Hello!

Just wanted to start a thread and see if anyone was going ahead with a transfer in July.

I've just had my nurse consult and hoping to have my second FET in July (my first was successful in Jan 2021 and I had my wonderful DD).

The first time around I was of course beyond nervous, excited, terrified it wouldn't work etc. This time it feels like that's doubled! I'm a private patient so I've saved everything for this but should it fail, it'll be a long long time before I could afford to try again.

To add some nerves, I'd need to be cycle day one no later than the 6th July to go ahead, as my clinic is moving locations. I'm currently due on the 5th...! So every chance it's moved to a Sept cycle.

Would be nice to have some company!

:)

Welcome @Overunder123 @Justalittlebitblondie @Maggie564 :)
So relieved you got sorted @loulamay!! And hope you enjoyed the well earned vino.
@Olivia199 wonderful news, so happy for you!

My cramps and gross feelings are definitely worse about an hour after my pessaries so I'm definitely more confident that it's the bastard progesterone making me feel like this! I tested my trigger this morning and it's still a faint line so I'm glad I checked as it's motivating me to hold off with the tests until next week (9 days post trigger, 2dp5dt)

@TheBirdintheCave I don't know if you will check back but just wanted to say I'm so sorry and wishing you all the best moving forward, hope you are taking some time to look after yourself.

Welcome @Overunder123 and of course!! Good luck for your phone call tomorrow 🤞🏻 keep us updated 🙂 did you have two good quality blasts transferred last time or were they lower quality?

They didn't give me actual grading numbers etc last time (I didn't really think to ask) but they said good.
They've just called and they're transferring today so I'm on my way now. So this will be a day 3 transfer this time. She didn't give much info on the phone so I'll ask when I'm there.

SH998 · 25/07/2023 09:16

@TheBirdintheCave I'm so sorry to hear this news, wishing you all the best on your next steps. Try to keep positive, it will happen.

Walker12 · 25/07/2023 09:26

@Maybemumma I believe some bleeding and cramps can be really common in early pregnancy so please don't worry. Also I assume you are on progesterone which can also cause these things. Completely understand why you are anxious though especially given your experiences, I know it's easier said thay done but try to keep yourself distracted if you can. I always find it helpful to remember that worrying won't change anything and to refocus my attention on something which is good/helpful/meaningful to me.
Good luck with your transfer @Overunder123!

Maybemumma · 25/07/2023 09:33

Thank you! I’m a terrible worrier and google is not my friend! Think I’ll be spending today nipping to the loo every 5 minutes 🙈

orchid29 · 25/07/2023 09:40

hey everyone - eating my own words now. I actually looked back at the test and was freaked out that it looked less strong than yesterday. I did. another more sensitive one and got a good line, but nothing compared to others on the chat at 8dp5dt. Did anyone else have not so strong lines and was successful? i swear i’m normally a reasonable person!

Hi guys, sorry joining late to the party here but have been watching the thread. Huge congratulations to all the BFP, brings a lot of hope seeing them all. @Olivia199 we have been chatting on other threads so very pleased to see early signs of success for you ❤️
I am due to transfer on Friday which was exciting but I'm seriously struggling with this latest medication, has anyone found a way to make lubion not painful? This morning I ended up passing out in the bathroom and it was all a lot of drama tbh. Just feels like such a long road ahead with these meds and just hoping it gets easier, up to now found all the injections fine.
Any advice welcome, and sorry for the moan just feel like I can't do this 😔
X

Lauralozzle · 25/07/2023 09:59

@Olivia199 That’s great news!

@Overunder123 Good luck for your transfer

@10degreessunny I can’t offer any tips for lubion as I’ve not had that but hopefully someone here will be able to provide some tips. I know it’s meant to be a bit of a pain though, maybe try searching other threads see if you get some tips from them?

No update yet for me. I’m bricking it. I don’t think I’ve slept so much in a long time! Got home about 11-ish, had toast and fell asleep until about 3:00pm. Had some more toast, fell asleep until about 7:00. Had dinner (Chinese takeaway cause I wanted salty things) about 8:00, fell asleep at about 9:00. Woke up at 6:00AM.

I was quite uncomfortable in the evening last night. Sharp pains in my ovary, meds must have worn off a bit. It feels a bit better today, just achy more than anything.

I’m literally sat on sofa staring at my phone. Daren’t do anything until I get the call, in case I miss it. Full of dread, expecting bad news… I’m basically shitting it!

Hope they bloody call soon!

Lauralozzle · 25/07/2023 10:01

@orchid29 Thats still a decent line. Don’t compare to others, you might just start off with a lower level of HCG, it might have implanted later. Right now, you’re pregnant.

orchid29 · 25/07/2023 10:25

@10degreessunny i’m sorry to hear - were your progesterone levels low the last time? I got it prescribed this time around and challenged it asking if i really needed it because the last time my levels were really good with just the predators and the doctors were like “oh yes, true you don’t need it” which i found a bit annoying because of how painful it is - and they just don’t think about that!

