@Crystal88 definitely good that you can enjoy yourself on holiday - it’s so important to be able to relax! X

Crystal88 · 05/09/2023 16:20

Another blood test at clinic this time to measure my thyroid and then hopefully I will know what medication they will try next time.

Hope everyone is ok xx

LF82 · 05/09/2023 16:56

@Crystal88 was that today? Got my fingers crossed for you. I am just doing my best to relax and wait for my scan on Monday. See what they say. Probably have another down reg injection the week after. Time seems to be going so slowly but so fast if that makes sense x

Jx3303 · 06/09/2023 12:18

@Crystal88 hope you get your bloods back asap and have a plan for your next cycle soon!

@LF82 hope it's good news Monday for you! Time is so strange during this isn't it.

Not much new from me, I had my scan on Friday and the cyst they seen at EPU after my MMC is gone so that's a relief. I've a call with the consultant on Monday then I'm hoping to get my plan and meds ordered for starting cycle 3 my next period.

@countrypunk @Hopewishprayer @Foreverhoping33 @Cat89 how are you all doing? I hope well xxx

Crystal88 · 06/09/2023 12:23

@LF82 /@Jx3303 had bloods this morning and weight check I’m 3 pounds off target so I am well pleased

as long as they don’t find a issue with my tsh blood test and I’m around weight then I can have treatment consultation hopefully mid October to start end of October. I am going to be on gonal instead of benfloma for this round so hopefully it’s better. It my last roll of dice has I can’t put my body and mind through any more, third time lucky 🍀 xx

LF82 · 06/09/2023 15:40

@Jx3303 glad your scan went well &the cyst has gone. A good start for your next round. Got my 🤞 for you x
@Crystal88 looks like you are doing a great job with the healthy eating and exercising! I have everything crossed for you… it’s such a hard journey x

countrypunk · 08/09/2023 13:15

Hello everyone!

@Crystal88 Amazing work on the weight loss. I'm really glad to read your clinic are trying you on a new drug this round. I'm sending loads of positive thoughts to you. Xx

@Jx3303 Glad to hear your cyst has gone and you're getting ready for cycle 3. Hope you're feeling OK. Xx

@LF82 Good luck with your scan on Monday! Xx

Sensitive update: we had our 12 week scan this morning and everything looked good. Extremely wriggly baby. It was very emotional and a massive relief. Just can't believe we're here - we've never got to this stage before and I convinced myself it was never going to happen. I'm sure everyone here has felt or feels the same.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Xx

@countrypunk that is such lovely news to read. I am delighted for you. Here’s to the rest of your pregnancy being easy and stress free! 🥰

Crystal88 · 08/09/2023 14:05

@countrypunk that’s great news it gives us all hope xx

Jx3303 · 08/09/2023 14:24

@countrypunk such a lovely update 🥹🩷 congratulations on your 12 week scan, it must have been amazing. How have you been feeling? Xx

countrypunk · 08/09/2023 20:01

Thanks everyone ❤️ It was surreal!

@Jx3303 I feel loads better than I did. I think I got off quite lightly, I only had sickness for a month.

I hope your next cycle goes swimmingly and you get another little bean or two to add to the freezer. Xx

Jx3303 · 10/09/2023 14:46

@countrypunk glad that you are feeling lots better. I hope that with feeling better physically and having your scan you can enjoy your pregnancy more 🩷

Thank you. I've been really up and down about going back and worrying if I'm mentally ready but I also don't want to wait longer - so it's a mind tussle. Had quite a lot of down days but I've had a nice weekend and hopefully when I'm "in" it and actively doing something I'll feel better. We have said though if anything should happen and the cycle gets cancelled we'll just send what we have for testing as going down for the cycle is a lot and costly.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and it's sunny where you all are ☀️

Jx3303 · 11/09/2023 18:52

@LF82 hope your scan today went well xx

LF82 · 11/09/2023 21:11

Thank you @Jx3303 They said it look like the down reg was working. My next injection is next week & then another scan 3 weeks later. Then if things are going as they expect it’s time to prep for a frozen transfer…. Whatever that entails! She said it would take c20 days from that scan. So maybe end of October? Trying not to think that far ahead for now.
how are you? Sorry to hear you have been feeling up & down but it’s so understandable and so so relatable. Think it’s how my husband would describe me this year! X

Jx3303 · 11/09/2023 21:21

@LF82 that's really great news that it looks to be working! And hopefully won't be too long until you prep for your FET!

