@Olivia199 sounds like being at home with your feet up is definitely the best place to be, take care.

The temptation came when I ordered the FRERs which were due to arrive today but they came last night- so this morning I couldn't resist! My trigger was 12 days ago but it was10,000 hcg which can take up to 14 days to leave apparently. Its a clear line but I know I can't read too much into it at this point.

@IVFfirsttimer91 amazing news- so happy and relieved for you!! Hope you can relax a little now

Fluxie · 28/07/2023 09:51

@Walker12 that's exciting - which day are you again? I'm really not getting any symptoms and the ones I am, could easily be put down to wishful thinking. Slight twinging... teeny tiny spots of blood but I had a tricky ET so it could be that. I've told myself I won't test until next Thursday and I can be quite stubborn so...

@Olivia199 I'm so sorry that you've not been well and really hope that everythiiings okay and that you can get some rest. X

IVFfirsttimer91 · 28/07/2023 09:43

I had my scan today. And it was perfect. Measuring exactly 6+2 with a heartbeat of 135.

Relief isn’t even the word I would use. Thanks for all the support everyone xxxx

@IVFfirsttimer91 amazing news, so eased for you! Actually gave me happy shivers reading that 🥲. Did they explain or apologise to why they worried you!?

@Olivia199 hope you feel better soon lovely! And that the bleeding stops. Has your OTD passed yet?

Walker12 · 28/07/2023 10:04

@Fluxie I think we are on the same timeline, I remember noticing we had our ETs on Sunday (I am 5 days post transfer today). I hadn't had any symptoms and then started cramping a bit yesterday then a few strange sensations overnight, however yesterday it just felt like pre period feelings. The first few days after transfer I felt awful but i dont think that had anything to do with the embryo, I think I was still recvering from egg collection. I think there is so much variability with symptoms/lack of symptoms and I really try not to read much into it but it's so hard isn't it. I really admire your determination not to test until Thursday!!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 28/07/2023 10:09

@wtawtaw thank you so much!

The doctor that scanned me said that I shouldn’t have had a blood test and just been scanned as HCG past a certain point doesn’t mean much (didn’t say what the certain point was though). But I am so grateful to have seen the tiny heart beating.

loulamay · 28/07/2023 10:12

@IVFfirsttimer91 yaaaaaaaay!!!! that's so awesome. I'm still cross at your clinic for worrying you! Did they explain any more about your hcg numbers?

@Walker12 oooh cautiously excited!

@21C how are you doing this morning lovely?

@Olivia199 pesky pessaries! Hope you make it through the day ok

Had my lining scan and thankfully there is progress! Gone from just under 5mm to between 6.6 and 7.1 (the range from his different views and measurements) so that's a relief! As he said though, he doesn't want to rush it and rather than upping my estrogen he wants me to carry on as I am over the weekend and go back for one more scan on Monday. Will likely start progesterone and Clexane Monday evening and embryo transfer 6 days later as it's a day 6 embryo.

The only downside is that I was due to fly home a week today and now won't be going before Monday 7th which seems an age to be away from my little family. Trying to remember that it's all for a good cause whilst also trying not to cry.

Hope everyone has some nice weekend plans to take their minds off this whole process which can just be so utterly relentless at times. xxx

ASGIRC · 28/07/2023 10:26

@IVFfirsttimer91 OMG thats amazing!!!! Im so glad!!!

@Olivia199 that definitely would freak me out as well! Hope it stops soon and it means nothing.

@Walker12 I had my first faint line at 5dpt!!! (had tested out the trigger at 2dpt and it was clear)

@loulamay that does sound like a long time away, but it will be for a good cause!!!

@Fluxie Ive had absolutely zero symptoms that couldnt be explained by something else. And even then, very few. Currently have a lot of gas, but thats not unusual for me!

I said I wasnt going to test today, before the beta, but I did! And its still progressing!!!!

Decided to tell my mom tomorrow at dinner

@ASGIRC that's a strong line! so fab. What time are you getting bloods taken?

Interesting that you spell it Mom. Are you American/Canadian? (nosey parker strikes again...)

ASGIRC · 28/07/2023 10:33

@loulamay on my way now! Just waiting on the bus!

Lol no. Portuguese born and raised. But although we learned english spelling in school, mom was always in american spelling, which I didn't even realise until I moved to the UK!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 28/07/2023 10:34

Thanks so much guys!! @loulamay no they didn’t explain any more about hcg. By that point I was just so anxious to get the scan over and done with i didn’t push.

@ASGIRC CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So excited for you xxx

Olivia199 · 28/07/2023 10:36

Thank you all for your lovely messages! I'm home now having been sick on the park and ride. An experience I don't ever wish to repeat. Called my boss at my normal base who was thrilled for me and said that she very much agreed with the other hospitals decision to let me go throw up in my own home.

Feeling rubbish but feet up and less anxious about spotting now that I've had some time to process it. I had this last time, all was fine and my morning pesserie HURT so I wonder if I knocked the little cyst in there?

And looks like I've come back to some amazing news!!

@loulamay - I'm so thrilled your lining has developed nicely. I can absolutely imagine the heart ache of being away from your family for so long but hopefully you'll be back with baby on board ASAP and all this will feel worth it.

