasn't worked out. Take some time and be kind to yourself

Walker12 · 07/08/2023 08:24

@Lauralozzle sorry lovely. Thinking of you and wishing you lots of luck for when you feel ready to try again.

@loulamay good luck for transfer!!

SH998 · 07/08/2023 08:37

@loulamay good luck on today's transfer :)

Walker12 · 07/08/2023 08:47

@ASGIRC if the testing helps that's great, I just know for me I would become obsessive about the line strength etc. Just out of interest, are the lines always consistently darker or do they just get to a point where they stay the same?
I know exactly what you mean about not expecting it to work first time, it almost feels too good to be true - I just have to keep reminding myself the odds are good, and each day the risk of miscarriage reduces. One day hopefully we will be able to relax a bit and enjoy it!

ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 09:42

@Walker12 I assune they plateau at one point. But then if they don't become fainter, you're still on the right path!
At least that's how I'm looking at it.

Yeah, I'm sure I'll relax at some point soon

And the miscarriage website is helpful! Because every day, the chances are bigger that it will all work out!

I also know I have very good chances after the first trimester, as my donors were genetically tested for incompatibilities on 500 markers. It's not 100 fool proof, but it is reassuring.

Walker12 · 07/08/2023 09:51

@loulamay yes I use that website too and it definitely helps me! My previous loss was at about 5w5d so I am hoping once I get past that point I start to relax a little (but I doubt it!!). I never got lines as strong as I've had this time so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
@ASGIRC that's good to know, I worry if I do one and it's even a tiny bit lighter I will panic even though I am sure it can still be affected by time of day/concentration of urine etc. Great that you have some assurance about the genetic info of your donors!

ttcsolomumtobe · 07/08/2023 09:57

@Walker12 love the idea of browsing baby clothes instead of Google rabbit hole, defo a more positive use of your energy.

For all who are still looking for FRERs I managed to get some from Amazon £9.99 for 2 this morning

10degreessunny · 07/08/2023 09:58

Morning guys, catching up from the weekend.
@Lauralozzle so sorry that it hasnt worked as planned, sending big hugs and hope you can get some good learnings to do it differently next round.
@loulamay good luck today with transfer!
Glad to hear that those unwell and those with OHSS are feeling better. Hopefully we get some sunshine this week to help us all feel better X

ttcsolomumtobe · 07/08/2023 10:01

@rdn3101 agree with others that you will get more responses from setting up a new thread but me personally I would recommend ABC/Create fertility, they are the same but depending on certain medical criteria ABC is cheaper.

ttcsolomumtobe · 07/08/2023 10:03

@loulamay good luck for your transfer 🤞🏻

IVFfirsttimer91 · 07/08/2023 10:21

@loulamay good luck for your transfer today! Will be thinking of you!

@Lauralozzle im really sorry that it seems to not have worked this time for you. Sending lots of hugs and wishing you the best for the next round lovely xx

loulamay · 07/08/2023 11:36

Thanks everyone! Went as well as we could have hoped so now the waiting game starts! x

IVFfirsttimer91 · 07/08/2023 12:27

@loulamay exciting times!!! How much longer do you have to stay in SA for? You must really be missing home xx

loulamay · 07/08/2023 12:29

@IVFfirsttimer91 I think it's almost been the hardest thing about the FET - missing home! Fly back tomorrow night thank goodness!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 07/08/2023 13:22

@loulamay i bet it’s been so tough for you! I’m so glad that you can get home tomorrow!

ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 13:26

@loulamay amazing!!! And will you now be followed by a clinic in the UK?

loulamay · 07/08/2023 13:43

ASGIRC · 07/08/2023 13:26

@loulamay amazing!!! And will you now be followed by a clinic in the UK?

This part I haven't quite worked out haha. If it's a positive result then I'm going to contact the fertility clinic in Newcastle and see if they can do private scans etc. Will also tell my GP and see if they can organise an earlier scan at the hospital - she's lovely and knows that we're doing IVF abroad in any case. I wonder what they do within the NHS for women who are older anyway - I know I will be classed as 'high'risk' and I had extra growth scans towards the end of my pregnancy last time.

I have found a company online that does beta tests where you can do a fingerprick test at home and send them off. And then my Dr here actually trained in London which means that he is still on the General Medical Council in the UK so I'm just hoping that I can find somewhere for extra meds if I need them.

Phew!