But i can also relate to the feeling like you can’t do this. I get really depressed from the meds - (not suicidal) but definitely suffering from depression. And it makes it feel absolutely impossible…

@Lauralozzle thank you and good luck! did they say when they would call? i hope you get clarity soon!!

SH998 · 25/07/2023 10:29

@10degreessunny good luck on Fridays transfer. I'm on Lubion and have been since maybe 5 days before the transfer (currently 12dp5dt). I've not experienced any issues with it, its not painful or uncomfortable at all. The reaction you are having doesn't seem normal, maybe speak to your clinic, you might have some sort of reaction to it, if you have they might be able to prescribe something different. Lubion has to be taken I think 10/12 weeks into pregnancy, that's a long time to continue with the reactions your getting.

Overunder123 · 25/07/2023 10:33

I'm waiting for my transfer. They're going to transfer 2 today. One 8 cell and one 10 cell. They'll continue to culture my other 3 to see if any make it to be frozen.

Lauralozzle · 25/07/2023 11:06

Just had the call.

Not amazing but better than before.

All 8 were mature. 4 have fertilised. 50% fertilisation rate is better than the 33% last time.

Hoping I get a decent blast from those 4. It’s better than before. The next 5 days are going to drag!

Keepingeverythingxxx · 25/07/2023 11:20

@10degreessunny I had a full on melt down the first time I used Lubion. I had only used pessaries on my previous rounds and found switching to Lubion really hard. The liquid is so much thicker so to go from injecting buserelin to Lubion was a completely different experience. I struggled to press down hard enough or my hand would shake so much that my stomach was black and blue. At the time I was on 2 injections a day. That round failed to implant and after consulting with my doctor we agreed to change to a mixed approach so I only have one injection in the morning then I’m on 2 x pessaries in an evening. I’ve done this for my last 2 transfers and find it so much better.

My advice is to check the area where you’re injecting. Ideally it needs to be somewhere where you can grab a good amount of skin so you won’t feel it as much. My nurse told me to clench my fist over my belly button and anywhere below my fist was a good area to inject. I also always alternate the side I inject on each day.

Another tip is to check the size of the syringes you are using. Ideally you need the larger syringes rather than the long thin ones. This should help the flow of the liquid when you’re injecting.

I really hope things get better. I’m sure you’ll be a pro by the end of it….you’ve got this! 💪🏻

ASGIRC · 25/07/2023 12:47

@Olivia199 great news!!!
@Lauralozzle tahts not bad at all! Hope they continue to progress!
@Overunder123 good luck with your transfer!
@Maggie564 That looks like a positive to me.
@orchid29 Again, that line looks positive... On its own, Id say its fine!

I tested again this morning and for a minute thought the other lines must have been evap lines, as I could see nothing on the test. But then, I started seeing a line. Definitely during the regular time. The test was still very pink and wet!

It seems a bit darker than yesterdays as well, I think. Or am I seeing things?
The line is so faint it could not be there and most people would not notice anything...

Lauralozzle · 25/07/2023 12:53

@ASGIRC I can definitely see something on that bottom one!

Walker12 · 25/07/2023 12:57

@Lauralozzle that's a good improvement and hopefully they develop nicely 🤞
@ASGIRC Yes definitely looks like it's getting stronger how exciting!

Olivia199 · 25/07/2023 13:04

@Lauralozzle - Amazing! Well done little left ovary. That sounds much more positive. Got everything crossed for you!

@ASGIRC - Definitely seems darker today on that Internet cheapie!! Congratulations! I'll pop a picture down of mine...

Hello,

Just read all the messages! Am I ok to join? I have unexplained secondary infertility.

I had egg collection on the 14th and transfer on the 19th. Had one transferred and 2 in freezer. I tried to not test but I took one today 6dp5dt. Do you think this is a faint positive? I don’t want to get excited as it’s very early!

congratualtions to everyone on here with positives and good luck to everyone on egg collections or transfers!

Hey @1010degreessunny! Nice to see you here. Thank you! Oh bless you, that sounds so hard. No advice here I'm afraid as I'm pesserie only but glad to see the others have some useful tips. Hope the next goes better for you. Good luck for transfer Friday!

I've just let my best friend in on the secret. Which felt really good. I also know that from this point, should anything go tits up, I'll need her.

@TTCbabyno2in2022 That seems like a line to me! Im the same days post tranfer, and mine is also very faint, as you can see from the pic above!

@Olivia199 that is definitely a line!!!!

Im pondering buying a proper test. We only get Clearblue here. Which one would you guys recomment for better results this early? (though, really, if this was a normal cycle, Id be expecting my period tomorrow or thursday!)
