@Walker12 Hey! I'm so sorry you're not well. Hoping that the pain subsides overnight - this process is hard enough as it is. Sending vibes X

Gonna test again in the morning, feeling bloated and uncomfortable tonight, but not on your level. Get good sleep!

Walker12 · 31/07/2023 21:46

Thank you lovely lot x hope everyone has a restful night

ttcsolomumtobe · 31/07/2023 21:48

@Walker12 I'm so sorry to hear you've ended up in hospital and how unwell you are, it seems mad as you say with only having 9 eggs retrieved. Congrats on the HCG, like @AnaS86 ,not the way you would have wanted to find out but I'm sure it with all be okay. Just focus on getting better.

@AnaS86 hope things are improving for you.

@Olivia199 gosh that's not good, glad you've managed to get some meds for it and hopefully start to feel on the mend soon.

Just shows how much the IVF process can knock a body about

Lauralozzle · 01/08/2023 06:40

@Walker12 I’m sorry you’re feeling so rubbish! OHSS sounds horrendous, I didn’t realise you could really get it with fewer eggs. I hope you start feeling better soon. Also, massive congratulations!!

@Olivia199 Oh, you must be feeling terrible. Rest up.

@AnaS86 I hope you’re feeling a bit better soon.

Sangels267 · 01/08/2023 07:37

Morning,
I woke up at 5.30am and decided to do a test. My OTD is tomorrow. For the first time in my life I had a BFP!! I can't believe it yet, doesn't seem real!

I hope you feeling better really soon @Walker12 @AnaS86 @Olivia199

10degreessunny · 01/08/2023 07:41

Morning
@Walker12 & @AnaS86 so sorry to hear you're going through OHSS, it seems very unpredictable who will get it. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and make sure you get lots of fuss from loved ones.
@Olivia199 sorry to hear about the pneumonia, I thought you could only get that in the winter, obviously not! Hope you're able to get some rest.

Wanted to share an update on the dreaded lubion in case anyone has to go through this and needs support on how to make it better. I have found warming up the medication under armpit for 5mins, laying down to inject and rubbing after has made it a lot better, nowhere near the pain now. Think body has got use to it as well so recovering from injection quicker.

How are people doing in the 2WW?
I'm day 4 post transfer and don't feel any symptoms at all, I have got it in my head that it can't be possible it's implanted, seems so complicated for the body to do!

X

10degreessunny · 01/08/2023 07:41

Ah congratulations @Sangels267! Xx

ASGIRC · 01/08/2023 08:05

@Sangels267 congratulations!!!!!! Thats great news!!!

@10degreessunny I havent had any symptoms and Im very much pregnant! Line is getting stronger every day (currently 13dpt).
The body works in very mysterious ways!!!
im glad the lubion is not making you pass out anymore! how long do you have to keep the injections for?

Lauralozzle · 01/08/2023 08:10

@Sangels267 Congratulations 🎉

@10degreessunny I’m glad you found a trick to make the lubion less painful.

I’m 3dp5dt and I feel no different than I did before transfer. I’m a bit crampy and my boobs are sore but that’s from the progesterone. The 2WW is horrible, it drags!

Olivia199 · 01/08/2023 08:20

@Sangels267 - Huge congratulations!! What lovely news!

@10degreessunny - Thank you, I had it back in March and ended up admitted with it. They wonder if it's left that side vulnerable.

So glad you found a better way for the jab!

@Sangels267 congratulations! Brilliant news.

Sangels267 · 01/08/2023 09:05

Thank you everyone.

@Fluxie did you do another test today? Is it today your OTD?

Fluxie · 01/08/2023 09:06

Not so joyful my end unfortunately. Woke up at 4 and got another negative.

I guess we might try again in September if the clinic allows us. I just don’t know what I’d do differently. Feel like I pulled out all the stops this time and the blast was excellent quality and the lining as It should be.

Im going to see all my family at the weekend. I’m going to have to tell them all. Not the moment I’d pictured to be honest.

Any tips for a second go much appreciated.

x

Sangels267 · 01/08/2023 09:13

I had my first fresh transfer back in March, very good quality and lining was good too. It didn't work. I was so frustrated and couldn't understand why it didn't result in a pregnancy.
We waited until July to do our frozen transfer and decided to transfer 2 blastocysts because the clinic gave us the option to do so. This time I had a positive result.
Don't loose your hope and I completely support the idea of telling your family. My family and best friends were the best giving us support during this time 💕
I have everything crossed for your next one!

Fluxie · 01/08/2023 09:32

Thank you @Sangels267 that really gives me hope. I’m going to put it down to my body needing a little break from the stress of the egg collection and revisit it with new energy after some Italy sun.

i’ll revisit this group and check in (if it’s still going) you’ve all been the most amazing support. I fell into the other side of the percentage this time.

Big love to you all. ESP those unwell right now whilst simultaneously creating life. Women are incredible xxx

Olivia199 · 01/08/2023 09:36

Oh @Fluxie, I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been thinking of you. Please don't feel it's something you ought to do differently - even in the most perfect environment with the most perfect embryo, it's a 50/50 shot at best. And no one knows why. I hope you enjoy some lovely Italian sun and feel refreshed and ready for whatever lays ahead. X

loulamay · 01/08/2023 09:41

I'm sorry @Fluxie - it's such a blow when you feel you have done everything right, but taking a break and coming back to it renewed is the only way I have found to try again. You may not even do anything differently next time, as Olivia says, it's a roll of the dice frustratingly. Just so happens to be a roll of the dice that involves putting our bodies and emotions through the ringer at the same time.

loulamay · 01/08/2023 09:43

@Sangels267 fabulous news!!

@10degreessunny - have only just clocked and read back that you were having such problems. Glad you found a better way! Now I'm scared though! Is Lubion the progesterone in oil injection that goes in your bum? I start mine tomorrow night... and I have to do them by myself 😫

ASGIRC · 01/08/2023 09:50

@Fluxie Im so sorry it did work out.

Do give yourself a break and enjoy Italy. Drink ALL the wine! Just get your mind off of it and try again in September!!
Its such pot luck on whether it happens or not...

10degreessunny · 01/08/2023 10:47

@Fluxie I'm so sorry it hasn't worked out for you this time. Like the ladies said don't be hard on yourself and go enjoy a lovely break away in Italy, can't think of a more lovely place to be X
@ASGIRC ha no more passing out which makes a nice change haha. Ohh hopefully I'm a no symptoms case...!
@Lauralozzle when are you thinking of testing? I keep changing my plan for this.
@loulamay ohh I didn't have to do in bum..just in tummy, would definitely recommend warming up and running after xx

10degreessunny · 01/08/2023 10:59

*rubbing after! Not running haha

loulamay · 01/08/2023 11:04

I heard running around (ok maybe walking!) also helps!! did you ice the injection site first?

Walker12 · 01/08/2023 11:08

@Sangels267 huge congratulations!

@Fluxie I'm so sorry, it really is just luck of the draw especially when you were in such a good position, I can only imagine how disappointed you are feeling. Definitely take some time to do something non IVF focused before you try again. You will get there and get to meet your little one eventually.

Thank you so much for the well wishes ladies. I had a rough night but feeling OK currently and my waist measurement has reduced slightly which is a good sign. I don't think I have really processed the pregnancy aspect and keep worrying but I will try to stay positive (the hospital seem quite tentative with it all too so I think that's contributing to my caution). Hopefully I'll get good news with the next beta and that will help me relax a little (until i start focusing on the wait to the scan!!)
