Hi all, good to hear your egg collection went well @Jx3303 ! Stay hopefully @LF82 4 eggs is good and could all continue to grow. Though I know it’s hard when body doesn’t respond well.

my collection went well too we got 10 eggs (same as last time!) and surprisingly my husbands sperm seems to have been much better too!

i was quizzing the doctors about when we can try again for a transfer and they were saying to wait a cycle so I am now looking at early June at the earliest which has me quite down. Going to ask clinic to monitor my cycle next month (with no hormones) and if lining is thick push for a transfer. Not sure they will agree though as my next meeting with the nurse is after when my period is due so would miss the baseline scan….

@Foreverhoping33 fantastic news that they collected 10 eggs and that your husbands sample better! I'm sorry that they think it will be June before another transfer attempt though, I really hope that they can monitor next month and it's before then that you can try again. I hope you are having a nice restful day xx

@Crystal88 thank you lovely. Had a chilled day on the sofa with Netflix and we move from this airbnb tomorrow to one in a different area, I'm looking forward to the change of scenery xx

Hope everyone is doing ok- especially anyone still waiting for phone calls. The embryologist rang and 3 of the 4 eggs they collected yesterday have fertilised 🤞 Now onto the wait for the next call on Saturday to see if they make it up day 3. This ivf journey is so hard - I know you all know this. Sending everyone positivity & love x

That's the best news @LF82 really really happy for you ❤️ I just had my update too, both our eggs mature and fertilised 🥹 I thought the calls would be a little less nerve wracking this time, but no my heart was still absolutely pounding!! I hope you can enjoy the rest of today and tomorrow before Saturday update. I'm booked in for a provisional transfer Saturday (I think they have to do this as protocol if there are few eggs) but seeing as we've 2 day 5s in the freezer unlikely we'll go Saturday and they'll push to Monday. A bit confusing the way we are doing it 😂 moving to West Yorkshire today which I'm looking forward to - I feel like I've been in this flat forever haha!

@LF82 thank you 😊 it's just an hour away and they advised transfer would be in the afternoon and they'd give me plenty of time so we'll just be up and ready. I'm trying to work and manically clean before we leave as there is someone else coming to it today and I said I'd clean it (she knew we left it spotless last time) ready for the next person - which also works for us and we can stay til afternoon. Do you have anything nice planned this weekend? Xx

@Jx3303 we decided we would have a night away tomorrow, prob can’t really afford it but feel like we need it!

Hi All, so pleased to hear about your embryos! Both such good news I hope you are very happy!

I have just had my call now (I managed to miss it twice this morning!) Of the 10 eggs collected 8 were mature and all of them have fertilised! I am very pleased and can agree with @Jx3303 it definitely doesnt get any less nerve racking!

Next update on saturday too, will keep my fingers crossed for all of us. xxxx

@Foreverhoping33 fantastic news!! I know not getting to transfer again is so disappointing for you, but I hope that banking some more embryos has made it a little easier to deal with. It's so daunting isn't it! I was a little less on edge all morning than I have been previously, but when I knew the call would likely be close I started to get that feeling of palpitations and nerves again! Do you have anything nice planned over the weekend? Xx

@Jx3303 thanks for your message. I am slightly worried we will have embryos but never be able to do a transfer! But trying not to worry too much especially as there isn’t much I can do.

we are off to Newcastle to stay with my in laws which will be nice. Sister in law is going too with their baby which I think may be tough but we will see. What are you up to? Exciting news about your transfer! Such a milestone to make, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Xxxx

@Foreverhoping33 I know, we all just so badly want to have a shot, a full go don't we. That's why we're aiming for transfer this time, over a year of IVF with no transfer has been hard.

Aw lovely, Newcastle will be great I'm sure. I hope you enjoy your time with the family and the baby, these things can be super hard so I hope they are all gentle with you ❤️

We moved to another airbnb yesterday, a very cute rustic retro cottage! Working today and then will be nice to have the weekend for dog walks and some time off and then we'll go home after transfer (fingers crossed) Monday. I can't wait for my own bed!

I'm almost certain the nurse said, but I'm to take my morning pessary as usual prior to transfer arent I? I take it at 6am so it's plenty time ahead of any transfer xx

Yes still take you pessary morning of transfer and then they will sort everything out when there! I’m so happy for you that you finally get a transfer!! Ivf for a year without this must have been very tough! I’m keeping absolutely everything crossed for you!!

after researching I have decided aspirin could help to reduce miscarriage particular for those of us with thin linings. Thought I would share for us all to discuss with our doctors. Xxxx

@Foreverhoping33 yes for sure, as much as it's a tough gang to be in, everyone in the same boat is amazing, the most empathic supportive people ever ❤️

Thank you - I re-read my sheet and realised it said on there too 🙈 after I'd emailed my clinic. Thanks so much, I just so badly want a try! This part of IVF is all new to me! So far the pessaries are ok, I read they are a newer brand with less side effects so that's good. Making me super gassy though haha 😂

I have seen people speak about baby aspirin before, I hope that's something your Dr can discuss with you! Xx

Both our embryos are looking good at day 3 and will be left until day 5/day 6. Booked in for transfer on Monday (with whatever embryo is best - we've done consents should they need to thaw from previous round) and then hometime, can't wait 👏🏻

I didn’t hear from the clinic until about 1.30pm so was getting worried, but all three embryos are doing well & are being left to day 5. Next update on Monday 🤞

@LF82 fantastic news!! Really happy to hear that! What a shame you had to wait til so late on though, it's so hard isn't it. I ended up calling cos I needed to know if we had to travel back or not. They called back not long after thankfully! I wasn't mentally prepared for it today 😂

Was last night York or tonight? We've had a lovely day, I sat and read my book in the sun, we've been a long dog walk around a great reservoir and going to a Brazilian restaurant for dinner. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend ❤️

@Jx3303 that sounds like such a lovely day! To be honest I was about 5 minutes from calling them too as it was really stressing me! York was yesterday - just what we needed and such lovely weather!
