@countrypunk that's fab news! Are you pleased with your scan and how it's looking for collection? I hope so ❤️

I did double trigger one right after the other (ovitrelle) for my cycles with create.

@countrypunk I had double trigger on my first round

was meant to this time too but had bloods done and said I only needed one. Not sure if this caused only 2 eggs has reading on net it says empty folicies can be down to egg not detaching when triggering so maybe I should of had two again this time I will never known

not long had a phone call they said the one egg was not mature and other one is mature and it shows sign of being able to fertilise so provisionally booked in for Friday afternoon for transfer

just carrying on going with flow, feeling very achy today in my back hoping it will pass xx

Ah thanks for the info on the double trigger stuff. So I'm doing the usual ovitrelle pen, but they gave me two so they've told me to do half of the second ovitrelle pen too. Does that count as a double trigger? Doc was talking about doing ovitrelle and buserelin together but decided against. I wish I'd asked more about it now! I wonder if they base it on your oestrogen levels?

@Jx3303 I don't feel very excited or hopeful to be honest. I don't know why. Maybe my subconscious is trying to protect me... I'm actually thinking about what we're gonna do next round! 💛

@countrypunk yeah I think it’s based on levels as I had two but was told to just do one

@countrypunk I'm not too sure the theory behind it either although I think I did ask at my nurse consultation but didn't really understand if it was double or dual or just two doses, I think it's to help to mature eggs? My double trigger was always on my plan from prior to any bloods before collection. I would think that would still count but perhaps why they call it dual as its not quite double? Everywhere is so different it's so confusing isn't it, but with my NHS cycles I just had the one.

I get that, completely. After what you've been through it's understandable to want to protect yourself as much as possible. That's part of why we're taking a break. You're doing amazing, you're so close to collection so stay strong 💪🏻 xxx

Just had a call from the nurse - it's at 10:30am. Trigger at midnight tonight.

My first one was midnight trigger, I had to set an alarm

this time mine was 8.30pm exactly 36 hours has I had collection at 8.30am

i am preparing to start again as I not confident with this one, just got a feeling that 2023 isn’t my year xx

@countrypunk midnight trigger is so late isn't it! But then an injection free day tomorrow 👍🏻

@Crystal88 I'm sorry you're not feeling confident, I think we all know how that feels, but we are all here cheering you on and I so hope that you are able to transfer on Friday 💕

@countrypunk thats great news re your egg collection being booked in. For both my egg collections I had 2 lots of ovitrelle 250ml injections- but not sure if that’s a double shot given I am doing mild ivf and all my meds are lower than others!?

@LF82 yeah I have no idea the theory behind it either for us, and if it's different when doing lower stims. How are you? Xx

@Crystal88 I hope you're wrong and this egg is the one. But I also relate. I like you lot being positive at me when I'm being negative. From anyone else it annoys me! Xx

@LF82 Interesting, double trigger sounds like a Create thing. I think we'll go with them next time and do the 3 cycle deal. We paid a premium for this clinic and it doesn't feel like it's been good value for money. In the end the drugs are all the same and you just want a medical professional who listens to you and has some ideas.

@Jx3303 Yeah, no more injections tomorrow! On to the joys of pessaries in orifices instead 😆

@countrypunk oh my god I know I'm the exact same!! It doesn't come across well from people who aren't in it does it. A nurse at EPU last week thought telling me she'd had three ladies in that week who had had babies with IVF and were now pregnant again naturally was a story I wanted to hear. I was internally yelling shut up! She's like "you never know" and i replied "well it would be a lot cheaper!" Like seriously 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Jx3303 Oh I know. Either show me sympathy or shut up. I don't need your happy clappy anecdotes right now, funnily enough hearing that several other women you know are pregnant doesn't actually make me feel better 🙄 xx

@countrypunk exactly! And she was talking second babies. I always am like yes I am well aware sometimes it happens before / between cycles etc. but I cannot count on that - I'm doing IVF because that hasn't happened! Some people! Grr haha! I acted nice but I was ranting to OH when we got home 😂

@countrypunk it really is isn't it! I mean I'm sensitive anyway but that's really not something a nurse (who was actually one of the older ones, the rest were amazing and didn't say anything even like that) should be saying after a miscarriage and weeks of appointments.

@Jx3303 I am ok, annoyed with my patient co-ordinator as I have emailed her 3 times over the last two weeks & had no reply! Have rang the central line today & asked them to get someone from the clinic to call me back. I want to get ordering meds… and she was meant to be getting me a statement to show how much we have spent so far. How are you? Have you started packing yet?

@LF82 oh that is very annoying! I hope you hear back soon! Have they just added the additional meds and not told you the cost and then the cost that will be for next cycle? Did you have to pay separate for the MRI. I dread to think what my FET will cost as I medicated would be cheaper meds wise but probably cost me a fortune in scans up here so medicated would probably be less stressful but more costly. I'm sure I've already got an additional tab for scans and meds that were outwith with standard package. I'm ok thank you, yeah think I'm mostly there with the packing, went and got toiletries on lunch. 4 working days left 👏🏻

@Jx3303 yes so I had more gonal last time & the same now. Also they haven’t charged me for the scans from last time when my cycle got cancelled. I think I have to pay for the meds this time round basically. And then he said I would have to have 3 months of a monthly injection before my transfer but didn’t tell me how much that was! I just want to be able to organise 🤣
Oh amazing 4 working days will fly, you & your husband will be in Majorca before you know it x

@Crystal88 I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get as many eggs as hoped for, but happy to hear one has fertilised! Transfer on Friday sounds good, keeping my fingers crossed all goes well!!

@Foreverhoping33 once I finish this pill packet - another few days- they said that they will scan me on day 2 of my next period to check all the follicles from the cancelled cycle have gone. If they have we can start the next round then. I hate all the waiting! How are you doing? Not long to your scan 🥰

@LF82 yeah the costs can add up can't they, and I understand they give us them to help but not knowing the cost worries me too as I like to be organised as well. I hope they get back to you ASAP. We'd hoped my OHs health insurance could maybe cover some we'd paid already or even treatment going forward but he's not managed to get me added yet so I'm not holding my breathe! I also don't want to do my third egg collection (not right now anyway seeing as we've 4 frozen embryos) but it probably won't make much difference as they'll charge us for 2 single cycles which are more expensive.

@countrypunk did you look into your health insurance and have any luck? I hope it's been a nice injection free day and you're feeling ok for tomorrow ❤️

@Jx3303 No I haven't yet! Completely slipped my mind. Actually I did ask DP to but he definitely won't have.

I feel OK. Bit nervous and trying not to get carried away with high hopes 😣
