Hi @DauntedAF (loving the name) - I'm hanging in there! The others on the thread will know, but my husband and I used to live in South Africa which is where we did IVF but then relocated to the UK when I was pregnant with our daughter and so I've had to come back here by myself for all the scans and transfer which is taking its toll, I have to say.

I've never had lining issues before so we thought it would go the same way as the last transfer, but it's taken me a week to get to almost where my Dr wants me to be and I think that is just making me extra anxious that things aren't going to work out.

Can I ask what has delayed you?

Lauralozzle · 31/07/2023 10:38

@Olivia199 Congratulations- excellent line!

@Fluxie I’m sorry. That sucks. Fingers crossed it’s just a later implantation!

@loulamay It’s getting there. Hopefully by the 7th it’s perfect.

ASGIRC · 31/07/2023 11:32

@Olivia199 amazing line!!! Remind me, does your clinic do betas?

@Fluxie that is disheartning but not all is lost... On another board, someone had a beta on 9dpt and it was 16, which is really low. So they had her repeat it on 11dpt (29), 13dpt (200ish) and 15dpt (600 ish), so it could just be a late implantation. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

@DauntedAF welcome!!!

@loulamay at least its progressing!!! When do you fly home, after the transfer?

loulamay · 31/07/2023 11:40

@ASGIRC I did a bit of reading and most of what I found seemed to suggest that flying the same day might not be ideal, so I've just changed my flights for the next evening (it's always a night flight to the UK from here so can only do that). Counting down the days!

Charming81 · 31/07/2023 11:46

Good morning everyone. I am new to the group and to the website. I am 12dp5dt transfer and today is my otd. I did a first response at 9dp5dt and it was positive but faint line. Did other tests, acutest from co-op and the line is faint but clear and till today clear blue digital still says 1-2. I was expecting 2-3 considering I am 4+3 today.

This is my 7th and last transfer (second one from egg donor) and I already had 2 chemical pregnancies in the past. I am afraid the nightmare is happening again.

I have done a blood test yesterday but I will only have the result tomorrow.

ASGIRC · 31/07/2023 11:50

@Charming81 hi and welcome!

That second test seems stronger than the first, so Id say its a good sign, as it means hCG is increasing still.

Can you get another blood test, so see if the value doubles?

Charming81 · 31/07/2023 12:00

@ASGIRC I can book another blood test for Saturday because I can't go before. It would be after 6 days from the first one.

I have been having sore boobs and this morning they are totally fine 😭 This whole IVF journey is driving me crazy

loulamay · 31/07/2023 12:08

hi @Charming81 - I understand the stress - this IVF malarkey is not for the faint of heart!

I never really think the digitals are super accurate and often wonder if they're a bit of a money-making scheme! Nonetheless, I just read this:

"The Clearblue Digital test takes away any of the confusion caused by different symbols used in other tests; there are no signs to look out for or lines to read, simply wait for the words ‘pregnant’vor ‘not pregnant’ to appear. With the conception indicator test, a number will also appear; either 1-2, 2-3 or 3+ will appear and this will indicate how many weeks have passed since you conceived. A doctor will interpret the results as 1-2 meaning you are 3-4 weeks pregnant, 2-3 meaning you are 4-5 weeks pregnant and 3+ meaning you are more than 5 weeks pregnant."

So you're really in the middle ground at the moment and I think either 1-2 or 2-3 as a result could apply. If you were over 5 weeks but it was saying 1-2, then perhaps that would be of concern, but I think your blood test result will be the most reliable and hopefully positive number you can go off!

I also had fluctuating symptoms with my one pregnancy that worked and I was in tears about it, but it's totally normal. Hang in there xx

ASGIRC · 31/07/2023 12:09

@Charming81 I place very little weight on symptoms, because they are not an accurate gauge of pregnancy. I am pregnant and have had exactly zero symptoms so far.

I would suggest getting the test on Saturday. You can just calculate how much it should be on Saturday from todays results.

so, if for instance, you get a result of, say, 200 today, on Saturday it should be around 1200 ish, if it was doubling every 2 days.

But thats what i would do, if I were you! Obviously, it doesnt tell you how it will evolve after (you can keep testing, I guess), but it will let you know if it is still evolving!!

I get it. Ive been worried like crazy as well, and am planning on getting another blood test tomorrow, as it is 5 days after my official one, to see if things are going in the right direction!

