@LF82 oh that’s good sounds like you are making progress and will be on to your next cycle soon. I completely agree though ivf really is just one big waiting game!

I’m feeling ok trying to take it one day at a time and enjoy this period as much as I can. I do have some tiredness and nausea (not loads) which I am trying to see as a good thing. Yes finally on less than a week count down to scan now, though I’m terrified and half of me would like to remain in blissful hopefulness/ignorance where I am now. Xxx

@countrypunk good luck today lovely! I hope you managed to get some sleep last night. You've got this 💕 totally understand the feeling of nervousness and wanting to protect yourself. You will be in good hands and I hope you get some great eggs x

@Foreverhoping33 really glad you are taking it a day at a time and enjoying it as much as you can. It's such a nervewracking time but not long now until your scan. I felt like that in the tww, happy to be blissfully unaware! Keep enjoying it, and rest when you need to ❤️ xx

@Jx3303 i have private health through work and it doesn’t cover anything to do with infertility…. Not even any initial testing! So annoying

@LF82 same, I have BUPA with work and absolutely nothing fertility wise is covered. My OH has a different one but I wasn't on it and he's trying to add me but I think it's not that simple. He didn't know until very recently some things were covered and we thought we could maybe get something backdated but I'm not holding out too much hope x

Hello all

transfer happened

not the best 6 embryo grade 3

I think they said all this grading goes over my head

did say ovaries still looked enlarged

not sure what that means

@countrypunk how did you do xx

@Crystal88 fantastic news, congrats on being PUPO. Gradings are confusing and places seem to do it differently. Take comfort and faith in the fact that it was a good enough embyro for transfer so I really hope it gets cosy ❤️

They got 6 eggs, 5 mature, and the other is showing signs of maturity so they'll keep watching it. Next update on Sunday.

As I was coming round I asked the nurse for a cuddle and I'm so embarrassed 🫣 she completely ignored my request which somehow makes it worse!

I think far too much attention is paid to grading. It just causes more stress and anxiety. If we get any blastocysts this time round I'm not going to ask and I hope they won't tell me!

Aww can't believe she didn't 😞 I would have! Don't worry though, we all do stuff and say stuff after coming round, I barely said two words in EPU before my op and afterwards I was rambling off telling the nurse all about how it had been IVF and I was so paranoid as then I couldn't even remember what I'd said!

@Crystal88 oh yay congrats on being PUPO!! So pleased transfer went ahead, though now the waiting begins….I will have all my fingers crossed for a positive result, sending lots of love.

@countrypunk 5 mature eggs is fantastic well done you!! I hope you continue getting great news at the update tomorrow. Love that you asked for a cuddle - so sweet I would definitely have given you one! Xxxx

@Crystal88 Hello ❤️ We've got 1 2-cell embryo and 3 4-cell embryos. I'm just conscious that at this stage last round we had 8 embryos and ended up with 2 on day 5. So we may end up with nothing non day 5. Just really trying to manage expectations. I don't think my eggs are very good quality.

How are you getting on? Xx

@countrypunk keep the faith I’m sure it will be fine

I’m ok had two relaxing days which my OH has been looking after me

still have stomach and back cramps and sore heavy breast so i think my hormone level is really high. I know when I had my egg transfer they said my ovaries was still enlarged so that’s probably why, trying not to think to much on symptoms and still going with the flow

have they give you a egg transfer date xx

@Crystal88 Yes, provisional transfer for Wednesday. We shall see...

Weirdly I don't have the breast soreness that I had on my last round - no pain or heaviness there at all. Dunno what that means!

@countrypunk I am ok, had a bit of a wobble yesterday to be honest. Think it’s all the uncertainty & then just seeing everyone either pregnant or with a baby every place I go 🙈
Need to ring the clinic again as they are being really poor at getting in touch & I need to order some meds!
will you get any update from your clinic before Wednesday? X
