just got the call and they have more than multiplied as they should - i was expecting around 1000 based on the time passed and it’s over 2300 (14dp5dtr) - and now my poor brain thinks it’s too high and something must be wrong…

@ASGIRC @Fluxie those sound like really interesting jobs you guys have/had! Nothing as nerve wrecking here, which is maybe why i’m not as good at waiting…

@orchid29 I don't think high means that anything is wrong (I think only low is worrying), but high to me might mean multiple pregnancies? Did you transfer one or two embryos? x

@Olivia199 @Fluxie thank you so much! Going to put all my energy into me and husband doing things we enjoy. We tried for 4 years before we got referred to the fertility clinic then covid shut it down then husband got cancer. We feel a bit sorry for ourselves sometimes! I’m now packing for our london trip tomorrow and can taste the cocktails already 🤩🥳

@loulamay I transferred one and no history or identical twins in the family, so I’m hoping the chance of twins is low…

@LittleAm wow that sounds like a lot. I’m sorry it’s been such an ordeal. I hope you get to forget about all of this for a while on your trip!

Ha! yes, it does sound like a glamorous job, and I suppose, in some ways, it is, but it is also just that, a job! (Im not an actor, though, Im a sound engineer!)

I went to my GP today, to try and book a consultation, as a pregnant person. As it turns out, they are fully booked until end of September.... I dont even want a consultation, I just want the script for the scans, so that I can get them on the NHS and not have to pay privately for them!!!
The recepcionist lady said that wasnt up to her and that they were doing what they could...
So that was... annoying!

@LittleAm Drink the cocktails! I’m sorry though, putting your energy into things you and you OH enjoy sounds like a plan though.

Just got back from seeing the GP again. Turns out I have pneumonia. Which tracks with how god awful I feel! Got some antibitoics and antisickness and hoping it ends quickly!

@Olivia199 pneumonia?! Thats harsh!!! hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and youll feel fine in a few days!

Obviously, now that Ive gone to the GP, I feel like Ive jynxed myself and now things will go downhill! Im usually a reasonable person! LOL

@Olivia199 Hope you feel better soon! So sorry you have to get sick going through this.

@ASGIRC I don't thiink you've jinxed yourself, I just think the NHS is in tatters. It's the same with my GP - always a three week wait. I say 'Thanks but I'll be better or dead by then'

@Fluxie Im not in the UK, but our NHS is in the same kind of state. When you manage to get seen, its amazing, but getting in is ridiculously hard!
A while back I had an abnormal result on some urine, and I tried to book a consult and they had one for over a month away!!! I also said I was likely to be dead by then, if I did have an infection!!!

I am fortunate enough that I can pay for private, if it comes to that, but I shouldnt HAVE to. I definitely will not be having my baby at a private hospital.

Feeling able to type a semi coherent sentence for the first point today - I can't believe this but I have followed in @AnaS86 footsteps and am in bloody hospital with late onset OHSS! Became really unwell last night and the worst pains i've ever had and ended up in A&E. Turns out my abdomen is full of fluid. I only had 9 eggs collected so not sure why I've become so ill... But they tested my bloods and my HCG today is 205 which I think I accept is probably not the trigger shot (i am 8dp5dt today)! I am feeling a bit worried though as had oramorph, and just the general stress my body has been unde rin the last 24hrs.Hoping my little embryo is a tough cookie, they are going to repeat my bloods in 48hrs.
I have just been catheterised as my bladder was just storing fluid :( they think I will be in for a few more nights.

@Olivia199 I am so sorry you are unwell too, wow no wonder you had a temp!!

Enjoying reading everyone's updates - hope everyone else is doing OK, sending lots of love to those with the highs and the lows.

@Walker12 I'm so sorry you're going through this too. It's just awful. I finally had my scan today (unbelievable that my hospital wasn't able to offer one all weekend) and I also have fluid in my abdomen. It doesn't sound quite as bad as yours however, you must be so uncomfortable :( I'm sure your little embryo will be fine. There's nothing to suggest that OHSS impacts success rates.

I also have no idea why I've ended up with this too. It's strange isn't it? It sounds like we are both low risk.
Peppermint tea has helped me a little, but if I find anything else that helps I'll let you know.

@AnaS86 I can't believe they've only just scanned you! I have to say I've been so impressed with my local hospital and all the staff.
I think I've mentioned a few times I've not felt great since EC but yesterday it just escalated massively with these waves of horrendous pain. I thought i was bloated before but now my belly feels like it's going to burst. I am so sorry you are in a similar position. At least we can focus on the positive of there being a little growing embryo causing the hormones and surge in symptoms! Thank you for the assurance about OHSS not impacting the pregnancy, I have just had a quick look online too but really trying to control my googling. I will ask my husband to bring me some peppermint tea in tomorrow, thank you for the tip.

Just popped my pessary in behind my catheter, ah a new low 😅