Charming81 · 31/07/2023 12:14

@loulamay I know I should not look at symptoms, but I am not rational at all and I try to find hope (or the opposite) on anything. I'll test again tomorrow and will see what happen.

@ASGIRC I will book another blood test for Saturday (hoping not to have a negative before then). I will try to read all the pages from this thread when I have time later. Good luck to you! 🤞🏻🍀🐞

ASGIRC · 31/07/2023 12:17

@Charming81 fingers crossed!! You wont get a negative before Saturday anyway.

But yeah, you can continue testing your lines, to see if they darken, until then. that would also be a good gauge (and something I have also been doing)

best of luck!!!!

loulamay · 31/07/2023 12:17

I totally understand. Before IVF I considered myself a fairly sane, sensible person but it turns me completely crazy!

Fluxie · 31/07/2023 13:08

Thanks for the ‘all is not lost’ comments you lovely lot.

I feel like I’ve opened Pandora’s box now so will check, just in case, until Thursday. I’ve never been early for anything in my life, so perhaps the embryo takes after its mother.

I did have undeniable implantation spotting on day 6 and nothing before or after.

I’ll stay positive until the end and if not… we’ve got some top notch frozen and we’ll just go again.

super excited for all those lines I’m seeing. Don’t know where I’d be without this group!

xx

orchid29 · 31/07/2023 13:26

@Charming81 I don’t want to give you any false hope given your experiences but i have been having faint lines that were thicker and thinner all over the place and then I just got myself an early blood test and got good results.

I did my official beta hog test this morning and cannot wait to get the call. I haven’t tested since the blood test on Thursday as the results seemed so positive but now i’m worrying that i was over confident. (i’m weirdly superstitious that if i get too positive it will make it more likely not to work out- weird i know!)

orchid29 · 31/07/2023 13:27

And just to say on the digital: it jumps from 10m/ml for 1-2 weeks to 150 for 3-4. So it’s a big difference…

orchid29 · 31/07/2023 13:28

@Fluxie - fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

Charming81 · 31/07/2023 13:38

@orchid29 it is not weird at all, I am the same! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have to wait till tomorrow for my blood test result and today I also have a headache but I don't want to take any meds. All this is so consuming

Fluxie · 31/07/2023 13:57

@orchid29 thanks! I know what you mean about getting hopes up and jinxing it. I’m an actress so I spend so much time waiting to hear if I’ve got a part. But often there’s no rhyme or reason to it. The best mental state is not to attach to either outcome.

im trying to practice that myself today. Zen Af. But also manically Googling late implantation. Balance lol.

ASGIRC · 31/07/2023 14:56

@orchid29 Yay for good results on your first blood test!! And fingers crossed the numbers multiplied accordingly for todays!!!

Im the same, regarding being too positive about something.

I used to work in theatre, and I always felt like if I shared I was up for a job or an interview had gone well, I wouldnt get it. But if I didnt say a word until it was official, then it would work out.
And anecdotally, that was correct!

Olivia199 · 31/07/2023 15:07

My clinic did Betas last time but apparently think it isn't necessary anymore. So that's okay, to be honest I feel too bloody rough to even think about moving. Let alone driving an hour to the clinic and back.

I woke up from a nap to a temperature of 39.6, poor baby has already been asked to survive a lot in there and I am panicking!

Seeing doctor again as I have basically slept from Thursday to today and feeling worse than I've ever felt. Which is saying a lot...!

@Olivia199 amazing OTD line!

@Fluxie keeping everything cross for you. Hope the next few test start to show a line and some wonderful improvement for you

LittleAm · 31/07/2023 15:29

Afternoon everyone! Well that’s us out this month. Had another scan to see if another week of Progynova had got the lining where they wanted it to be… it hasn’t changed in a week! I was given choices about next steps but agreed with the doctor that we will call it a day this round and they’ll try something different next time.
in may 2022 my round got cancelled the day before egg retrieval as I tested positive for covid, then then next 2 I got pregnant and had MC both times and now this. Feels a bit exhausting! I’ll keep the faith though and power through until next time. X

Olivia199 · 31/07/2023 15:38

Oh @LittleAm, I'm so so sorry.

Fluxie · 31/07/2023 15:40

@LittleAm I'm sorry, that's really frustrating.

Things can change month to month, so take some time off (mentally, if not physically!) and make so you can start again with renewed energy for the next one. Everything crossed for you xx

Fluxie · 31/07/2023 15:42

@ttcsolomumtobe Thanks! I've done a lot of googling and worked out that theres still hope!