@IVFfirsttimer91 - YESS!!!!! Congratulations lovely! That sounds amazing, seeing your little bean happy as a clam in there. So so glad it all went well.

@ASGIRC - Eeep, that's some exciting progression. Fingers crossed for your bloods!

Olivia199 · 28/07/2023 10:39

@Walker12 - Honestly I'd have done the same...! Also if your trigger did hold out until the full 14 days, you may not get a negative in between. It'll just be a case of tests getting darker. Got everything in the world crossed for you!

Walker12 · 28/07/2023 10:44

@IVFfirsttimer91 I bet it was so so lovely to see the heartbeat 💓

@loulamay Great news about your lining, can only imagine what it must be like being away from your family, but you have got this!

@ASGIRC lovely progression and how exciting for you to tell your Mum.

@ASGIRC @Olivia199 I didn't properly test the trigger but I did test 9 days after the trigger out of curiosity and there was still a faint line, I am sure todays is darker (on same brand- easy@home) the frer is very clear but I dont have anything to compare it to. So just going to have to sit on my hands for a few days!!

Lauralozzle · 28/07/2023 11:18

@IVFfirsttimer91 Congratulations that’s excellent news. I can’t believe they made you worry for no reason!

@loulamay Im glad your lining is progressing nicely. Bummer you have to stay away from your family for a little longer but hopefully it’ll be worth it.

@ASGIRC Progression is looking good!

@Walker12 Tentative congratulations 🎉

21C · 28/07/2023 11:24

This is all great news to come onto!

@IVFfirsttimer91 so elated for you!! Can’t imagine how that must have felt, congratulations!

@ASGIRC that line is so lovely and dark! Sending lots of good vibes for beta bloods today 🍀

@Olivia199 sorry you’re not feeling great, glad you are back home and can rest!

@loulamay I’m ok thanks. Hanging in there. No AF but due tomorrow and all signs of it coming very much here still. Clinging onto today’s last day of blind hope and faith. Glad to be wfh so I can go to the bathroom as often as I want to check (which is a lot!). I’ll be up with the birds tomorrow to test if AF doesn’t appear before then.

SH998 · 28/07/2023 12:06

@ASGIRC congrats on your line, there's no denying that one is there.

@IVFfirsttimer91 glad to hear all was well at the scan, bet it was amazing seeing that little heartbeat.

@loulamay glad to see your lining is progressing, not ideal being away from home but at least they are not rushing things.

@Olivia199 hope you start to feel well soon.

SH998 · 28/07/2023 13:12

First Beta was yesterday and was showing as 806iu/l at 4 weeks 5 days, I'm pretty sure that's within range? Second beta is on Sunday.

I'm hoping if that shows a good increase I can stop freaking out, I've almost given myself a heart attack at least 3 times this week with worry lol

10degreessunny · 28/07/2023 13:29

Hi guys, happy Friday.
@Olivia199 I'm sorry to hear you're going through a rough day, it sounds like it is all very normal as part of the process but go home and look after yourself. Recommend watching Colin from accounts on BBC, light hearted comedy for you.
@SH998 ohh I hope you can find some calmness this week to not worry, I really recommend yoga to help destress.
@loulamay great news re lining :)
@IVFfirsttimer91 aw you must be feeling so relieved, can hopefully take some anxiety away.
@ASGIRC all looking so good!
@Walker12 congratulations, great start!

I had my first ET today, surprisingly easy and I feel very chilled so going to try and stay that way. All seems a bit surreal if I'm honest. The nurse gave me a scan pic of my uterus once the embryo had gone in, quite sweet but also so bizarre as well, maybe not one for the fridge magnets just yet haha

X

That sounds really good!
Anything in the 100s is a good result!!

I'm hoping I have as good a result as you do, but considering my lines so far, I'd think it's probably a bit lower.

But I'm only 4+1/2 (don't know when my first day was, exactly, as it started with old blood, and not sure when red blood appeared)

Lauralozzle · 28/07/2023 13:42

@SH998 That sounds good to me!!

@10degreessunny Congrats on your ET today. Fingers crossed for you.

Walker12 · 28/07/2023 13:48

@21C you've done so well to wait to test, I really hope its good news for you.

Great news on your transfer @10degreessunny, the scan pic sounds quite cool to me 😂

@Lauralozzle is it your transfer tomorrow?

I have googled myself into thinking it's far too soon for my test to be accurate and trigger is likely in my system still, so keeping a lid on my feelings at the moment!

Lauralozzle · 28/07/2023 14:23

@Walker12 Yes, transfer tomorrow at 10:50. Will find out if there’s anything to transfer that morning at approximately 9:15.

It’ll be a nervous morning… I’m trying not to think about it today. That’s future Laura’s problem!

Fluxie · 28/07/2023 14:30

@Lauralozzle Hi Laura, I didn't know if there was anything to transfer until the day- but went along assuming they'd have cancelled if not. (NHS) When I got there, out of 10 - only one was ready, so they gave the others another day and now I have 3 more! So I'm sure it will be fine. Best of luck!