Thank you 🩷 i'm doing better - I had a nice weekend and spoke to the consultant today, the one I really like. We've confirmed we want to PGT-A test all embryos and we're going to slightly up my stims medication for this last cycle - he said it might make a difference, might not but worth a shot and sure they'll closely monitor. I'm hoping meds get ordered tomorrow and delivered Wednesday as period could come any time. I'll likely go down on day4 myself again for a few days and stay somewhere cheap and then my OH and pup will come down for the last few days. Xx

LF82 · 11/09/2023 21:35

thank you @Jx3303 Feels strange that I might actually be at the stage where I get to have a transfer.

that’s great news that you had your appointment and all went well. They are usually very quick at ordering the meds so fingers crossed they arrive quickly! Did he say how long the testing will take? X

Jx3303 · 11/09/2023 21:51

@LF82 after all the waiting I'm sure it does! I felt the same our first transfer. Really hope you can start planning for your FET soon 🤞🏻

I didn't actually ask but I think it's only a few weeks. Yeah I've had next day for the previous cycles - they've changed from fertility2u to stork she said today - and to keep an eye on my phone tomorrow for them calling. The Consultant also said it didn't matter if I started cycle day 3 but hopefully I'll have them in plenty of time xx

LF82 · 11/09/2023 22:01

@Jx3303 Stork delivered mine really quickly last time - I said it was urgent when they rang x

Jx3303 · 11/09/2023 22:13

@LF82 that's good news! Yeah the patient coordinator (not my usual as she's off but this one just as lovely) said she'd mark it as urgent so hopefully I'll have it all ready and here soon xx

Crystal88 · 12/09/2023 08:31

@Jx3303 thats great news you can start again soon, I have all my fingers crossed for you xx

@LF82 looks like injection are working for you, looks like you will be having frozen transfer around the same time I start my injections

i have managed to get a treatment consultation on 3rd October, and has long has my weight check goes all right on 6th october then I should be able to start end of October cycle. Nice holiday to come first, fly out on 23rd September to Rhodes, hopefully our last holiday aboard without a kid I can hope lol, I can’t wait to relax before the madness starts again xx

countrypunk · 13/09/2023 18:03

@Jx3303 Sorry, I went a bit quiet. I had a small bleed at the weekend which was really scary. Had another scan today and everything looks fine. Really going to try and relax now, I've been driving myself mad with worry!

Completely understandable that you've been feeling up and down about starting again. You've got to steel yourself mentally haven't you. I think and hope that once you start you'll be OK. And I think your plan to send your current embryos for testing if the next cycle gets cancelled is sensible. I really hope that doesn't happen though and all goes really well for you ❤️❤️❤️

@LF82 Good news about your scan and that you have a transfer in sight! Xx

@Crystal88 Hope you have a lovely holiday and are feeling nice and relaxed for your next cycle. Xx

Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 18:30

@Crystal88 that's great you've a consultation booked in a few weeks time, and a lovely holiday to look forward to beforehand ☀️ Rhodes will be lovely I'm sure x

@countrypunk don't ever have to apologise lovely 🩷 I'm really sorry you've had a scare but so glad all is ok. I can only imagine how hard pregnancy after loss is, take each day as it comes. I'm sure there's some support info on the miscarriage awareness charity website if that would perhaps help any, maybe some tips and advice x

Yeah I'm feeling a little better now I'm away to actually be "doing" and not just waiting. Meds were meant to come today but they haven't been processed completely or something so coming Friday, I hope! Just as well my period isn't here but reckon it's close as I'm tired and grumpy 😂 although i have leaned on my OH A LOT in recent months and haven't been apart much so I'm hoping ill be ok going down to Manchester myself for the first few days 🤞🏻 xx

countrypunk · 13/09/2023 19:03

@Jx3303 🥰 Thank you. Totally relate to the leaning - I've been doing the exact same with my OH. Will your OH bring your dog when he comes?

Hope your meds arrive sharpish! Good that your period hasn't arrived yet, but can you start on day 3 if it arrives before meds? That gives you some wiggle room.

I've got all fingers and toes crossed for you for this round. And then you can breathe a massive sigh of relief. Xx

OP posts:
Jx3303 · 13/09/2023 19:54

@countrypunk yeah he'll bring her down with him 🐶 and we'll move to a different airbnb for all of us!

I know - just want them safely in the fridge. Have always had them in plenty time for previous cycles but yeah the consultant said it was fine if I had to start cycle day 3.

Thank you so much 🩷 it's a bit of a thought but once I'm down there I'm sure I'll be fine. Not looking forward to the PGT-A testing wait. It's not long but the outcome is daunting.

Do you have another scan booked?
And is that you discharged from your clinic? Xx

countrypunk · 13/09/2023 21:12

@Jx3303 I know. It's all about getting through each stage isn't it. I think that's the worst aspect of all of this, the utter rollercoaster IVF forces you to live. It's bloody exhausting.

Yeah I got discharged after my 7 week scan! The 12 week scan was at my hospital. We also got our screening results back today for the various chromosomal disorders and they were all low risk, so that was another weight off. And we told some more family who were all very excited, so that was nice. Xx
