@Crystal88 You are so brave and strong too. You are in no way a failure - none of this is your fault, it's just horrible luck. I'm really glad you've got a review with your clinic, I hope they have some ideas and you can plan a way to move forwards with positivity and hope, whatever you decide to do. Xx

@LF82 Ah, that's such wonderful news! Massive congratulations. It is all completely surreal - still for me too. I found time went quite slowly up to about 16 weeks and now it's zooming by. Enjoy ❤️

@Foreverhoping33 Congratulations on your little boy! It must have been really frightening to get the news about his heart. I hope you're being really well looked after. Sending loads of love, please let us know when your son arrives! Xx

@Crystal88 dont ever think you are a failure, the infertility journey is such a hard one but as you say you will be a mum one day. I truly hope 2024 brings you all that you wish for.

Hey all

had meeting with clinic today they have said that the only option I have is using egg donation, they don’t think my eggs are good enough. Need time to process this and then see where we go from there. Said there is about 12 month waiting list for egg donation with create, so nothing going to happen for a while even if I want to go that route xx

@Crystal88 how are you? I can imagine that must be a lot to get your head around. Have they suggested speaking to someone in the same situation or a counsellor. Sending you lots of love x

All good here, 5 weeks till due date. Feeling extremely full!

@countrypunk that has gone so quick. you will need to keep us updated

i am enjoying life, i can drink and eat whatever i want as i don't need to worry about ivf, they said it could be anywhere between 6-12 months to find one and then the fun begins. To see whether donor egg fertilised and they can be implanted in me. just trying to stay positive it will work :) xx

Excellent, glad to hear that you're enjoying yourself and doing exactly as you want. Definitely make the most of it. I'm sure the 6 to 12 months will fly by anyway. Get a holiday in! And keep us updated too x

Hey @Crystal88 great news that you’re on the waiting list, and make the most of this time not worrying about ivf. When we moved to DE it was like a weight was lifted and our first try was successful- my son is now 13 weeks! Best decision ever ❤️

I am doing well, 20 weeks next week. It’s gone quickly but also feels like I have been pregnant for ages. Xxx

@countrypunk yes felt so surreal and actually I still look at him and I can’t believe it, they are such miracles ❤️
@LF82 exciting that your now at 20 week point, time does fly so much it’s crazy!

@LF82 20 weeks! Amazing! Yes I agree - it's gone both quickly and slowly. I mean it is a pretty long time, nearly a year. And the early months are stressful, just waiting to get to the next stage. I hope you're relaxing into it now and enjoying it. It's pretty magical. Xx

@Hopewishprayer when you went through the DE process did you get tested for CMV, I have just had my results back and they think I am positive for it now and that I need to have another test to see how I have had it it before they look for donor, just wondering if it happened to you xx

@Crystal88 I don’t recall being tested for this but it could have been part of the screening and just never flagged up for me, hopefully doesn’t impact your process too much x

@countrypunk I’m ok I have been given the all clear to go on waiting list for a egg donor so it’s just waiting game, got a holiday booked for end of month and then see what happens xx
