@Jx3303 the week after, it’s with the consultant who say us initially. Going to just do my best to stay relaxed until we speak to him x

Hopewishprayer · 14/04/2023 09:38

@LF82 i used coq-10 for about a year, I used Holland and Barrett 200mg and took 3 per day. It’s really expensive but sometimes can get buy one half price offer. I don’t think it made any difference with me but I have read loads that it makes a difference for some people so worth a try!

LF82 · 14/04/2023 11:03

Thanks @Hopewishprayer x

Crystal88 · 17/04/2023 07:32

How has everyone weekend been

I had a quiet one really, packed for my holiday two weeks and counting and then relaxed

i have my follow up call tomorrow from my baseline, i am hoping it will be fine xx

LF82 · 17/04/2023 07:38

@Crystal88 I had a quiet weekend too. Bet you can’t wait for your holiday! Not long to go. Good luck for your appt tomorrow 🤞 We have our appt next week with the consultant to discuss the next round/changes etc. hope everyone is doing well x

Jx3303 · 17/04/2023 08:29

@Crystal88 oh lovely, not long now ☀️ I hope your follow up call tomorrow goes well xx

@LF82 glad you don't have long to wait for your consultant follow up. Although I know sometimes a few week feels like months! I think this week is going to be more difficult than last.

We had a nice chilled weekend, the sun was out on Saturday which was lovely, nice long dog walk and we sat in our garden for hours. I'm trying really hard not to symptom spot and I haven't really had any major anyway. Beginning to get very scared of the outcome xx

LF82 · 17/04/2023 12:13

@Jx3303 I have everything crossed for you! Try your best to relax & not google/symptom spot. Easier said than done I know. Xx

Jx3303 · 17/04/2023 12:41

@LF82 thanks so much ❤️ yeah I'm avoiding googling anything and I am glad I have managed to do that, I know it won't bring any good! I did a nice relaxing TWW yoga class on YouTube this morning which helped to calm my mind. Really trying to remember what will be will be, and there's nothing I can do xxx

Foreverhoping33 · 17/04/2023 12:52

Hi all hope you are well. I had my follow up call with the doctor today about my cancelled cycle again. Apparently they now think I have scar tissue in my uterus from D&C after miscarriage and want to do a hysteroscopy to check.
problem is the waiting list is 3 months on nhs and then requires another 8-12weeks for recovery. As you can imagine I am not very keen!

wanted to check if any of you had had a hysteroscopy and if you have any advice in general for me. Feeling pretty miserable right now. Xxxx

Jx3303 · 17/04/2023 12:59

@Foreverhoping33 oh I'm so sorry 😞 not the update you wanted to hear at all I am sure. I don't have any experience but I really hope that the wait for the hysteroscopy wouldn't be as long as they've said. Is it something that could be done privately at all did they say? Although I've not been in the same situation I really do understand the frustration that comes with waiting for next steps. Sending lots of love xxx

countrypunk · 17/04/2023 15:58

@Foreverhoping33 Oh I'm sorry. There was a thread about possible complications after D&C that I read when I was having mine and one of the women had this. Her doctor turned her away several times and in the end I think she went private. Confirmed Asherman's but the treatment is straightforward and was successful.

My IVF clinic definitely do hysteroscopies - does yours not?

@Foreverhoping33 I'm so sorry, i don't have any experience with a hysteroscopies, but i know everything NHS takes ages .
Hope you get it sorted soon xx

LF82 · 17/04/2023 16:24

@Foreverhoping33 am so sorry, you must be so frustrated. I don’t have any experience myself but can’t help but definitely think there may be a specific thread on here about them which might help you. Thinking of you x

LF82 · 17/04/2023 16:24

@Jx3303 did you enjoy the yoga? I used to do yoga but stopped as covid hit & never got back into. Thinking it might be a good one to try again x

Jx3303 · 17/04/2023 16:44

@LF82 yeah it was good. It most involved lying on my back haha so nice and relaxing! I should have said video rather than class, it was a Bettina Rae one, I've done specific TTC ones of hers before on YouTube. I have also done one of the month plans of Adrienne's which is good. I dip in and out, sometimes I do it often but other times I have a huge gap, I do find it helps to calm me though when I need it xx

LF82 · 17/04/2023 16:46

Thanks @Jx3303 I might give that a look! X

Crystal88 · 18/04/2023 18:17

Consultation went well, told to start taking more folic Acid 5MG, more Vitamin D and COq10 to try and carry on taking the other supplements I’m taking to try and improve my egg quality

i have my treatment consultation after holiday, all geared up to start IVF again end May

part of me is excited and part of my nervous, but I know I have you got to help me through it xx

LF82 · 19/04/2023 04:08

Glad it went @Crystal88 and that they have set you up with a plan. Hope you are looking forward to your holiday x

Hopewishprayer · 19/04/2023 19:41

@Crystal88 glad your on track with a plan to move forward - have a fab holiday! X

Jx3303 · 20/04/2023 09:37

@Crystal88 that's great news! And interesting that your consultant did recommend coQ10 after us discussing it - @LF82 maybe create will suggest it too!

How is everyone else? Xx

LF82 · 20/04/2023 09:44

@Jx3303 will let you know what they say next week! How are you doing?

I started my withdrawal bleed this week and have had the worst cramps I have ever had - it’s been awful 😞

Jx3303 · 20/04/2023 09:56

@LF82 I hope the time isn't dragging waiting for your appointment. As it's after cycle day 1 I guess you're having to take this cycle as a break? I know it's difficult but also, it's not always a bad thing. Time to rest your body. I did not feel like that at the time when I hate to wait months but I think mentally and physically it does help 🫶🏻 sorry it's an awful period on top of everything too! I hope you've got a nice restful weekend ahead xx

I'm doing ok thank you - this week has definitely been harder than last week. I'm scared but remaining hopeful as not much else I can do 🤞🏻 I haven't told anyone at all OTD just as it's the one thing we wanted to keep between the two of us. Kind of regretted telling my mum and sister (more so my sister) that we had a transfer as it's pressure. I had never planned to but because the first attempt at cycle 2 was cancelled and we'd planned to do a transfer I told them, and I knew I'd not get away with hiding me being away for 5 extra days after egg collection 🙈 xx

LF82 · 20/04/2023 10:54

@Jx3303 yeah break this month & hopefully start again next cycle - May but will know more once I speak to the consultant

the wait must be so hard! I have my fingers crossed for you. Try your best not to worry about them knowing- they will just want to support you. When’s your blood test? Xx

Crystal88 · 20/04/2023 14:44

@LF82 we might be cycle buddies then, I’ve just started my period today. Although it’s painful I’m happy I won’t be on for holiday. Xx

@Jx3303 keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

hope everyone else is ok xx

countrypunk · 21/04/2023 16:48

Hello everyone 👋🏼

@Crystal88 Great news on your consultation! Weirdly my period came today too.

@LF82 Sorry about your cramps. I'm in the same boat so we can cramp in unison.

@Jx3303 Thinking of you. The second week is harder than the first isn't it. You're so nearly there.

Had our consultation with the new clinic yesterday and I really liked the doctor. It's a small clinic and all decisions are made by her which I like. Got to have a scan when my period's finished and then I'm hoping we can get going again soonest.

Have lovely weekends all.
