@LF82 I was 99% sure transfer wouldn't happen today but it was making me anxious waiting and wanting to make sure we had plenty of time to drive back. I hope you've had a more relaxing afternoon after the stressful morning! Aw lovely glad you had a nice time! It's been such great weather the last few days, I've enjoyed the extra couple of degrees you guys get down here compared to us in Scotland ☀️

just catching up on this thread, I have been celebrating my 40th birthday this week and haven’t stopped!
@Jx3303 @LF82 @Foreverhoping33 happy to hear that your embryos are positively developing, thinking of you all tomorrow for your next update.
I find the day 3 and day 5 updates to be hardest part of the whole process so nerve wracking! Sounds like you are all on a great place 🙏

Thank you 😊 I am so looking forward to going home tomorrow. I've been away for almost 2 weeks! Fingers crossed both make it to Day 5 and best one is transferred 🤞🏻

@Jx3303 Hello! I'm so pleased and excited for you - genuinely. It's been a long time coming, hasn't it. Are you back to work on Tuesday? WFH? I think I found the distraction of work quite good. For me the first week went quickly because I was excited and the second week dragged because I just wanted to test! Just look after yourself. I'll be thinking about you loads.

All good here, being very lazy. All three of us (me, DP, dog) still in bed. Looking forward to our consultation in a week or so and then holiday. I'm just going to eat and read and bob about in the pool. I can't wait!

@countrypunk thank you so much ❤️ yes such a long time coming - we did our first cycle of IVF last March! Yeah back to work Tuesday but WFH as our dog walker is off on her holidays. I normally go in a Tuesday Thursday, I might go Thursday but I have a counselling call at 1pm so would have to do it somewhere private at work. But yeah being in the office will likely help take my mind off it! Yeah I'm determined not to test until the day they tell me 🤞🏻

Sounds lovely! We're having a very lazy day too! We've done a lot of long walks whilst we've been away but today we're tired and will likely just do a couple smaller ones and I've requested we find a nice pub for tea! Aw amazing, a much deserved holiday! I highly recommend any and all the Colleen Hoover books! I normally like chic lit but hers have quite deep and meaningful twists and stories. Nice to have your consultation soon too. I found a new clinic was a good new start and I could try and leave the trauma of the previous cycles at the old clinic xx

thank you for the birthday wishes, I have been feeling really nauseous past few days but had a great time, overnight with DH, meal out with family and night out last night with friends. Highlight was when DH took me on a boat trip and ended up sitting in a corner spewing into a sock bag 😱🤣
I have a spa overnight with my mum tomorrow so looking forward to that!
@Jx3303 not long until you will be home, that will be lovely especially into your own bed!
@countrypunk great you have your consultation before holiday, you can take some time to relax, sounds lovely lying by the pool

I have been looking after my OH all weekend he has bad toothache managed to get him emergency appointment today so hopefully they sort it 🙄

Day 5 update for me… they are leaving all 3 embryos until tomorrow. Two are apparently trying to form blactocysts but not able to grade them yet. The third she said she wasn’t sure would do anything but they will still leave it until tomorrow. Not sure whether I should still be hopeful about the first 2 or if I should prepare for the worst if I am honest.

@Foreverhoping33 thank you! My scan is closer to 8 weeks, so a week on wed x
@Crystal88 thank you! That’s a shame about DH nothing worse than toothache, hopefully he gets some relief soon!
@LF82 Sorry your having to wait another day, the wait is long enough! I have read loads about 6 day blast success, they can still go on to be good quality on day 6, hoping this is the case for you x

@Crystal88 oh no your poor OH! Toothache is the worst! I hope it gets sorted today and he's feeling much better asap!

@LF82 I'm sorry you're having to wait another day, I really hope all three join your other frosties tomorrow 🤞🏻 stay hopeful, a lot can change in a day and they may just need a little more time. Sending all the love and positivity xxx

Transfer done and on the way home, back in Scotland and a bit to go 😊

Wow I've never been at that angle in a clinic, I was almost upside down 😂 felt like I was going to slide off the bed from my head downwards. No dignity when the Drs face is literally in line with your lady bits with your legs akimbo ha. It was the same Dr who did my egg collection who was so chuffed to be doing my transfer too and pleased with our results. OH didn't get to come in but I seen the wee flash 💫 and we got photos ❤️ now to try and relax ✌🏻

I found my most recent transfer to be so embarrassing with the angle I was at and the big spotlight shining directly onto me 🙈 couldn’t get out of there quick enough 😂
time to relax and put your feet up as much as you can over next 2 weeks x

our clinic finally called at 5.15pm today. They have frozen 5 embryos and left the other 3 to grow till tomorrow. We are very pleased. Xxxx
